The film SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) yesterday held a launch ceremony at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Attending actors included Jackie Chan, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Bai Bing, Fan Bingbing, Wu Jing, Yu Shaoqun and director Benny Chan Muk Sing. Earlier Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi appeared at a Shanghai film festival event with their son Lucas, who stole the show with his numerous expressions and even conquered Stephen Chow Sing Chi. Ting Fung honestly said that if their son's future salary will be higher than his, he will be able to retire.

Ting Fung yesterday appeared at the SHAOLIN press conference, as soon as he appeared 30 fans waved their banner and shouted for him. Speaking of his son Lucas being in Shanghai as well, Ting Fung expressed that he knew his son was present but left the matter to his wife. As for Lucas' excellent acting and numerous expressions, what will he do if his son's salary will be higher than his in the future? He honestly said that he will give his son room and joked, "If his salary will be higher than mine, how can I not be happy? Then I will just retire!" Speaking of his younger son Quintus, Ting Fung pointed out that he was in Hong Kong. Due to work he will host any month anniversary banquet. His parents were taking care of his younger son currently.

Big Brother Jackie Chan also had nothing but praise for Lucas. He said that if he made ROB B HOOD (BO BUI GAI WAT) again he could ask Lucas. Yet Lucas would get tossed and pinched, he would only be afraid that Ting Fung would be reluctant. He too felt Lucas was very talented. Reporters said that Cho Ming (Jaycee Chan) was not too wrong either, Big Brother though only gave his son 20 points because he was too lazy. Speaking of SHAOLIN, Big Brother had to work on another film so he went from the lead to a guest star. Although he only had seven days of work, they were very memorable. He even joked that he stole a lot of scenes. He also said that he developed a relationship with a group of little martial art monks. Before he left he even personally made them glutinous balls. All the little monks cried from unwilling to part with him. As for co-stars Ting Fung and Andy Lau Tak Wa, they had many action scenes in the film. Big Brother pointed out that Ting Fung has always studied kung fu so action film was not difficult for him. Wa Jai came from TVB and has made many action films so he was fine as well. He also pointed out that this film mainly wanted to carry forward the Chinese culture and did not need real fighting at every shot. Even when Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) and Zhang Ziyi made movies they did not fight for real either. The sense of beauty was the most important.

Director Chan Muk Sing pointed out that this film was different from the story 20 years ago. He pointed out that the film actually did not have much to do with kung fu. Mainly he wanted to tell the spirit of heroes and charity through the film.
