The Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Sherming Yiu Lok Yi, Mark Cheng Ho Nam
and Locker Lam Ka Hei starred new film FIGHT FOR TOMORROW (PING MING SAM
LONG) has been released. Tam Yiu Man and Yiu Lok Yi earlier appeared on
television to share the pain and joy of filming. Playing the retired
gangster, Tam Yiu Man could be said to be "fighting for his life" in the
film. He said, "The filming took place when the pandemic was almost
over. Actually everyone have experienced physical and mental exhaustion
for more than two years, so I put this emotion into the role felt that
it was a quite suitable. I myself was a little similar to the
character; I sensed the mid-life crisis, and I knew a little about fight
scenes. I would watch how (Donnie) Yen Chi Tan and Bruce Lee fought for
example, and even if I couldn't perform completely like them I hoped to
be able to achieve half of what they did." In addition to the action
scenes, Tam Yiu Man also had a number of argument scenes that was quite
memorable to him. He said, "A few scenes where I argued and fought with
Cheng Ho Nam and Yiu Lok Yi were so intense, among them more than 70% of
the dialogue was improvised on the spot. My argument scene with Yiu Lok
Yi was very memorable, because she was in good shape. The feeling was
so real when I was playing opposite her."
In addition to the scenes between two brothers who faded out
of the underworld, the movie also told the story of the two generations
of father and son Tam Yiu Man and Lam Ka Hei and the relationship with
his ex-wife Yiu Lok Yi. Yiu Lok Yi agreed that the movie examined the
relationship between the two generations, and for this reason, their
real family lives have also caused hot conversations. Ah Tam's pair
of children excelled in both school and sports. He said modestly,
"Thank to the respect from everyone, even the tuition amount has been
talked about. Truly thank you very much. Fortunately the principal
of the school is a foreigner, he probably wouldn't read it." Yiu Lok
Yi's daughter is 9. She joked that her daughter was not yet in the
stage of rebellion, but said, "She has been talking back a lot, but
dares not to slam the door and ignore people. Now she would still
sleep with me, and I still enjoy this intimate process." Yiu Lok Yi
said that she only started to rebel at a very late stage back then,
and she did not go out alone until the age of 18. She said, "Now
that society is different, it is easier to break through the
communication gaps between the two generations by getting along with
the next generation as if they are friends."
One of Hong Kong's "Four Great Talents" Chua Lam passed away Wednesday. courtesy of singtao.com
Named one of the four talents of Hong Kong, Chua Lam (Choi Lan)
passed away at the age of 83. His relatives handled the funeral in a
very low-key manner. Choi Lan's views on life and death have always
been free and easy, and his friends also thought that Choi Lan is open-
minded and pursued a taste for life. Just like the title of Choi Lan's
book "Whatever, I Decided to Live Interestingly: Chua Lam's Chic and Free
Life", he lived a chic and comfortable life.
Choi Lan's assistant Yang Ao announced on Weibo yesterday, "Our
beloved Mr. Chua Lam passed away peacefully at Hong Kong Sanatorium &
Hospital on June 25th, 2025, accompanied by family and friends. In
accordance with Mr. Chua Lam's wishes, to keep from disturbing relatives
and friends, there was no ceremony and the cremation was completed
smoothly. Thank you everyone for your concern for Mr. Chua."
Choi Lan and Jin Yong (Louis Cha), Ni Kuang (Ngai Hong),
James Wong Jim were listed as the "Four Great Talents of Hong Kong",
three of whom have passed away. Earlier Choi Lan said in an interview
with Vincent Kok Tak Chiu that his old friends have become fewer and
fewer, and revealed that he hoped to go unknowingly, "without fear and
without pain". He also said that he hoped for his ashes to be
scattered at sea after his death.
Choi Lan was an accomplished writer, filmmaker, foodie, and
presenter. Born in Singapore in 1941, Choi Lan studied film writing
and directing in Japan and then moved to Hong Kong to develop as a
production manager for Shaw Brothers Film Company, and more than 10
years later served as vice president of Golden Harvest Film Company,
where he supervised a series of Jackie Chan films.
Choi Lan began writing in the 80s of the last century. He has
published a number of works, mainly on food and travel. He has also
written columns for newspapers, but Choi Lan once said that he was not
qualified to be talented, and believed that he had no relationship with
the word "talent". From 1989 to 1990, he hosted the ATV talk program
CELEBRITY TALK SHOW with James Wong Jim and Ni Kuang (Ngai Hong), which
caused a sensation and was renewed to the fourth installment. Since
1997 Choi Lan served as the host of the TVB programs TASTE OF LIFE,
MARKET TROTTER, etc. The public deeply loved him for his unique views
on food and humorous hosting style. In 2012 he served as the general
consultant of the documentary "A Bite of China", and in 2020 he had his
personal YouTube channel Chua Lam Colorful World.
In the mid-90s Choi Lan entered the food industry, launching
a variety of food products and opening restaurants. After his death
yesterday, an article he wrote was also made public. He said that
everyone has always called him "foodie", but friends who know him well
know that he does not like this name. He was just a person who loved to
eat. In order to eat better, he went looking everywhere. With more
comparisons, he had a little experience, wrote them into articles, and
gradually got everyone's recognition. Later everyone invited him to
open food courts and restaurants, his principles were always three words
in Cantonese, "cheap, pretty, and authentic."
Upon learning of the bad news about Choi Lan, the well-known
writer Shum Sai Shing responded, "On the afternoon of June 27, the
writer Ida (Johnny Yip) wrote to my WeChat account from Zhuhai - 'It
was rumored within the Prince Cha (Chuen Tik) group that Mr. Choi
Lan passed two days ago.' I was skeptical. Later senior media
reposted the obituary, and only then did I know that the old friend
was really gone. I have known Choi Lan since the 70s of the last
century, he was handsome and mischievous. Occasionally he will play
tricks on me. One day he took me to Yueh Hua's home at Clearwater
Bay for dinner, and he actually mixed several kinds of foreign wine
together. He said that it was an aphrodisiac and told me drink it,
but I ended up vomiting and drunk. His life was devoted to eating,
drinking, and being hospitable. He never cared about money, as long
as his friends were happy. Ni Kuang said that he was the most
interesting person in the world; Jin Yong said that he was
talented, learned and well versed in a variety of subjects. The
praise of the two great talents should be true."
Shum Sai Shing pointed out that Choi Lan was admitted to the
hospital for surgery because he broke his pelvis at home a few years
ago because he saved his beloved wife. Since then his health has
deteriorated. He was open-minded by nature and hardly ever angry. He
still sent good wine and food to his mouth, left his former residence
for the hotel and hired a team to take care of him. Chic and graceful,
he treated death as homecoming. Only two days after his death, instead
of a mourning period he was cremated quietly. Gone with the wind, he
was so free and easy that no ordinary person could match.
Veteran media person Eileen Cha Siu Yan recalled her past with
Chua Lam. "On the first day I met elder Choi Lan, he asked me to call
him 'Big Brother Choi Lan' with me, and he took me to see the flowery
world a big brother would with a little sister. I had two opportunities
to work with Big Brother Choi Lan twice in film and television, but I
missed them both. When I first joined the industry as a reporter, he
invited me to make a film he was producing at Golden Harvest. However
it was not made due to schedule problems, and my role later went to
Sandy Lam Shan Shan. He, Big Brother Ni Kuang and Wong Jim invited me
to be a guest on their ATV talk show CELEBRITY TALK SHOW . Because the
invited were Brigitte Lin (Lam Ching Ha), (Cherie) Chung Chor Hung and
other great beauties and the content was relatively out of bounds, at
that time I was young and didn't dare to agree. I was afraid that I
wouldn't be able to live up to my part fully and embarrass them. Big
Brother Choi Lan said come on, we can drink together. The money for the
appearance would be HK$ 10,000, which was a very, very attractive figure
at that time."
Cha Siu Yan also said that drinking was a common hobby between
her and Choi Lan. "He taught me that 'you don't need to be accompanied
by someone to drink, and you don't need to drink with others.' I still
keep that in mind. Now when someone says me to drink with them, I would
say that you don't need company to drink. If you want to drink, let's
drink together."
"There are still a lot of memories of Big Brother Choi Lan, what
I want to say is that I was lucky to meet the famous Big Brother Choi
Lan when I first debuted. He did not mind me as a newcomer, taught me a
lot of life principles and food culture. I learned from him the
requirements for taste of living, learned to be open-minded, casual, and
reckless, just like him waving his hand and passing, without any
ceremony, without any labor, turning into a wisp of light smoke, and
starting CELEBRITY TALK SHOW in the sky with his old friend Big Brother
Ni Kuang and Uncle Jim."
Customers still visit the Golden Harvest StagE in Tuen Mun
A new operator will take over Golden Harvest Tai Po
The Olympic City the sky still has many movie goers
The future of Golden Harvest Galaxy remains unknown after its lease with the Plaza ended
Recently the cinema business has been in a slump. Golden Harvest Megabox earlier also closed its doors. courtesy of on.cc
Due to the poor economic climate, cinemas have closed one after
another. The local film industry giant that operated cinemas under its
banner for almost half a century, Golden Harvest Cinema chain's parent
company Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment issued a listed company
notice yesterday to announce that it will close all its doors tomorrow.
The group's four cinemas, namely those in Tai Kok Tsui, Tuen Mun, Shau
Kei Wan and Tai Po, will close. Golden Harvest Cinemas has closed
three cinemas earlier, and will end its Hong Kong cinema business.
Orange Sky Golden Harvest said that three of the cinema sites will be
leased by new operators, and Golden Harvest gift certificates and other
vouchers can continue to be used until September this year. Movie fans
feel a pity for the closure of Golden Harvest Cinemas, and they are
afraid that there will be fewer and fewer entertainment options in the
future. The film industry said that the closure of the cinema chain was
"expected", but said that the wave of cinema closures was likely to be
"over".
Orange Sky Golden Harvest announced that it will cease to
operate all cinema businesses in Hong Kong, including the lease of
Olympian City's sky, Tuen Mun StagE, Shau Kei Wan Golden Harvest Galaxy
Plaza and Golden Harvest Tai Po Cinema will be terminated a few days
after tomorrow. The Group claimed that the relevant leases were
completed or terminated by agreement, in other words, individual leases
were terminated early.
The Company explained that the decision was part of the Group's
strategic review of its operating and cost structure. After evaluating
the performance and sustainability of the cinema business in Hong Kong,
the decision was made to fully withdraw from the Hong Kong market,
resulting in additional non-recurring income of approximately $65
million due to the original cost provision and the modification of lease
terms.
Golden Harvest Cinemas chain announced on its social media
platforms that the four cinemas will operate until tomorrow, with the
sky, StagE and Golden Harvest Tai Po being leased by the new operators
while Golden Harvest Cinemas' gift certificates, vouchers and movie
tickets will continue to be used at these venues on or before August
31st this year. Golden Harvest GH Moviegoer members will be able to
transfer to the new operator's membership plan, and the new plan will be
announced by the new operator in due course. Golden Harvest also said
that it is very happy and honored to spend countless unforgettable movie
moments with fans in the past.
Movie goer Ms. Yip felt sorry for the closure of Golden Harvest
and believed that it was a loss of cultural and entertainment life in
the community. She mentioned that she would watch movies after work on
weekdays to relax. Recently the ticket price of the theater was
unusually cheap, only HK$ 60 per day on weekdays. The price was still
far lower than the ticket price of more than HK$ 100 when she was in
secondary school, which was a harbinger of the theater's business
difficulties and imminent closure. She worried that in the future only
a few large cinema chains may remain, which will monopolize the market
and reduce the variety of choices. Mr. Tung also felt sorry after
learning about the closure, saying that he often went to the cinema with
his family to watch movies, and was worried that the closure of the
cinema would cause one less entertainment venue in the district.
The spokesman for the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers Tin Kai
Man said that the closure of the Golden Harvest Cinema chain was
"expected". He has been pointing out that there were still cinemas
that would close, but he pointed out that the wave of cinema closures
was likely to have "ended". There was no news of other large-scale
cinema chains planning to close in the future, and only a few cinemas
might close due to the expiration of their leases.
Golden Harvest Cinemas chain has earlier introduced an "unmanned
cinema" at Golden Harvest Galaxy Plaza in Shau Kei Wan. For the ticket
purchase, ticket inspection and admission without staff present,
customers need to complete the process themselves to save costs. Tin
Kai Man believes that it is advisable for cinemas to survive in
different ways, but Golden Harvest will eventually close down because of
the commercial considerations of the operators. Conceivably they do not
want to invest resources in the field of operating cinemas.
According to the annual report of Orange Sky Golden Harvest
Entertainment, as of the end of last year the group's income from
continuing operations was only about 730 million yuan, a year-on-year
decrease of 7%; but after deducting expenses and financial expenses, the
loss before tax exceeded 158 million yuan. The group explained that due
to the 2023 Hollywood writers and actors strike, resulting in a lack of
blockbuster films and shortened release schedules, the box office,
admission rate and final revenue will drop sharply.
The Group also said that Hong Kong's disappointing post-pandemic
economic performance, the migration of young people, and the change in
consumption habits in the post-pandemic era, with people spending more
abroad than locally, have made the cinema industry even worse. Coupled
with the continued impact of global headwinds on the macro economy,
consumers are generally reluctant to spend, resulting in a decrease in
attendance from 2.1 million in 2023 to 2 million last year, and box
office receipts also decreased by 15% to $121.7 million last year. In
order to attract customers back to the cinema, the average ticket price
also dropped to $61. Despite the short-term rental support provided by
landlords during the year, the Group's Hong Kong operations continued to
record a revenue loss of $19.5 million due to high rents.
The closing of the entire Golden Harvest cinema chain was not
unexpected. Over the past year or so a number of its cinemas have
ceased operation or closed down one after another, including Golden
Harvest Kai Tak, Golden Harvest V WALK, Golden Harvest Whampoa, Grand
Ocean Cinema and Golden Harvest Megabox. This year the cinema business
has been in a stump, as more than 10 cinemas have bid farewell to their
fans including Sun Beam Cinema in North Point, MCL Kornhill Cinema in
Tai Koo and Newport Cinema in Mong Kok. After the Whampoa Cinema closed
for business, Lee Kui Ming took it over and it would soon become Sun
Beam Whampoa; Cine Art Cinemas would take over the Hollywood and Megabox
Cinemas in Diamond Hill and they are under renovation.
Golden Harvest Cinemas' parent company, Orange Sky Golden
Harvest, will terminate all cinema operations in Hong Kong, marking the
farewell of the half-century-old film and related business in Hong Kong
to the local cinema market. Looking back at the company's recent
action, hints of its retreat from the mainland and Hong Kong cinema
market could be traced. In 2017 Orange Sky Golden Harvest sold its
mainland business to other cinema chains, and in February this year it
also suspended the operation of its flagship Golden Harvest Cinema in
Shenzhen. This time it withdrew from the Hong Kong cinema market again,
that is, it faded out of the relevant business in both the mainland and
the local market.
Orange Sky Golden Harvest was formerly Golden Harvest.
Founded in 1970 by Raymond Chow Man Wai, Leonard Ho Koon Cheung
and Leung Fung, Golden Harvest Entertainment founded in 1972 the
Panasia Films Ltd. that engaged in film procurement, distribution,
video distribution, publicity and promotion, cinema screen and other
one-stop film business. In 1977 Golden Harvest opened its first
cinema in Hong Kong and officially entered the cinema business.
Between 1985 and 1990 the Group produced an average of 25 to 30
films per year, making it the world's largest Chinese-language film
studio with a distribution network and cinema network all over the
world. Golden Harvest Entertainment (Holdings) Limited was listed
on November 23rd, 1994. In 2007 Wu Kebo became a major shareholder
through Orange Sky Entertainment Group, and in 2009 it was renamed
to Orange Sky Golden Harvest.
In 2005 the Group opened its first flagship cinema in Shenzhen
and as of the end of December 2015, the Group operated 97 cinemas with a
total of 716 screens. The group was the first to enter Hollywood,
producing English-language films that once sparked Western interest in
Hong Kong-made martial arts films. In recent years as the overall
performance of Hong Kong's film industry has shrunk, the group has
gradually adjusted its business and announced yesterday that it will end
its cinema business in Hong Kong.

Running into the Hong Kong film market in a cold winter, Fish Liew worries about the lack of work
Malaysian director Chong Keat Aun learns that Fish Liew wants to return home to make a movie so he takes the initiative to make contact. They click right away.
Fish Liew says that the hardest part of making PAVANE FOR AN INFANT is speaking Cantonese with a Malaysian accent. Because working in Hong Kong has made her Cantonese fluent, she has already forgotten the tone of how Malaysians speak Cantonese courtesy of singtao.com
Fish Liew Chi Yu came from Malaysia to work in Hong Kong for 12
years, and won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actress with
ANITA (MUI YIM FONG). Her acting skills have been affirmed, and she
should be able to show her strengths. However she helplessly ran into
the Hong Kong film cold winter period, as an actor she too was worried
that she would not have a job in the future. She screamed, "Why me?
Why entering the cold winter period when I am at my most 'hit'!" Liew
Chi Yu's current mood was the same as the role of "Lai Sum" in the movie
PAVANE FOR AN INFANT, as both felt that they had a long way forward.
She admitted that if she lost her career as an actor, she would be
forced to change careers in order to make a living. She has already
planned to improve herself and develop another way out.
Liew Chi Yu came to Hong Kong from Malaysia in 2012 for work.
She returned home last year to star in the Malaysian director Chong Keat
Aun directed PAVANE FOR AN INFANT (YIU LAM FAN SAI). Chong Keat Aun
said that Liew Chi Yu after winning an award with ANITA (MUI YIM FONG)
revealed in interviews that she would like the opportunity to return to
Malaysia to make movies. So he contacted her and they clicked right
away. After having the core character of Liew Chi Yu, he invited Ben
Yuen Fu Wah and Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yi) to participate. "I have
watched many works of Fish (Liew Chi Yu), and the most impressive was
A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG). The eyes were so dramatic and
delicate. This time working with her, I found that she asked about
everything. I don't mind at all though, it is a good thing for actors
to take the initiative."
PAVANE FOR AN INFANT tells the story of the Liew Chi Yu played
"Lai Sum", a long-term employee of an "abandoned baby pod" in Kuala
Lumpur. Against the voices of opposition, she worked together to
accompany women of all ethnicities to face the dilemma of bodily
autonomy. Liew Chi Yu explained that that she wanted to ask about the
PAVANE FOR AN INFANT's story and the character Lai Sum's thinking
clearly. After all she has been in Hong Kong for 12 years, most of the
movies she performed in were commercial films. The pace has been
relatively fast, and she was worried about not adapting to the local
rhythm. In addition with few dialogues she had to rely on her eyes and
body movements to express herself, so she was so nervous. As the
saying goes people gets timid when they are close to home, she wanted to
perform a little better so her family could be proud of her. "People
who know Liew Chi Yu know that I am anxious and timid. When I hear the
staff yelled 'Let's welcome......' Before my name was mentioned, I have
already taken off. Eating and touching up makeup were also very fast,
I could not quit the habit of being anxious. It could be both good and
bad. When it was good then I seriously have to make it its best. When
it was not I didn't want to think too much. Now I have already
tried to strike a balance between the two."
Chong Keat Aun recealed that Liew Chi Yu's pace outside the film
was also very fast, and he often reminded her "don't be so fast" during
filming. Liew Chi Yu felt that the most difficult part of PAVANT FOR AN
INFANT was to speak Cantonese with a Malaysian accent because she rarely
spoke it when she was a child, but after coming to Hong Kong for work
she practiced fluent Cantonese and forgot the tone of Cantonese spoken
by Malaysians.
Already made a name for herself, Liew Chi Yu said that although
film production has been difficult, she has enjoyed that actor life very
much and felt very lucky. Since winning the Best Supporting Actress at
the Hong Kong Film Awards, film offers have continued. Before filming
PAVANE FOR AN INFANT, she made two sets of ViuTV dramas MARGARET AND
DAVID TIE and CICADA CYCLE. She was very happy to be able to devote
herself to playing the role of Lai Sum, forgetting Liew Chi Yu's own
problems. "There are many problems that I needed to be solve. Filming
allows me to escape reality for a while, but I have learned from "Lam
Sum" to face different difficulties. No matter how big things happen, I
can't see the future. Life still has to go on, it will always pass.
Knowing how she lived her life, I may be able to take less wrong turns."
Liew Chi Yu felt that Lai Sum resonated with her, as they both
felt that the road ahead was boundless. Because Hong Kong films have
entered a cold winter period, she was worried that she would be unable
to work as an actor. "Affected by the global situation and economy,
everyone is living in an era with a long road ahead. I have a feeling
of why me, and why I was at my most 'hit' period, the film industry
actually entered the cold winter period? Maybe if I was born 20 years
earlier, the environment would be different and I would be able to show
my strength; but I don't get to say that. I am thinking about whether
I only have acting in my life? What can I do if I lose my job one day?
I should find more things that I love to further my education. I love
movies, I may try to do behind-the-scenes work, or learn to cook." She
lamented that the development of technology has caused modern people to
fall into the trap of technology. "Everyone will have a short period of
happiness when they wake up and look at the phone, but how would they
deal with themselves without the communication between people?"
Locker Lam and Patrick Tam click right away in their new film. They also reveal that their owns childhood mischiefs courtesy of singtao.com
Patrick Tam Yiu Man and Locker Lam Ka Hei played father and son
in the new film FIGHT FOR TOMORROW (PING MING SAM LONG), in which they
had many action scenes. Every punch landed in the fight scene between
Tam Yiu Man nd Mark Cheng Ho Nam. He joked that the action scene did
not stump him, but bluntly said that it would be more difficult
physically; Lam Ka Hei was ordered to replace Ian Chan Cheuk Yin,
who resigned from the film, 3 weeks before the start of filming. He
said that he was not afraid of being compared, and he was very happy
to have the opportunity to perform. For the Muay Thai scene in the
film, he quickly achieved tip top shape within 3 weeks.
The new film FIGHT FOR TOMORROW (PING MING SAM LONG) told the
story of Shek Sam Long, a mob boss who was no longer in the limelight.
After meeting the son he has not seen him for many years, he
unexpectedly made a comeback and the son was also inspired by his father
to focus on Muay Thai. It was a story of two generations' FIGHT FOR
TOMORROW against the tide during hard times. Director Chan Tai Lee
once said that Tam Yiu Man was the best choice to play Shek Sam Long.
Tam Yiu Man was grateful for the director's appreciation, and said that
he has always looked forward to encountering a script based on the
characters. He had only praises for his son Lam Ka Hei in the film,
especially when he only had 3 weeks to prepare for the role.
Lam Ka Hei frankly said that he fit the role of a boxer
physically. At the time he worked out and controlled his diet right
away. Speaking of him as the last minute replacement for Ian Chan Cheuk
Yin who resigned from the role, was he afraid of comparison now that the
movie was released? Lam Ka Hei smiled and said, "At that time probably
no one would remember, being a last minute replacement is exciting. I
didn't think too much about it at that time. instead of thinking about
superfluous things, I was better off training in boxing Some say it's a
good thing, but it doesn't matter if no one talks about it. It's not
the point!" Tam Yiu Man said that he has been the so-called "second
choice" and felt that since fate has come to him, he had to grasp it
well. He praised Lin Jiaxi for doing a very good job.
Speaking of the father-son relationship in the film, both of
them said that their fathers belong to the "silence is golden" type;
usually they are very cool, but when they lose their temper they are
very shocking. Lam Ka Hei revealed that Papa once was so mad that he
threw out his computer and bicycle to the street. "When I was in
elementary school, I didn't go home after midnight, and I have skipped
school." Tam Yiu Man revealed that he too has skipped school. He knew
that he was in trouble and did not go home until 10 o'clock, but who
knew that his father had not been asleep yet. He yelled at him so hard
that he lost all dignity, so he went to sleep at the park for a few
hours. Finally he gave in and returned to home. However he joked that
his son was not like him, so well-behaved, smart and self-disciplined.

Gritty, pulse-pounding, Chan Tai-Lee's action-drama opus hurls us
in a fall-and-rise-again gangster tale that boasts both bone-crunching
action and gut-wrenching emotion: Shi Xiu, once a gang leader of
mythic proportions known as the "Desperate Third Son" for his almost
suicidal loyalty and willingness to risk everything in the name of the
jiang hu code, finds himself reduced to a humble working-class worker,
struggling to reconnect with his estranged son and atone for a life of
crime. Shi's legend was forged through acts of brazen daring, like his
infiltration of an enemy stronghold to rescue the wrongly imprisoned
Lu Jun-yi from certain execution. Patrick Tam, in a performance of
searing intensity, breathes life into a character confronted with the
ghosts of his outlaw past, and clinging to hope for rebuilding his
fractured life and finding new purpose. Chan, the acclaimed writer
of the "Ip Man" franchise, infuses the film with a sense of hard-
bitten optimism, suggesting that even in the darkest of times, an
indomitable spirit can light the path to a better tomorrow.

A pastor struggles with sin and punishment in this intense drama.
A boy who killed his daughter is released from prison. Torn between
vengeance and God's forgiveness...
[ 49th HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ]
'Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.' Pastor Leung, who
preaches God's forgiveness, finds himself in a dire situation when his
church gives shelter to a young man who caused the death of his
beloved daughter. Torn between his wish to avenge his daughter, his
wife's anger and his principles as a pastor, he struggles to submit to
God or the Devil when an opportunity of retribution presents itself.
Impressive as ever, Anthony Wong acutely leads the story with a
restrained yet intense performance, stretching the questions of faith,
hope, and humanity to their extremes.

Patrick Tam takes the initiatives to meet, communicate and build chemistry with Locker Lam before the film production began, for the first time in his career
Patrick Tam and Locker Lam play father and son in the film, risking their lives and going against the tides to elevate themselves.
Director Chan Tai Lee laments that the box office was beyond his control, he could only post more to call the public to support the film courtesy of mingpao.com
The Chan Tai Lee directed, Patrick Tam Yiu Man (Ah Tam), Locker
Lam Ka Hei, Ying Chi Yuet (Little Cat) and Mark Cheng Ho Nam starred
movie FIGHT FOR TOMORROW (PING MING SAM LONG) received a total of about
HK$ 360,000 over two days of release (as of the 22nd), and its box
office was in trouble. Ah Tam also kept thanking the audience. Seeing
the audience praising his wonderful performance, he could not help but
cry when he sang the theme song of the movie on stage. Everyone
contributed to the movie on their own to fight film's cold winter
period.
Ah Tam and Locker played father and son who swim against the
tide and fight for their ideals during the novel coronavirus pandemic
in FIGHT FOR TOMORROW; the reality was the same as the two admitted that
their acting careers have been bumpy. Locker has thought about giving
up because he has had few performance opportunities and unable to
support his parents. He planned to go on a working holiday to find
another way out. Ah Tam had a mid-life crisis after stepping into his
50s, as he could no longer play the young role, and his turn has not yet
arrived for the old ones. However he has not considered giving up, and
he understood that letting go would lead to an opportunity for a
turnaround.
Ah Tam and Locker worked together for the first time. In
order to establish chemistry they met many times in advance to get to
know each other. They joked that they rarely talked when they met in
order to devote themselves to their roles. Ah Tam said that this was
the first time in his film career when he met and communicated with the
co-star before the start of filming. Because the film told the story of
the two generations desperately going against the current in the days of
ever-changing pandemic, and it also involved the relationship between
father and son, basically they had to support each other and the roles
were equally important. "In addition to talking about movies, we also
share things other than movies, such as music preferences. Locker also
talked about how to operate an online channel and increase popularity
through social platforms, which opened my eyes."
The movie release ran in the cold winter of the film industry,
when theaters have closed one after another; the audience's intention
to enter has declined, affecting the box office results. Ah Tam thought
that worrying would be in vain, and the only way was to attend audience
appreciation events and promote hard.
Both of them were desperate in the play, fighting for their
ideals. In real life they are also working hard for their careers, but
the 56-year-old Ah Tam recalled that he encountered a bottleneck in the
early days of "enlistment". "I couldn't play the young role and the
old role has not yet come to me, which was a bit consistent with my
character Shek Sam Long in the film. Mid-life crisis has appeared, but
I am not as obsessed with the past as the character. I can absolutely
let go, I wouldn't be drowning in the past. However adapting takes
time, fortunately adjustment only took two years. At this time I just
happened to run into FIGHT. It turns out that I can master the role of
a father. I am very happy to be praised, which proves that years of
hard work have not been in vain".
Locker entered the industry in 2016 with WEEDS ON FIRE (DIM NG
BO), felt that the results were not as expected. He also thought about
giving up at a low point. Only when he ran into FIGHT FOR TOMORROW did
he land in the lead. "The past 10 years has had its ups and downs.
I wanted to try different genres and roles at the beginning of my career,
hoping to be seen but the results have been different from what I
expected. My show business career has been iffy, without too many
opportunities to perform. When I got into the business I promised my
family that I would be able to not only take care of myself during the
period but also cover family expenses. Just when I wanted to take a
break from the entertainment industry and plan to go on a working
holiday to think about my future, someone asked me to make an online
video. The exaggerated performance attracted the director, which made
me regain the opportunity to make movies. I felt that I was useful,
working on the actor job like and be able to make a living."
Locker said that he liked acting, but felt that he was born at
the wrong time. The opportunities have indeed decreased during the cold
winter of the film industry, but he understood that many things were
predestined. He could only find other performances. "I have been lucky
in the past few years. I have had the opportunity to perform in stage
plays and have been appreciated. This year I have again participated in
stage plays, and the most important thing is to get to work. As I wait
for the opportunity I discover other interests, so I form a soccer team
with (Carlos) Chan Ka Lok and others. Although it is amateur in nature,
but we train with a coach every week and will sign up for competitions
to prevent myself from becoming decadent and negative."

The famous martial arts instructor and veteran artist Suet Nei's husband,
Tang Chia (Tong Kai, originally named Wong Tong) fell to his death
yesterday afternoon at the junction of Austin Road and Pine Hill
Road in Tsim Sha Tsui at the age of 88. No suicide note was found at
the scene, and the cause of death was pending an autopsy. Reportedly
Tong Kai and lived in a unit in Jordan with his wife Suet Nei and their
son. Suet Nei has recently been hospitalized with pancreatic cancer,
and Tong Kai was suspected of being unhappy because of his wife's illness.
Around 5pm today, the police received a report that a man had
fallen to his death from above at the junction of Austin Road and Pine
Hill Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. According to the preliminary investigation
by the police, the 88-year-old deceased male surnamed Wong fell from the
roof of a building at the above address and died on the spot. The
police did not find any suicide note at the scene, and the cause of
death was pending an autopsy. Reportedly Suet Nei recently needed to be
hospitalized due to pancreatic cancer, and Tong Kai was suspected of
being unhappy because of his wife's illness.
The media contacted Chin Kar Lok about Tong Kai's death, and Kar
Lok replied that he did not know the reason for Tong Kai's suicide.
Everything would be better left for Tong Kai's family to announce, and
the Stuntmen Association would try to get an understanding as soon as
possible. If any help would be needed, the association would definitely
help. Bowie Wu Fung was surprised to hear about Tong Kai, and instead
asked the reporter what happened. He said, "We have been friends for
decades, but we have not contacted each other much in recent years. Why
would this happen?" Anita Tam Shuk Ying has been in contact with Suet
Nei from time to time. She said that before the New Year she also had
tea with Tong Kai and Suet Nei. Brother Kai has been sick in recent
years but was very positive. He said that he had to watch what he ate
and did not eat much at tea last time.
The 88-year-old Tong Kai was formerly known as Wong Tong. He
was Chang Cheh's official martial arts director in the 1960s, directed
the movies SHAOLIN PRINCE (SIU LUM CHUEN YUN), SHAOLIN INTRUDERS (SAM
CHONG SIU LUM) and LIGHTNING FISTS OF SHAOLIN (HUNG KUEN DAI SI) in the
1980s and later joined TVB as a martial arts director. He was a
disciple of Yuen Woo Ping's father Yuen Siu Ping, while working on
THE DARK HEROINE MU LANHUA he met his wife Suet Nei. Tong Kai's wife
Suet Nei was a popular star in the Cantonese film era. The two had two
sons. They once eased out of the entertainment industry and moved to
Canada, but later returned to Hong Kong. Tong Kai and Suet Nei had a
deep love. Married for more than half a century, they were a model
couple in the circle. When Suet Nei later came back to work on TV
series, Tong Kai was the "tag-along husband" as he accompanied her in
and out of the set. Because Suet Nei found that a genetic disease has
affected her ears in the 80s, she was completely deaf in one ear and
needed to wear hearing aids. Tong Kai was worried about the
inconveniences his wife would face alone outside, hence he constantly
stood guard and served as his wife's personal hearing aid. Whenever
Tong Kai went to the set with his wife, he would prepare soup lovingly
every time. They were inseparable as he accompanied her to work and
took good care of her. Suet Nei once said in an interview that her
personality was sassy, fortunately she had a significant other who
spoiled her. Her husband would always give in during arguments, for
which she was grateful inside. Suet Nei announced her official
retirement in 2020 due to poor health.
Around 9 AM on the 24th, Tong Kai's song and three female
friends and family members arrived at the Kwai Chung public mortuary for
the body identification process. They solemnly left after a hour. His
son did not comment when asked about his father's passing, as he turned
around and left in a vehicle.
Reportedly Suet Nei has recently suffered from pancreatic cancer
and needs to be hospitalized long term for treatment. Earlier, Tong Kai
had revealed to his son that he was unhappy and hoped to die with his
wife Suet Nei. Allegedly before the incident he was preparing to sign a
will, and there was a relevant document left in his residence. The
preliminarily belief was that he had committed suicide due to the
emotional impact of his wife's serious illness. In August last year the
couple appeared together in public. They met friends at that time and
behaved as usual.
One of the works he was the most proud of was the design of a
blade that could rotate 360 degrees for the actor Ti Lung in THE MAGIC
BLADE (TIN NGAI. MING YUET. DOH) to match his title of "the fastest
blade in the world" in the film. Ti Lung was shocked by the death of
his former colleague. "What a shock, so painful! He and I were
colleagues and neighbors when I was younger......He took good care of
me when he was working, and he was a very responsible person. Whether
it was family, career, or friends he did everything to its
fullest......I can only say that the flowers may bloom again one day,
but people won't see each other again. Have a safe journey."
Tong Kai's disciple John Chiang Dai Wai posted photos with Tong
Kai, Lau Kar Leung and Chang Chen. "My three most important masters in
this lifetime have already passed on without me." Chiang Dai Wai joined
Shaw's in 1966 and became a member of Tong Kai's stunt team. Because of
the martial art action in GOLDEN SWALLOW (GUM YIN JI) he caught the
eyes of big time director Chang Cheh, who made him the lead in THE
WANDERING SWORDSMAN (YAU HUP YI).
Recently many young actors have caught attention, both neither Renci Yeung nor Raymond Wong feel threatened by them courtesy of singtao.com
Raymond Wong Ho Yin and Renci Yeung Sze Wing collaborated on the
new film BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM), the story of which began
with a bizarre extramarital affair mystery case that unexpectedly
involved a horrific serial murder. Wong Ho Yin revealed that he mainly
engaged in cultivating the mood in the film and had a lot of scenes
with Louis Koo Tin Lok, "The plot had me kiss him and also ordered to take
jabs at him. In reality it would be very hard to be able to do those to
Boss Koo. I sometimes improvised, the director (Jonathan) Li Tsz Chun
said that the improvisation did not need to inform Boss Koo in advance.
We wanted to start a revolution, and we were not afraid that Boss Koo
would not be able to take it."
Yeung Sze Wing played a woman who let herself go and played with
her feelings. She was the happiest about being able to play opposite
Taiwanese actor Liu Kuan Ting because she has always admired his works.
She was very excited to work with him, and pointed out that both of them
love to eat durian. They would go to eat durian after filming in
Malaysia, and begin a durian friendship. However the two did not
play a couple in the film, and Yeung Sze Wing even suffered abuse at the
hands of Liu Kuan Ting. "I was very happy and willing to suffer his
abuse! In one scene I had to look frightened in front of him, but the
director yelled cut a few times, saying that there was too much love in
my eyes and I needed to put it away. I was tied up like a spring roll
and rolled around, but I was very happy!"
Recently many young actors have attracted much attention, would
they feel threatened? Yeung Sze Wing joked out that just like red wine
they had to talk about the year, while Wong Ho Yin pointed out that what
he has done, young people might not be able to do it. He would not be
afraid.

Juno Mak Chun Lung was originally scheduled to hold two "The
Album: In the Name of a Father" concerts at the HKCEC in December last
year. Due to his bronchitis, they were postponed to take place at
AsiaWorld-Expo the night before. The new generation of singers such as
MIRROR member Anson Kong (AK), COLLAR member Marf Yau Yin Tung and
Wilson Ng Lam Fung were invited as guests, as well as Yan Ng Yat
Yan who has already moved to the UK. She and Mak Chun Lung sang
RASHOMON in the surprise finale. When Mak Chun Lung sang the last
song "I'll Be Waiting in Chernobyl", he said teary eyed, "There's
a time for gathering and parting." The film he directed SONS OF
THE NEON NIGHTS (FUNG LUM FOR SHAN) premiered at the Cannes Film
Festival earlier and had mixed reviews. He believed that the
film only had one foreign premiere so far, so it was too early
to say anything. He believed that each film has its own life,
and his responsibility was to do a good job in post-production.
The Hong Kong release date would wait for the distributor
to make arrangements.
The Mak Chun Lung's film SONS OF THE NEON NIGHTS premiered at
the Cannes Film Festival earlier and received mixed reviews, with some
criticizing the complex and incoherent storyline to others praising the
outstanding visuals. His confidence in the film has not been dampened,
saying that as a filmmaker hearing two different voices was not
surprising at all. The film has only made one out-of-town premiere so
far, and everything was still early to say. Some pointed out that the
film was too long, after editing and condensing the audience felt the
film was incoherent and they were unable to understand it. Mak Chun
Lung explained, "All the details, secrets and easter eggs are hidden in
the film. This movie's storytelling is different from other films. You
will have to ask distributors when it will be released in Hong Kong. I
believe that every film has its own destiny, and my responsibility is to
do the best work in the post-production. When the film is released it
is the birth of a life, and I will accompany it."
Anthony Wong and Louisa So joke that they are retired and not concerned about the film industry cold winter's influence
Anthony Wong continues to lead the VALLEY IN THE SHADOW OF DEATH team to thank the audience at cinemas courtesy of mingpao.com
Anthony Wong Chau Sun yesterday joined Louisa So Yuk Wah, P1X3L
members George Au Chun Ho, Summer Chan Chi Huen, directors Jeffrey Lam
Sen and Antonio Tam Sin Yeung at the theater to thank the audience for
VALLEY IN THE SHADOW OF DEATH (BUT SEH JI JUI). Having been thanking
the audience for several days in a row, Wong Chau Sun said that he was
a little tired; but seeing that the audience liked the film and caused
a heated discussion on the Internet, he felt that the hard work was
worth it. He said, "If you can't forget the film, there would
definitely be an echo. It is very rare, so I try to coordinate with
the publicity work."
So Yuk Wah rarely thanked the audiences in the past, but this
time she was happy to because it was not inevitable that the audience
was willing to spend money to buy tickets to go to the theater. They
wanted to thank the audience with action, and tell the audience "Your
support, we have received all of it!" For the box office of more than
HK$ 3 million, Wong Chau Sun was not satisfied and looked forward to 10
million. Speaking of the phenomenon that only the audience appreciation
screenings would be sold out, Wong Chau Sun said, "I wouldn't look at
this matter from the perspective that I have always had. Whether now it
has become a part of the job or passion, I have put aside my personal
opinion. Of course I have my own views, but they don't really matter.
The whole thing is a change in the market, the world and values. I saw
that the team was very attentive this time, so I should be involved."
Regarding the cold winter period the Hong Kong film industry is
in, Wong Chau Sun joked, "Buy a better down jacket to survive the cold
winter. (Are you worried?) I don't get to worry, just face it with a
normal heart. Do a good job when you have one, and don't analyze why it
has become like this." So Yuk Wah was optimistic about facing the cold
winter, believing that everything had a cycle. "Put all things to death
and come back to life. Everyone can only do their best now, fighting
shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand". Were they not worried about the
workload? They joked that they were retirees. ong Cahu Sun described
filmmaking as a hobby class, painting was his main job as he planned to
open an art exhibition. He said, "I regained my interest in painting
earlier, and I think I am a decent painter. I am a Fauvist, I have
painted 7 paintings and I plan to open a solo exhibition when I have 30
paintings." So Yuk Wah said that she has been working for many years,
and now she should pay more attention to herself, let herself be free.
In he process of planting and chatting with the turtle at home, she has
learn how to live slowly from being anxious before. Instead she would
see and hear even more.
If Stephen Chow and Jay Chou truly collaborate, it should certainly be talked about courtesy of on.cc
Film star Stephen Chow Sing Chi's new work WOMEN SOCCER has been
rumored to have completed its production earlier this month, but actually a
production wrap was confirmed as the team specifically moved to Hong Kong
to start production a few days ago. The team was rumored to be in
negotiation with Hong Kong's Kai Tak Sports Park, hoping to add the
location to the film in special effects and giving the movie more
Hong Kong characteristics! This time the "guests stars" were numerous,
as Taiwan's heavenly king Jay Chou also had a great opportunity to work
with Chow Sing Chi.
Chow Sing Chi announced the launch of the filming plan of WOMEN
SOCCER on his birthday on June 22, 2023. Two years later today happened
to be his birthday, and he has already reached the post-production of the
film; earlier WOMEN was rumored to have wrapped up production at
the beginning of the month, but the truth was that a few days ago he
secretly brought a team to Hong Kong for the production wrap.
Reportedly Chow Sing Chi came to Hong Kong for location shoot because he
had a soft spot for King Yin Lei in Mid-Levels East, Hong Kong Island;
Declared a monument in 2008, King Yin Lei is a unique blend of Chinese
and Western architectural styles.
Because the film crew only had 1 day of filming time, Chow Sing
Chi and the team arrived at the location early in the morning. In terms
of actors, although actress Sisley Choi Si Bui was a Hong Kong
representative, she did not show up that day because her role has been
completed in Shenzhen. In addition to the interior scenes, the crew
also sent out photography drones to shoot the exterior of the monuments;
but due to the unstable weather that day, it often rained heavily. As
they once decided to concede, the sky opened up as the team took
advantage of the rain stoppage for the aerial shoot. In addition to
King Yin Lei, some said that Chow Sing Chi also intended to use special
effect methods to add scenes of the new Hong Kong landmark of the Kai
Tak Sports Park into the film. They have been working hard to negotiate,
and if it would happens the film would be the first film with
a scene of Kai Tak Sports Park.
In addition to mainland movie stars Lay Zhang Yixing, Dilraba and
Zhang Xiaofei, quite a lot of "stars" would also be "guest stars".
They included Best Actors and Actresses, the number of "guest stars"
should be the most among Chow Sing Chi's movies over the years.
However, in order to avoid spoiling the surprise due to leaks, Chow Sing
Chi has issued a gag order during filming in Shenzhen. The staff were
not allowed to reveal anything, and photography was strictly forbidden on
the set. Unfortunately something was overlooked as his social
platform unknowingly left "Chow Sing Chi secret code". Reportedly
during the preparation of the film when he met with the actors he worked
with, he would make interesting short films to share; in turn the "guest
stars" were left in the open! Among them Korean star Song Kang-Ho, former
"national football" player Zhao Lina, Xu Jiao, etc. have all been
confirmed. Also "appearing" on social platforms, Louis Cheung Kai Chung,
Lam Tsz Chung were also among them. Big names of course would include
the Taiwanese music king Jay Chou. Before Chow Sing Chi announced the
film, he has already had a heart to heart chat over wine with him. At the
time many online coaxed the two to collaborate, Chow
Sing Chi also made it clear that he had this idea. As he was preparing
to start filming at that time, so the chance of the "Double Chow"
combination was quite high! In addition, Taiwanese artist Vaness Wu (Ng
Kin Ho) and Singaporean heveanly king JJ Lin have all visited Chow's
office to meet with him, and they have all become "guest stars"
suspects.
Playing the role of "Big Brother" in Stephen Chow Sing Chi's
film SHAOLIN SOCCER, Wong Yat Fei became a classic character in Hong
Kong films with his "Iron Head Skill" and singing with Chow Sing Chi
in the film. He won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Hong Kong
Film Awards. Unfortunately the two had a discord because of the
"bottle busting scene" in the film, and Wong Yat Fei once made it
clear that they would not work together again. Recently a photo of
Wong Yat Fei and Chow Sing Chi on the set has been leaked on the
Internet, as many online have shouted "Big Brother is back!" and
thought it was a cameo in a new film. However it was confirmed that
Wong Yat Fei, who was living in the mainland, was visiting the set
in Shenzhen. Although there was no performance, the two were
talking happily and the grievances has already evaporated!
Louis Koo gets into the mood and makes the seniors very happy

Louis Koo leads Raymond Lam, Philip Ng and the TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN team to receive the "Outstanding Leadership" award in the sports/cultures/performing arts category from the financial secretary Paul Chan courtesy of singtao.com
MothBest Actor Louis Koo Tin Lok led members of the Performing
Artists Guild to visit the senior center the day before yesterday.
Always Mr. Cool, he turned into "Mr. Joy" and made many seniors smile.
At the end of the event, he even "let loose" and surprisingly sang a
song, which pushed the atmosphere to a boiling point!
The President of the Hong Kong Performing Artists Guild,
Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai), together with Catherine Chau Ka Yee, Louis
Cheung Kai Chung and Tin Kai Man, visited the senior center the day
before yesterday, played games and distributed gifts to 80 elderly
friends. Goo Jai was very involved in the whole process, squatting
down many times to talk to the elderly sitting on the chairs. A
grandma was very happy to see him, holding his hand and saying, "I
have watched your TV series THE RETURN OF CONDOR HEROES, you are so
handsome!" Goo Jai replied with a smile, "Thank you, granny, I wish
you good health!"
The Guild vice president Candy Yu On On, and the Guild
secretary-general Cheung Kai Chung in order to made the elderly smile
tried to get everyone in the mood. Always a profound "impersonator"
Cheung Kai Chung imitated the popular dance movements of the elderly
when they were young, making everyone grin from ear to ear. When
playing the "Big TV" charade game, Goo Jai and Tin Kai Man made gestures
for the elderly to answer and the atmosphere was enthusiastic.
During the event, Cheung Kai Chung and Yu On On sang on stage,
and at the end, Goo Jai, who did not planned to perform, surprisingly
opened his mouth with the coaxing from the audience and sang FRIENDS
with everyone. Everyone had a lot of fun. With all the gifts the
elderly friends went home with a full load.
In addition, the Goo Jai and Chrissie Chau Sau Na starred movie
BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM) was released in the mainland on the
21st, and its box office collected 72 million yuan (about HK$78.7 million).
Although the performance was average the word of mouth was decent. They
played a couple who was full of differences and distrust in a very
convincing performance. Goo Jai talked about the concept of love in an
interview, saying that if he would have a wife, he would be willing to
drop everything for her. No one could imagine that with his tough image
he also had a tender side.
The Sing Tao New Group Limited organized "2024 Leaders of the
Year Awards" presentation ceremony was held last night (20th) to present
the "Outstanding Leaders" awards to the elites of the community in five
different categories. The film TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN (GAU LUNG
SING JAI JI WAI SING) team won the award in the category "Sports/Culture/
Performing Arts", with the leading actors Louis Koo Tin Lok, Raymond Lam Fung
and Philip Ng Wan Lung in attendance to accept the commendation. Goo Jai said
that a Hong Kong film team after receiving the honor years after INFERNAL

This year's "2024 Leaders of the Year Awards" are divided into 5

to accept the award together. Also present were wealthy businessman Joseph
Lau Luen Hung's wife Lau Chan Hoi Wan (Kimbee).
Lin Feng He Chengcheng has been a father three times
Goo Jai and Lam Fung said in an interview that they were happy
to win the award. Goo Jai saying that a film team last won this award
was more than 20 years ago with INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH), which
proved that the film TWILIGHT was influential, and even held a film-
themed exhibition. Lam Fung hoped that everyone would continue to
support the sequels of the film. Speaking of what made an outstanding
leader, Goo Jai believed that a leader should be calm, analytic and
strategic, and even joked, "I am describing myself!"
Lam Fung also praised Goo Jai for being outstanding in all aspects,
supporting Hong Kong films, giving opportunities to those in front of and
behind the cameras. He hoped to do his part to make even more good movies
as an actor. Regarding his onscreen "father" Aaron Kwok Fu Sing becoming
a father for the third time, Lam Fung was happy for Sing Sing, praising
him for being sharp. He also pointed out that he would work hard. As for
the plan to have another baby, he laughed and joked that it would be up to
fate.
Ng Wan Lung was very happy that TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED
IN won awards one after another. He praised Goo Jai for leading everyone,
saying that it was not the first time they worked with each other. He
felt that Koo Tin Lok knew what he wanted, and the most important thing
was communication. Ng Wan Lung was the happiest to participate in film
festivals around the world for TWILIGHT, experience various local
cultures, let people know about Hong Kong action films, and hope that
more investors would be interested in investing in film. When asked about
publicizing his relationship earlier, Ng Wan Lung said with a smile that
he and his girlfriend no longer needed to look around anymore when they
went out on the streets, and frankly said that he did not want his
girlfriend to feel any pressure. The two are more comfortable after
publicizing their relationship.
The master of ceremonies of the "2024 Leader of the Year" award
ceremony for many years, Rabee'a Yeung Lok Ting felt that the event was
very meaningful. When asked about the outstanding leader candidate in
her mind, she smiled and said that of course it was herself at home. "I
feel that I am the CEO at home, and I hope to tell my husband this!
Because I handle the affairs of the house and the children by myself, I
feel that I have done a great job as an outstanding leader!" She
revealed that husband and wife would share the responsibility of taking
care of their children. She is responsible for education, and her
husband Tim Wong Tin Ngo is responsible for children's play. She also
frankly admitted that she is strict with her children from an early age,
but her husband usually works until late at night. When he comes home,
their daughter is already asleep. However her husband would spend his
holidays with children without exception. She also said that originally
her husband planned to spend time on a holiday with just the two of them
after his concerts, but in the end he had to keep recording. However
she really appreciated her husband's determination at work.
