The film AFTERPIECE (DAI SEI MOK) held an all star premiere last night, producer Derek Yee Tung Sing, actors Stephen Fung Tak Lun, Angela Yuen Lai Lam, Myolie Wu Hung Yi, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Alan Yeung Wai Lun and Ng Wing Sze attended; guests included Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Nancy Wu Ting Yan, Sharon Chan Man Chi and Kenny Wong Tak Bun. Wu Hung Yi would turn 47 on the 6th of this month. The crew presented a cake to celebrate her birthday early, which surprised and moved her.
Wu Hung Yi thanked the crew for the surprise, admitted that the birthday wish was the film to be a big box office hit. Because the director has put in a lot of effort and the word of mouth has been widely circulated, the film would be worthy of good results. As for how she would spend her birthday, she said, "I have to go back to school (Film Production Master of Art program) on my birthday and then have dinner with my family later." Returning to school, she joked that because of the midlife crisis, she wanted to learn and study anew in hopes that it would help her write a script in the future. Fung Tak Lun expressed his admiration for the determination of Hung Yi to return to school. In addition to learning theory, she has also regained the enthusiasm of the youth. Would he have the impulse to return to school? He smiled and said that he would be more interested in understanding the enthusiasm of others. Hung Yi immediately praised him for not needing to be a student, he should be a instructor instead; Chau Sau Na immediately raised her hand to sign up for his class, and offered her services to participate in his film that would start production soon. Fung Tak Lun said that while making STEPHEN'S DIARY he already thought that Chau Sau Na would "definitely succeed" and promised that as long as she was willing to make the time, he could shoot at any time and would tailor the role for her. How did he feel about Hung Yi? Fung Tak Lun said, "Of course she would succeed! Earlier when I was watching "EVERBODY START BY", Hung Yi had to act on the spot for evaluation. I guessed that after finishing the first level I wouldn't be able to hide how I would appear during evaluation. I would feel, "What do you know" but it was okay to be evaluated by Yee Tung Sing. I am just joking, actually standing out there really seemed to be on trial in public."
Regarding Colman Wong recalling that he started dating Mandy Tam Man Huen immediately after breaking up with Constance Chan Hong Tai, Eason Chan Yik Shun's daughter. Tam Man Huen was an artist under Fung Tak Lun's banner. With her being accused of being the third party, Fung Tak Lun said, "It's hard to answer. I don't know much about things, but young people have their way of doing things. They don't need us to worry." Would this affect his relationship with Chan Yik Shun and would it be embarrassing if they meet? He joked, "Our relationship has never been good. Actually we often see each other. Everyone is mature, and who hasn't been young before!" Has he been reminded of his youth? He said, "I am fine, I am very normally. They are very normally too. Everyone is very normal!"
In addition, 52-year-old Harwick Lau Hoi Wai admitted being in love with Christy Lai Kai Kwan who was 20 years his junior. Wong Tak Bun said that he just played pickleball with them on Halloween. He said, "A big group of us play together. We rarely see each other normally. I only found out about them being together from the newspaper. They haven't been deliberately hiding it, just no one has particularly noticed."
Yuen Lai Lam responded to her earlier long article about sexual harassment in the business for the first time. She said that the post was very detailed and she had nothing to add. She emphasized that she did not want to make anyone public, but only wanted to bring out in- depth discussions. She revealed that she received many direct messages from women afterwards and felt that her courage has received attention and support, which made her breathe a sigh of relief and caused people in different industries to reflect. Referring to being kissed by force by an elder, Yuen Lai Lam stated that these things were not the starting point of the article. She just hoped that everyone would reflect on why girls would think too long when they have been violated, and why the climate would allow these things to happen. She said that in recent years she has been interested in developing toward writing a script and making short films, but would not shoot just over a single event. She hoped to raise widespread concern about the phenomenon; as for the establishment of a union to protect women in the industry, she said that she has not thought about it before but could consider it.
As for whether the elder involved has contacted her after the incident, Yuen Lai Lam pointed out that when she wrote the article she deliberately did not leave a clue for everyone to find him. She did not intend to point out his identity either. He was exposed because he issued an apology on his own. She stressed, "I didn't want to end his career or judge him, and I didn't expect him to apologize." She was happy to say that she could inspire women to speak out because it was justice.
Her film role was custom made for Yuen Lai Lam. She said that she asked a lot of herself and would be a little more tense, but she has heard from her colleagues that the audience response has been decent. "The director wasn't displeased with anything and found the work acceptable. The director has said to me 'Angela Trust Me' the most. I really admire my own seriousness very much." Both Wu Hung Yi and Chau Sau Na praised that Yuen Lai Lam's performance as outstanding. Wu Hung Yi said that Yuen Lai Lam's performance had to be real and nature for the entire screenplay to be valid. Chau Sau Na revealed that backstage she saw the scar of Yuen Lai Lam's leg. At first she thought it was make from the time, but later realized that it was a real bruise.
