With over 100 actors in its cast, the Emperor film BEGINNING OF THE GREAT REVIVAL director Huang Jianxin constantly had to make changes to keep actors in mind. Finally many actors' parts were still cut, dropping the original over 170 actors to 108. The director was helpless. He said, "They performed well, but we also had to consider the overall film factor. We could only abandon the parts outside the main story. We would like to make a highlight collection and put the around 18 minute long footage online as compensation!"
