  In the early 90s, Bo Wa Chuen has already risen to the management level at a British company and rivaled foreigners in an unprecedented manner.  He was born to a fisherman family and did not start first grade until he was 20.  When he went to his job interview, under education he only wrote "literate".  Bo Wa Chuen was able to struggle to become the Chinese manager not only due to his hard work but also the timing element of the British handover of Hong Kong colonial control back to China.

  Bo Wa Chuen did not look Chinese.  Many were surprised by the appearance of a foreigner fisherman in the storm shelter.  Ah Chuen also wanted to know the secret behind his heritage.  He had six siblings, none of whom resembled him.  He really wanted to find out the truth but his parents were willing to reveal it.  Every time he would end up getting a beating.
