Anthony Wong Chau Sun yesterday attended a kitchen product event. When asked about ATV applying for a television license renewal, Chau Sau said as a viewer, he would see if ATV after the renewal would have any program to enjoy. "Why do people say TVB is a monopoly, but no one says ATV has no viewer?" He felt that ATV should be forced to take in HKTV's 300 laid off employees. Speaking of ATV's lack of production, Chau Sun said, "Why not give me the license, I would only air snow." Many have recommended him to succeed Eric Tsang Chi Wai as the Performing Artist Guild chair. Chau Sun said that basically he has already agreed to take the post, but he needed someone to nominate him first and if he could form a team. He said, "If unluckily I become the chair, for the next PAG banquet I want (Jacky) Cheung Hok Yau, (Andy) Lau Tak Wa, (Ricky) Wong Wai Kay and TVB, ATV artists to all attend. The 56th Asia Pacific Film Festival will take place on December 15 in Macau. Yesterday it announced 12 category nominations. THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) received the most with 9 nominations. Bong Joon-Ho's SNOWPIERCER received 7 nominations while THE LUNCHBOX received six.

Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Nick Cheung Ka Fai and Lee Kang-Sheng battled from the Golden Horse Award to the Asia Pacific Film Festival. They and LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON's Japanese star Masaharu Fukuyama will compete for Best Actor.

Fresh out of the oven Golden Horse Award Best Actress Zhang Ziyi again with THE GRANDMASTERS was nominated for Best Actress. She will compete again Mumbai film THE LUNCHBOX's Nimrat Kaur, Seoul film JUVENILE OFFENDER's Lee Jung-Hyun, Mainland film SO YOUNG's Yang Zishan. Wong Kar Wai and Tsai Ming-Liang will run into each other again for the Best Director Award, as they along with Korean director Bong Joon-Ho, Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda will compete for the honor. Golden Horse Best Feature Film, Singapore film ILO ILO, was also nominated for Best Picture.

Asia Pacific Film Festival planning committee chair Eric Tsang Chi Wai was asked about his choices for Best Actor and Best Actress. He said, "Let's see if Wai Jai and Cheung Ka Fai will win. They both lost at the Golden Horse Award because the jury focused on art, but that doesn't mean that Asia Pacific Film Festival jury chair Shi Nansun will focus on commerce. It's really very hard to say. Masaharu Fukuyama can't be overlooked either. Among Best Actress, Zhang Ziyi of course will be the favorite but Nimrat Kaur will also have great momentum."

Jet Tone was happy about THE GRANDMASTERS' 9 nominations. The company said that the film has received many film festivals' recognition and nominations and hoped that after the Golden Horse Award it will become the big winner at the Asia Pacific Film Festival.

This year's jury will include Shi Nansun, Malaysian director Afdlin Shauki, British Film Institute's Clare Stewart, Cannes International Film Festival director's deputy Christian Jeune, Korean director Hur Jin-Ho, Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga) and Le Vision CEO Zhang Zhao. The opening film on December 13 will be the Andy Lau Tak Wa starred FIRESTORM (FUNG BO).

He said that he was not disappointed about losing the Golden Horse Award Best Director and Best Feature Film, because awards to him were no longer important. In addition he did not have the patience to sit for several hours.

Speaking of Tony Leung Ka Fai, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Nick Cheung Ka Fai losing the Golden Horse Best Actor, To Kei Fung said, "The jury had different preferences, some people have already won for many years and need not mind anymore. Am I referring to Wong Kar Wai and Leung Chiu Wai? Wong Kar Wai takes a long time to make a movie, I think Wai Jai wouldn't mind either." However he was disappointed that Sammi Cheng Sau Man did not win Best Actress. In terms of films Sammi's performance was not transparent enough.

New film FIRESTORM (FUNG BO) will be released on December 19. Andy Lau Tak Wa, Hu Jun, Ray Lui Leung Wai and Yao Chen starred along with many guest stars like Kenny Wong Tak Bun, Eddie Cheung Siu Fai, Lo Hoi Pang and Michael Wong Man Tak. Wong Cho Nam guest starred as a Department of Correction employee. When he learned that Oscar Leung Lit Wai played Yao Chen's brother and had scenes with Lau Tak Wa, he was very envious.

Cho Nam said, "I thought I would have a chance to work with Lau Tak Wa on the film, unfortunately I had to work on another film. The director then arranged for me to play a Department of Correction employee."

Leung Lit Wai was surprised about being cast in a major role, but he felt the stress too. "I was afraid of facing so many outstanding actors. I didn't perform well, but Lau Tak Wa and (Gordon) Lam Ka Tung both treated me very well. Before the shoot they even studied the role with me."

Director Peter Chan Ho Sun two nights ago celebrated his 51st birthday. Despite the earlier "sweetheart" incident, his relationship with Sandra Ng Kwan Yu has not changed. Two nights ago Kwan Yu gave her husband a surprise as she surrounded her husband with herself and 12 beauties from her film. She wrote, "Last night was her dear Pete Third Uncle (Chan Ho Sun's nickname)'s birthday. GOLDEN CHICKEN SSS (GUM GAI SSS) celebrated with one king and 13 queens! Are you happy Boss?" Kwan Yu was Golden Rooster possessed and very funny. Chan Ho Sun was reluctant that his wife's use of "dear" and replied, "I have already gone from love to dear, this is what an old couple is like. [2013.11.30] NICK CHEUNG SEES HIS CO-STAR AS A HOT WOMAN

Nick Cheung Ka Fai has surprised everyone since his turn as UNBEATABLE's muscle man. Lately he promoted his new film THE WHITE STORM (SO DUK) and again challenged the sexy standard with his production, as he posed for an intimate shot with a half naked Thai transgender model Poyd. Because they have worked together on the film, they had great chemistry during the shoot. Poyd, topless, leaned on Ka Fai in a very daring manner. Cheung Ka Fai said, "I wouldn't mind my co-star's sex, I respect her very much. Being a man or a woman is her personal choice. After a week in production everyone already saw her as a hot woman. Many looked forward to her arrival as everyone wanted to see her."

THE WHITE STORM is 130 minutes long, but actually to make the story even more intense many exciting scenes are cut. In one scene Louis Koo Tin Lok danced with children. Normally very cool on the set, when Goo Jai ran into the group of children he immediately turned into a big kid who was full of smiles!

In the December 5 release THE WHITE STORM, leads Koo Tin Lok, Sean Lau Ching Wan and Nick Cheung Ka Fai have been promoting nonstop. Reportedly the current 130 minute long release had many exciting scenes, like Cheung Ka Fai and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam's argument and break up scene at the airport, cut for film length. However, the most regrettable was the dance scene with Koo Tin Lok and a group of children. THE WHITE STORM aside from brotherhood also tug at the heart strings with family. Going undercover, Koo Tin Lok could not often see his wife Yolanda Yuan Quan and their daughter. He could only take time to attend his daughter's school activities. The always cool Goo Jai would rarely have a smile on the set, especially when he was working. However when he shot the scene with children, he turned into a big kid and had a smile the entire time.

On the day of the shoot Goo Jai arrived earlier at the school and watched the children's rehearsal once. Then he danced with the children. Goo Jai kept chuckling during the shoot. Off camera Goo Jai was very popular with children. One boy even gave him candy. The children and their parents lined up for photos and Goo Jai turned no one away. This scene took an entire day to shoot, but in the end it could not escape the fate of the cutting room floor. Goo Jai did not mind and respected the director's decision. When the team promoted the film in Rome, Goo Jai missed the chance for an early glimpse because he wanted to visit the Vatican. He could only listen to Lau Ching Wan and Cheung Ka Fai's reviews. Goo Jai who was promoting in the Mainland will return to Hong Kong next month and book a show out of his own pocket to watch the film.

However, Taiwan and the U.S. were both discussing the remake rights, while he was working on another script. Would he feel any pressure because the audience demand was raised? Juno said, "Luckily I have several scripts that were already thought through before RIGOR MORTIS' release, I didn't have to change much."

Speaking of old flame Gilliam Chung Yun Tung earlier graciously congratulating him online, Juno said that he replied to the text and thanked her. Will he work with her? He said, "My next few scripts all need more mature characters, but I welcome anyone to work with me."

Model Fish Liew (Liu Chi Yu) left home in Malaysia to work in Hong Kong. Earlier she even tried her luck in her first film as she took part in the Teddy Robin Kwan produced new film DOOMSDAY PARTY (MOOT YUT PAI DUI) performance. She had many scenes with Kelvin Kwan Chor Yiu and challenged her sexy standard with a side nude scene. Fish remembered the shoot like it was yesterday. She said, "On the day of the shoot I couldn't eat and could not be at ease at all. When I shot the final take, the director wanted me to climb out of the bed and ran out of the camera range. However I accidentally fell onto the camera tracks. My face, knees and thighs were all bruised!"

Fish admitted that she luckily had her family's encouragement to have the courage to accept the nude scene challenge. "After I found out about the nude scene, I asked my family and friends for their opinions. Papa who was working in Indonesia told me he would support me no matter what. I just kept crying, he was the one who gave me a lot of confidence." Producer Teddy Robin also explained the purpose of an actor to Fish, so she would perform at ease. "Teddy said that an actor had to use his or her body to explore the character, not to think whether to get naked or not." She also thanked other actors like Kwan Chor Yiu for their advice.

In addition, Fish said that after completing the film she has already become addicted to acting and hoped to be able to join the film industry. She said, "Making a movie was very challenging. After completion I had a sense of satisfaction. I hope to have even more opportunities later." Will she give a sexy performance? She said, "This is not my selling point."

Whitney Hui, Jeana Ho Pui Yu, Ava Yu Kiu and others two nights ago braved the chill and attended their film LAN KWAI FONG 3 (HEI OI YEH PO 3) pool party in sexy swimsuits. Hui Yik Nei graciously posed for photos, while the more experienced Jeana was reluctant to remove her jacket. Later when they played a game they had to go in the water. She immediately screamed, "That's crazy!" Even when director Wilson Chin Kwok Wai spoke up no one was willing to go in, and the game was cancelled. "Inch Mouth Barbie" Barbie Liu (Ha Wai Yu)'s sexy swimsuit stole the spotlight. She also put her arm around the shoulder of Hui Yik Nei, whom she was rumored to be at odds with, for photos. Hui Yik Nei looked upset then forced a smile.

Playing with an injury, Yu Kiu still appeared at a disadvantage with the other swimsuit clad women. She was not afraid of having her spotlight stolen. "It doesn't matter, originally I want to wear a swimsuit; but I thought that it would look really bad with a protective boot on one leg. The director forgave me and only asked me to wear something sexy."

Yu Kiu recalled shooting the pool scene in the cold in Korea earlier. She said, "They (swimsuit clad actresses) get what they deserve today! That day my Korean co-star and I worked on an intimate scene in the pool. Our embrace was very tight because as soon as we were separated I would have a wardrobe malfunction. He was quite a gentleman and I wasn't taken advantage of." Yu Kiu after seeing the trailer felt very scared, as she did not expect the result to be so daring. Would she watch it with boyfriend Adason Lo (Law Lik Wai)? She awkwardly said, "It would be the best not to watch it with anyone I know. (Alex) Lam Tak Shun said that his father (George) Lam Chi Cheung will go. I feel somewhat awkward."

Hui Yik Nei earlier posed a photo if 99 roses. Actually they were birthday gifts from a female friend. She hoped to have a new start after her birthday. Did she want to erase the unpleasant news earlier? Hui Yik Nei said, "No, the film to me is a new challenge. I don't want to talk about any gossip anymore. I want to concentrate on work, but if I date later I will publicize it."

Ha Wai Yu denied that she wore a smaller size swimsuit. "This is already an extra large. This result is only because it is before my period." Jeana who wore a jacket almost the entire time explained that she was ill. Was she afraid of having her spotlight stolen? Jeana only said, "Everyone put a lot of effort into looking very pretty and very sexy."
