A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) two nights ago held its global premiere in Venice.  After its completion the audience gave over 10 minutes of applause.  The live audience reaction got Ann Hui On Wa and Deanie Ip Tak Han teary eyed, as Lau Tak Wa repeatedly said "Thank You".  Later he led the group out of the ceremony.  A SIMPLE LIFE faced strong competition this time and only has been considered having an outside chance.  After the premiere two nights ago, the enthusiastic audience reaction made it a "dark horse" and had a chance to win at any time.

Boss Yu Dong also went to the Venice Film Festival in support and even posed for photos with the cast.  Yu Dong said that this group photo was particularly meaningful.  Yu Dong also had a cameo as the boss in the film.  Wa Jai joked that in the film Yu Dong performed very well and had a chance to compete for a new actor award.  Ip Tak Han stated that before the premiere she was originally very nervous and looked forward very much to everyone's reaction.  Seeing the audience liking the film brought tears to her eyes.

Hui On Wa was asked whether she was more confident.  She said again that she would only want to face it in peace, which she believed that it would be very hard to do.  However with the good premiere reaction, she could finally breathe a sigh of relief.  She also said that she was very touched.  Other actors in the film included Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Helena Law Lan, Paul Chun Pui, Angelababy and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Chow Man Wai.  Lau Tak Wa also said that Ip Tak Han this time ran into a good character and she performed very outstandingly.  The competition was also strong, but he still believed that this film would run out because the festival had no similar genre film.  Later everyone dined with reporters, some foreign reporters said that the film brought tears to their eyes.  Co-star Qin Hailu also said that she was very touched after seeing the film.
