[2015.07.09] WONG KA YAN LEADING ACTORS WIN AWARDS

The Wong Yau Nam and Karena Ng Chin Yu starred film WONG KA YAN will open in November, but recently it received good news as they received the Indie Fest film awards of excellence for leading actor and leading actress. Unfortunately they were unable to accept the award in person. Yesterday Yau Nam and Chin Yu returned to the film company and received their first film award of their careers from boss Raymond Wong Pak Ming.

Yau Nam and Chin Yu were excited about their first film award. Yau Nam said, "I have been in the business for 14 years, I have been nominated but this time I won. I am very touched. I would cherish it because to receive recognition in film is very hard." After only four years in the business, Chin Yu felt that any award was a recognition for an actor. Will they celebrate together? Chin Yu suggested for boss Wong Pak Ming to take them to dinner and a reunion with the team. Yau Nam said that after the dinner with the boss he will celebrate with another dinner with friends.

The film also won the Golden Palm Award for First Time Filmmaker at the Mexico International Film Festival and received five nominations at the World Music and Independent Film Festival, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director and Best Cinematography.
