After 7 years, Ronny Yu Yun Tai's latest film SAVING GENERAL YANG (JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG) has finally been released. The film gathered hunks from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan: Adam Cheng Siu Chau, Dior Cheng Yi Kin, Yu Bo, Vic Chou Yu Man, Raymond Lam Fung, Wu Chun and others. With this group of hunks who looked good and could fight, they were transformed in the Yang Clan Generals of history to bring tou the gradually vanishing spirit of "loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, honor" in today's society.

Speaking of working with Raymond Wong Pak Ming on SAVING GENERAL YANG, Yu Yun Tai joked that 3 years ago when Wong Pak Ming suggested the collaboration, he immediately thought of this Yang Clan story and felt that "loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and honor" were worthy of discussion. However the Yang Clan Generals had many historical stories. Thus this time the "sons rescue father" story was purely fictional. He hoped that the simple story would make everyone understand. He said, "The movie wants to say, what is loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and honor? I feel the world now is missing some icons, unlike before when we would worship Bruce Lee. We would have a hero who we could learn from and imitate, so I hoped that this film would enable young people to find targets to learn from, to make them know that a hero had a sense of duty and responsibility." Thus Yu Yun Tai found 7 different types of hunks to play the 7 brothers. First they would draw viewers in, who would then learn from the story.

Speaking of the 7 hunks in the film, each was a superstar. To evenly distribute the roles was not easy, Yu Yun Tai however was able to. The most amazing part was he was able to make them all perform in person, without any double they completed a variety of horse riding and battle scenes. He said, "People are selfish, but I would from the start be clear with them, telling them why I would make this movie. This movie wasn't made for just one actor, but for respecting the Yang Clan self sacrificing spirit. They agreed. In addition they were able to accept before they worked together, this was always how I worked -- everything was in the clear, simple and direct. Then our collaboration would be successful."

He admitted that he used to want to work with a certain actor, but he turned it down due to the size of the role. He did not blame him, instead he felt it was for the best. It was better than minding this and that after accepting it. He even praised the 7 brothers in the film had great relationships on and off the screen. He even praised Chou Yu Man by name. He said, "Jai Jai truly opened my eyes. He only had 4 lines in the entire film. He was a very cool person. Because he was the sharpshooter, he would always remain behind to protect his family. Jai Jai truly performed very well, completely expressing the silent yet sharp look and never complaining about the lack of lines."

Because everyone truly worked together too pleasantly, Yu Yun Tai revealed plans to make a modern version with the same team. The hunks will go from battling on horses to chasing in hot cars. Conceivably the audience would scream!
