The Tenth Annual Chinese Film Media Award two nights ago took place in Guangzhou. Jack Kao with the film A PLACE OF ONE'S OWN won Best Supporting Actor. Lu Yi-Jing also with that film won Best Supporting Actress. Jack Kao expressed that the award was a recognition to him. "I don't just play boss (mob boss) roles, I can play a lot of characters."
Leon Dai two nights ago with NO PUEDO VIVIR SIN TI won Best Director. Originally his rumored girlfriend Kwan Lun-Mei was among the guests but she did not appear. He said, "I didn't call her, maybe she is in Hong Kong." He said that NO receiving Best Picture and Best Director in the Mainland was a huge recognition and success that he was very happy about.
Qin Hailu received the Most Talented Actress award. When will she work on a Hong Kong film again? She revealed that in November she will work with Peter Chan Ho Sun.
