Popular Japanese star Satoshi Tsumabuki earlier appeared at the Shanghai International Film Festival and brought VILLAIN, the film that swept Japanese film awards to open the film festival. Satoshi Tsumabuki's first trip to Shanghai attracted many fans.

Last year with the film VILLAIN Satoshi Tsumabuki won many Japanese Best Actor awards. He changed from the blond and unkempt murder image in the film and appeared in a black suit. Satoshi Tsumabuki not only praised Shanghai food as "very delicious" but also revealed that in
October he will come to China again and work with Shu Qi on the Hou Hsiao-Hisen directed film NIE YIN NIANG. He thought that his performance secret was "acting is forgetting yourself and becoming the character."

Satoshi Tsumabuki said that most of his understanding of China came from Chinese films that were released in Japan. He said that he admired very much Zhang Yimou and his current co-worker Hou Hsiao-Hsien. He also liked Zhang Ziyi very much. As for future dreams, he bashfully smiled and lowered his head. "I am not too sure yet."
