Patrick Tse Yin passed away on the 16th of this month at age 98. His son Nicholas Tse Ting Fung announced his father's passing Monday (the 20th), expressing that Tse Yin dedicated his life to film, television and entertainment and hoped to bring joy and smile to every viewer. No matter his mood, his father would insist on appearing at his most perfect on screen and always say "The show must go on". He asked everyone not to cry and not to be too heartbroken when they thought of Tse Yin. Tse Ting Fung followed his father's lessons, and on the 25th he would perform a concert in Qingdao as scheduled. He made his first appearance after his father's passing as he headed to Qingdao. Some pointed out that Tse Ting Fung originally planned to take a private plane but in the last scene he switched to a regular airline and head out with his team. Someone posted a video on social platform in the mainland, saying that Tse Ting Fung has already arrived in Qingdao's Jiaodong International Airport. In the video Tse Ting Fung was dressed in all black, carrying a big black bag and rapidly walking with the staff. He kept his head lowered throughout without saying a word. His manager confirmed that Tse Ting Fung has already arrived there.

After Tse Yin's passing, many rumors about his "cause of illness" and "estate distribution" surfaced online. Yesterday Tse Ting Fung's employer Emperor Entertainment Group issued a statement, citing that lately Tse Ting Fung's father Tse Yin passed away and he and his family hoped to handle the affairs in a low key manner. "We have discovered that some uninformed individuals online fabricated facts about Mr. Tse Yin's 'cause of illness' and 'estate distribution', publicly publishing false and malicious information, stirring up rumors and causing trouble, and leading many online to misunderstand and follow the trend by posting false, insulting and defamatory negative remarks about Mr. Tse (Tse Ting Fung)."

"The deceased are gone, their reputation, privacy and personal dignity should be protected by law and fundamentally respected by society. Any fabrication of facts, distortion of the truth, malicious slander, or fabricating public opinion in the name of the deceased is considered disrespect to deceased and constitutes infringement."

"As Mr. Tse's management company, Emperor Entertainment hereby solemnly declared on behalf of Mr. Nicholas Tse regarding the above matter: Anyone should immediately cease such false statements and delete all published false statements and reports."

"The departed have found peace; may hey live in peace and eternity. We earnestly ask all sectors of society to treat his posthumous reputation with goodwill and respect, and not to let false statements further undermine his reputation. If anyone insists on spreading false information, Emperor Entertainment and Mr. Tse reserve the right to pursue relevant responsibilities according to the law and will not tolerate any leniency."
