[2013.04.03] G.I. JOE: RETALIATION GETS EASTER VICTORY

The 4 day Easter holiday has come to an end. The film box office overall rose from last year, as this year's Easter total box office was HK$32,554,009, a rise of 21.82% from last year's HK$26,722,801.

Five films were released for Easter, the Korean hunk Lee Byung-Hun starred foreign film G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, the animated film THE CROODS, the Anthony Wong Chau Sun starred IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN), the Tang Wei starred FINDING MR. RIGHT and BEAUTIFUL CREATURES. G.I. JOE: RETALIATION made HK$11,379,714 over 4 days for first place. In second was THE CROODS with HK$8,700,694. Wong Chau Sun's IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT was in third with HK$4,103,225. All three films including late shows, advanced screenings had cumulative box office of HK$14,599,615, 11,568,281 and 4,909,688 respectively.

Tang Wei's FINDING MR. RIGHT and BEAUTIFUL CREATURES had accumulated HK$3,348,772 and 1,123,139 respectively.
