YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE's Giddens Ko yesterday came to
Hong Kong for his new film MON MON MON MONSTER's premiere, 3 key actors
Eugenie Liu, Kent Tsai and Deng Yu-Kai attended.
The film received a category III rating. Giddens Ko was not
worried that it would affect the box office. He said, "Each place has
its own laws, Taiwan's is above 15, Singapore's is above 16. Actually
those scenes aren't what I wanted to express the most, so no one need to
be afraid. They can go to the movies and watch." As for his confidence
of breaking YOU's Hong Kong box office record, Giddens Ko said, "I feel
that YOU is a miracle, but because Hong Kong people loved YOU I chose
Hong Kong to be its first world premiere city to thank Hong Kong in
return."
Eugenie Liu earlier announced on social media that she was dating
Sammo Hung Kam Bo's second son Jimmy Hung Tin Cheung. She said,
"Publicizing the romance instead made me lighter. In addition we met in
this film. He was the action director, but during the shoot we were
really just very good friends. (Did Hung Tin Cheung take special care
of you?) No, he was very focused on the safety of everyone. Because I
played the monster, I was on the wall for a period of time without shoes
or underwear. I was very exposed and could be hurt very easily, so he was
worried that I would be injured. However he worked seriously, the
director could be the witness. We didn't get together until after the
movie was done." Has she met Hung Kam Bo? Eugenie said that they brushed
by each other once, and he gave her quite an idol impression. Did she
ask her boyfriend for a dinner to meet the parents? She bashfully said,
"That would be a little embarrassing, we just started. We have to get
to know each other a little more first."

1941. Hong Kong is occupied by Japanese forces.
During the three-year-and-eight-month occupation, the Japanese military pillaged and arrested cultural figures living in Hong Kong. The Dongjiang Guerilla unit was tasked with rescuing these cultural figures and extracting them from the besieged city.
The occupation transformed Hong Kong from a prosperous city into a barren land with no food or water. Primary school teacher, Lan – recently separated from her lover, Rong - and her mother are trying to survive this difficult period in their small run-down flat. After the schools are shut down, Lan unwittingly finds herself embroiled in the guerillas’ mission to save novelist Mao Dun. In the process, she meets Hei-zai, the daring captain of the guerillas. Taking notice of Lan’s calm, resourceful nature, Hei-zai recruits her to join the guerillas.
Lan sets up a secret liaison point for the guerillas in the city, stealthily delivering intelligence under the watchful eyes of the Japanese military. Worried for her daughter’s safety, Lan’s mother volunteers to take Lan’s place, only to be arrested by the Japanese. To save her mother, Lan is forced to turn to Rong, who now works for the Japanese...

Pakho Chau yesterday appeared at the Book Fair for an
autograph session to promote the film THE SINKING CITY: CAPSULE ODYSSEY
(SAI FONG GIK LOK TAI BAU TAI JI TAI HUNG CHONG). He gave away posters.
Pakho Chau said, "I haven't read this novel, but the script is very
funny. Hong Kong hasn't had this type of light humorous film. It's very
funny during the shoot. (Andrew) Lam Man Chung kept improvising, I
couldn't follow so I just didn't. In addition my character couldn't
laugh, so before the shoot I would think about other things to divert my
attention. (Did you have any bad take?) This film had no bad take, the
outtakes would be cut into the film. In the entire film only Lam Man
Chung used foul language. He had no taboo. I have a lot of confidence
in this film because it is able to reflect the land problem. Everyone
can relate to it."
The film THE FOUNDING OF AN ARMY was the film that director
Andrew Lau Wai Keung put the most effort into in the past two years.
Director Lau even had the support of many superstars.
Every star of INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH) was a superstar. Even
though they were working in different places they were all willing to take
time to shoot a video to support Director Lau. Two days ago Andy Lau Tak
Wa, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Carina Lau Ka Ling started. Yesterday the
film company continued to release another video with Leon Lai Ming, Sammi
Cheng Sau Man, Kelly Chen Wai Lam, and Gordon Lam Ka Tung. Lai Ming in
the video said that he was in a desolate desert, praised Lau Wai Keung
as a very experienced good director and hoped everyone would support
him; Sammi said that the trailer alone already had blood boiling; Kelly
and Ka Tung also cheered on Director Lau Wai Keung in the video.
Chrissie Chau is so busy with work that she has no time to date. Her friends have to wait three months to have dinner with her.

yesterday attended the new film SIT MUK HUNG JEH (SECRET LEAKING
WALKER) production start worship ceremony at the Kai Tak Ferry pier.
Yesterday one of the focus was Sister Na because she was caught at the
movies with a married producer. She said that he was only a friend of
many years and stressed that she absolutely would not choose a married
man.
Chun Yu, Chilam and Ah Sheh just returned from shooting in
Penang. They were not shoot in Durian Hill. Chilam said that this time
Chun Yu taught him something. "Chun Yu performed drinking right after
having durian, which actually was possible. Maybe only he could do it,
I didn't dare to try. However the durian there was very delicious." Chun
Yu said that he could tell the type of durian from eating it.
In the film Chun Yu and Chilam played Hong Kong and Malaysian
cops, while Ah Sheh played a news reporter. Were they responsible for
protecting Ah Sheh in the film? Chun Yu sad, "Ah Sheh dragged us into
trouble with her. I didn't want to participate. (Do you three have any
romance?) The three of us have a great relationship." Did they have
any action scene? Chun Yu said, "Some other actors were responsible, we
were in car chases and gun fights. We aren't action stars, but we wouldn't
mind fighting either." Ah Sheh revealed that she had car chases in the
film and was a little scared. Chilam said that he would coordinate. Chun
Yu said, "If even you are pretending you are an action actor, what is
Jackie Chan then?"
Sister Na was recently caught at the movies with the married
producer Charlie Wong Wing Fung. They were already linked in rumors six
years ago. Sister Na admitted that they went and said that she has known
him for years. They were friends and she knew his wife too. Would she
watch herself a little? Sister Na said, "I wouldn't deliberately avoid
anyone. (Would you ask Mrs. Wong to go to the moves too next time?) I
can." She stressed that she would not choose a married man.
Sister Na said that she was so busy with work that she could not
tell how long she has not dated. was she very dry? She said, "I am so
dry that I have skin reaction. Hurry up and tell the boss to make a
romance to nourish me. (Acting and real life are different.) Work is too
busy, I don't have time to get to know anyone. (Do you have any suitor?)
No, my friends said that they had to wait three months just to have
dinner with me. This year I would be busy with television series and
movies."

Andy Lau Tak Wa produced and starred in THE ADVENTURERS
(HUP DOH LUEN MUN) again risked his life. During a wired stunt, Wa Jai
accidentally hit the edge of a hole and injured his forehead. To prevent
from hindering the production, Wa Jai still insisted on continuing the
shoot. After the shoot the team realized that Wa Jai was hurt and
examined him. They even appreciated his professionalism and gave him a
standing ovation. Wa Jai said, "Actually I rather enjoy shooting this
film." Wa Jai in the film would battle international film star Jean Reno.
They would battle brains and brawn, as the film even shot on location in
Europe.
Meanwhile, the Media Asia Film distributed THE FOUNDING OF AN
ARMY will open in Hong Kong on August 3rd. Many celebrities who have
worked with director Andrew Lau Wai Keung like Lau Tak Wa, Carina Lau Ka
Ling and Tony Leung Chiu Wai made videos to support their friends' new
film. In the video, Wa Jai did not use a cane and stood up on his own.
Wa Jai said that in the 80s he already knew Lau, who had his own vision
on handling masculine films. Thus he definitely would support the Lau Wai
Keung directed THE FOUNDING OF AN ARMY.
After almost half a year of recovery, yesterday Wa Jai made a
"surprise appearance" as he shot a video for the Lau Wai Keung film.
Earlier Wa Jai reportedly was frail and his voice was hoarse. In
the video, Wa Jai was not as thin as earlier reported. His voice was not
hoarse either. He looked energetic as he did not require a cane. In
addition the director's friends Leung Chiu Wai and his wife Lau Ka Ling
said a few words in Cantonese and Mandarin to support Lau Wai Keung.
Two nights ago the first screening took place at the Sunbeam
Theater in North Point for almost 1,000 viewers. After watching some
said, "Very moving!" Director Lau Wai Keung also attended the forum
after the screening. He said that he was reminded of a childhood
memory. He also sincerely and humorously had exchanges with the audience.
A grandmother even thanked the director for bringing him this film and
said that she would watch it again and tell her family and friends to
watch it again too. Some viewers said that they cried, and some viewers
said that no matter what the person's position was, everyone should watch
this film.
