The Mainland film industry's annual event Huading Awards took place for the first time in Hong Kong; the award ceremony was star studded with China and Hong Kong Best Actors and Best Actresses like Jackie Chan, Andy Lau Tak Wa, Deanie Ip Tak Han, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Fan Bingbing; Korean superstars Lee Byung-Hun and Han Ga-In also participated.
