The Ann Hui On Wa directed, Deanie Ip Tak Han and Andy Lau Tak Wa starred A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) after two days ago winning the "Equal Opportunity Award" at the Venice Film Festival yesterday won two more awards before the closing ceremony.  As it received a special prize from the Catholic Humanitarian Spirit Group Signis for expressing the spiritual message of serving others.  At the same time an Italian film organization presented a La Navicella prize to A SIMPLE LIFE in honor of the film's humanitarian spirit.

The film won three award on the eve of the award presentation, Hui On Wa honestly said that she was more and more excited.  The special prize from the Catholic Humanitarian Spirit organization Signis was also presented to her over a decade ago for SUMMER SNOW (NUI YUN SEI SUP).  She joked that she and the organization had a special connection.  After A SIMPLE LIFE's Venice Film Festival screening, everyday different foreign reporters would congratulate her on the streets and praise her work.  She and the story's protagonist and producer Roger Lee Yun Lam were very touched.  They never expected such a good reaction from everyone.  As for Ip Tan Ha because she had to prepare for the evening's closing ceremony, she did not accept the award with the director.  However she thought the three awards were pleasant surprises and joked that the two suitcases of clothes that she brought was just enough for the parties.
