Louis Koo Tin Lok yesterday attended a whisky promotional event. Goo Jai has already started to learn to drink beer when he went to banquets with his parents. As an adult he gradually learned to drink hard liquor but rarely at work. He remembered when he first got into the
business an elder taught him to drink a small amount of hard liquor to relax, but he got more nervous instead. Thus this idea did not work for him. Goo Jai also felt lucky that after drinking he would only fall asleep and rarely embarrassed himself.

Goo Jai's film TRIPLE TAP (CHEUNG WONG JI WONG) has made over 100 million in the Mainland box office. He promised to celebrate with the team. Will he ask for a raise? He said that would depend on the film budget and the role. He has offered to reduce his film salary for non starring roles.

Actually she understands that it's for the movie, she is not that petty."

To Kei Fung chose Suzhou for the wrap because he thought Suzhou was a very pretty place. He even revealed that in a few days Louis Koo Tin Lok will join the team; but because it was Ng Yin Cho's final day, Director To popped champagne bottles to celebrate his wedding next week. Ng Yin Cho in the film worked on a proposal scene with Gao Yuanyuan. To Kei Fung told him to get on one knee, take out a diamond ring and ask Gao whether she was willing to marry him. During rehearsal Ng Yin Cho was somewhat embarrassed and often broke into laughter. He even said to the director, "I truly have never done this. (How did Ng Yin Cho propose to Lisa S.?) It wasn't like this at all. One day I was having dinner with her and talked about having children. We both felt it was time. I then asked her if she was willing to marry me, she said yes. Just like that I
proposed and she agreed. It wasn't romantic at all. Ultimately we have been together for eight years, so just now was my first time proposing on my knee."

At his second stop, when Siu Fong entered the cinema to thank viewers some people screamed when they saw the lead actor's sudden appearance. The cinema was sold out that day, which comforted Siu Fong. he immediately gave away autographed posters to everyone. At his final
stop, Siu Fong gave out gifts at the ticket booth and made the originally crowded streets even more chaotic. Soon due to overcrowding the event had to be cut short. Siu Fong hoped that this summer everyone would not only support big Hollywood animation but also Hong Kong films to provide another choice for everyone. He was very glad to provide joy to everyone and had no complaint about promoting at several cinemas in a row.

Derek Yee Tung Sing after PROTEGE (MOON TOH) and OVERHEARD (SIT TING FUNG WON) again worked with Louis Koo Tin Lok and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) in TRIPLE TAP (CHEUNG WONG JI WONG). Siu Bo said that their repeated collaborations was not because they were his favorites as rumored, but completely because they were not troublesome! "We have been working together, we have chemistry. Without having to say so much, some actors and managers in this industry are truly very troublesome!" Siu Bo this time landed Li Bingbing to play Goo Jai's superior and Charlene Choi Chuek Yin to play Goo Jai's nurse girlfriend, but either had too many scenes and seemed underutilized. He responded, "I am not making a
romance!" Siu Bo also revealed that actually he and Goo Jai have known each other for a long time. He said that Goo Jai was single and warmed up slowly, since Li Bingbing did not have a boyfriend he wanted to play "matchmaker". Unfortunately nothing came of it. "I told Bingbing, she and Goo Jai matched pretty well. Bingbing said Goo Jai didn't talk, so I told her to take the initiative and caht with Goo Jai. In one scene, I deliberately arranged for them to be the only people in the car. Through the receiver I thought I would listen to what they were chatting about. I didn't expect Goo Jai to actually be so dull, even I didn't want to hear him talk. Haha!"

The film after less than three weeks in Mainland release has passed 100 million at the box office to become the first Chinese film to hit the mark this summer. Due to its success, director Yee Tung Sing officially became a member of the "100 Million Yuan Director Club". Even famous director Feng Xiaogang expressed, "TRIPLE TAP absolutely is the summer's trail blazer for Chinese films!"

Many viewers after watching the film left messages on microblogs or message boards to praise Koo Tin Lok's outstanding performance and the film was absolutely his representative work. Koo Tin Lok excitedly stated, "I have played many different characters. This time I had to have very good balance between good and evil, which indeed is very difficult. This time I finally have a good answer for the director and film viewers!"

Another lead Ng Yin Cho was so exhausted from the promotion that both his eyes had burst capillaries. The success of the film was worth all the hardship. Yee Tung Sing said, "The box office is the distributors to be concerned with, participation and production to me is even more
important. The film's good performance showed me the Mainland viewers' generosity. Overall, I am somewhat surprised. Here I not only have to thank every actor for their exciting performance and the investors for their support, but also the audience for its support."

Emperor Motion Pictures chief Albert Lee (Lei Nga Bok) expressed, "with the World Cup and many foreign blockbuster releases, TRIPLE indeed was taking a risk but everyone was full of confidence in the film. The director made a good movie and with coordination from the actors, the 100 million box office absolutely deserve a congratulation."

At the event the actors and creators conducted a memorial ceremony. Attendees included producer Manfred Wong (Man Jun), director Raymond Yip Wai Man, actors Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting), Tony Leung Ka Fai, Christy Chung Lai Tai, Jennifer Tse Ting Ting, Lee Heung Kam, Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen), Charles Ying Cheung Yau and Angela Gong Mi. This film costs 40 million yuan RMB and has already started production in July, to be completed in August for a November release. Lee Chun Fai expressed that he has negotiated with film companies about this film since 2006. When they learned about the film production this year, they requested the Bruce Lee story to be factual from the start. Otherwise they would be yelled at on the streets for not being truthful. He felt that this time the script was very detailed, the Lee family also provided many suggestions. Lee Chau Yuen expressed that she has always had the dream of making a Bruce Lee memorial movie. Now it finally has been completed. The film was mainly about Bruce Lee's background, growth process and personality.

Leung Ka Fai in the film played Bruce Lee's father Lee Hoi Chuen, while Chung Lai Tai played Bruce Lee's mother Ho Oi Yu. Lee Chi Ting played Bruce Lee. Lee Chi Ting on stage expressed that at first when he was approached he was very surprised. Because Bruce Lee was a world renowned star, at first he had some pressure. The director told him to turn the pressure into motivation. In the film he not only had fight scenes but also had Cha Cha lessons. He said that he never learned to dance, but a guy definitely have fought before. Yesterday he demonstrated a few steps of Cha Cha and looked the part. He also said that this time both dramatic and action scenes were hard to make. Earlier he was injured as foreign co-star Alex Yue struck him in the head. He also studied many Bruce Lee films but would not deliberately imitate him. He and Gong Mi played childhood friends who grew close, but they would not have any intimate scene.

Ting Ting revealed that for her first film, her brother Nicholas Tse Ting Fung has called her several times to see how her preparation was. She was moved to tears with the phone in her hand. Ting Ting honestly said that earlier she did not have any pressure, but now her brother has made her very nervous. Before leaving her brother called her again. She joked that she has never seen her brother as such a nag but felt that he was very lovable this way. Did her brother give any advice? Ting Ting joked, "The advice that he gave me is useless, but it was the first time I felt like I had a common topic with my family, who is also very supportive of me." She also said that she thought Leung Ka Fai resembled her father a lot after working with him.

Chung Lai Tai expressed that she has not made a movie in six years. This time she was at ease. Because she has worked with Leung Ka Fai before, they had a lot of chemistry. She also brought her child to keep her company at work. Did the former sex symbol mind the promotion to a mother role? She said that she did not mind.

[2010.07.20] NICK CHEUNG DOES NOT THINK ABOUT BREAKING RECORDS

courtesy of takungpao.com

STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN) director Dante Lam Chiu Yin made the film with the original BEAST STALKER (JING YUN) team but the story are completely related. Nick Cheung Ka Fai won six Best Actor awards with BEAST STALKER and broke the Hong Kong film industry reward. Does he expect STOOL PIGEON to bring him even more Best Actor rewards?

Ka Fai says that he of course would be happy about any reward. "However the most important is still the audience recognizes and likes my movies!" Nicholas Tse Ting Fung this year just won a Hong Kong Film Award as well. Does he have any expectation? "Award or not is secondary, every time I only do my best to complete each film. When the audience likes it then it's good, this is the biggest reward!" Director Lam Chiu Yin jokes it would be the best for everyone in STOOL PIGEON to be nominated. "Because everyone gave 100% hard work and sincerity to make STOOL PIGEON well. We are confident, STOOL PIGEON is the Hong Kong film that deserves the anticipation this year!"
