Jiang Wen's new film LET THE BULLETS FLY two nights ago held a promotion in Cannes. Overseas film companies and media crowded into the small venue, many came on their own without any invitation. Jiang Wen's numerous French friends also came and nearly double the venue occupancy. Venice Film Festival chair Marco Muller and famous director Jia Zhangke also came.

Jiang Wen and Marco Muller have known each other since Marco Muller recommended Jiang Wen's debut as a director IN THE HEAT OF THE SUN for the Venice Film Festival. He then used Chinese to sing "Without you how can film festivals happen". Director Jia Zhangke revealed that earlier he had to guest star in a role and felt very happy. Yet after awhile, Jiang Wen changed his character into a woman.

This film enabled three top Chinese film actors Jiang Wen, Chow Yun Fat and Ge You to face off on screen. Fat Gor in the trailer had five or six costumes and lit up the screen. The film's actresses are worth mentioning: Zhou Yun looked valiant with a gun, Carina Lau Ka Ling was charming, Bai Bing flashed by in a sexy costume. The rumored Ge You and Ka Ling passion scene showed parts of itself. Ka Ling laid by the head board while Ge You could not wait to leap over. The violent scenes were just as bloody as the earlier released poster. Jiang Wen chopped madly at the camera. After blood splashed his white shirt Jiang Wen raised his sword to the sky and looked very cool.

The event even designed four promotional items while Fung Tak Lun, Siu Fong and the director tried on bikinis. Siu Fong even asked for a photo with the bikini clad director.

Ah Gil after two years returned to promote the film in the Mainland and fans presented very thoughtful gifts. They also read a touching open letter to state no matter what they would support Ah Gil and treated her as a part of their hearts. Ah Gil broke down. Director Lau also expressed that the film's release two years later was a Heavenly arrangement. He said, "I am very honest. Back then when Ah Gil made it she was very popular like she was in Heaven. Overnight she fell into Hell, her life is just like the film's female lead. Also the same is that Ah Gil and the female lead both have no vengeful hearts as they work hard to live optimistically, head toward their own goals. Today she has already come out of the dark and matured! So I hope everyone can support her and give her a chance." Already crying Ah Gil again shed tears.

The press conference also publicized the film promotional song FOR A LIFETIME (YUT SUN YUT SAI) music video, both Ah Gil and Siu Fong watched it for the first time. Ah Gil said that when she recorded the song she liked it very much already and thought the lyrics coordinated well with the movie theme. She was truly too happy to see the music video now. Siu Fong pointed out that when the film company had to edit the music video, he immediately suggested Rubber Band's Number Six because he could put his coolest and best looking side into it. The host realized that Ah Gil was again teary eyed after watching it. She honestly said that the music video reminded her of the production. Back then everyday in Cheung Chau was very pleasant. The director also revealed that Siu Fong often stayed on the set after finishing his scenes because he was afraid that Ah Gil would drown. Ah Gil said that Siu Fong bought a underwater camera to take her pictures.

The Chapman To Man Jat produced, Gillian Chung Yun Tung, William Chan Wai Ting starred EX (CHIN DOH) will be released in June. Ah Jat this time even invited Tian Niu to guest star. After a long hiatus from the silver screen, Tian Niu at first did not agree; but as soon as she heard the lead was Ah Gil she did.

Actually Tian Niu and Ah Gil worked together on a television series before. This time she played Ah Gil's mother who was independent, loved to travel freely. In the film Ah Gil and Tian Niu had a heart to heart chat, Tian Niu suddenly improvised and took out a waist band that she made to Ah Gil as her birthday present and wished her a smooth and happy career. Ah Gil was very surprised and immediately broke down, turning the originally weeping scene into a cry. After this scene their relationship became even closer, as they constantly chatted and laughed on the set. They even exchanged beauty secrets and truly resembled sisters more than mother and daughter. Tian Niu not only treated Ah Gil particularly well, she also became one with the other actors as she took care of her junior colleagues, who felt that they were lucky to have Sister Tian Niu in the cast.
