Competing for this year's Shanghai International Film Festival Asian new comer award, the film THE DEVIL INSIDE ME held an audience meeting. Director Zhang Qi appeared with actress Anya. Kelly Lin (Lam Hei Lui) was absent due to her pregnancy, but Zhang Qi recognized Lam Hei Lui's effort in the film. "This must be the movie that she suffered the most for in her career!"
Zhang Qi laughed and revealed, "I dare to confirm that this movie must be the one in which Lam Hei Lui has had the most contact with water and suffer the most in her career, it also is the most memorable film in her career because after my movie she got married and started a family." Anya also revealed, "Lam Hei Lui earlier said, since she dared to perform in THE DEVIL INSIDE ME she had the courage to get married."
THE DEVIL INSIDE ME is a story about heart memory. The film takes the female lead perspective to display the suspense and examine the extreme case of a heart transplant that carries the memory of the dead. When asked why this subject was chosen, Zhang Qi said, "Suspense film is a genre that can be made without too much investment, the genre that can touch viewers with the story. From the female perspective, any horrifying scene would create a mental recognition and sympathy in men and women."
