Kwai Lun-Mei for the new film OCEAN HEAVEN performed the same title song. This was already Siu Mei's third singing performance for a movie but she still trained for two months for it. Perhaps because the film's song writer was Japan music master Joe Hisaishi, Siu Mei had a lot of stress. Finally during the recording she was sick for two weeks. Siu Mei two years ago sang theme song for ALL ABOUT WOMEN (NUI YUN BUT WAI) and NO PUEDO VIVIR SIN TI last year, Siu Mei joked that others spent ten years on a sword, she sang one song a year.

The film asked Japanese music master Joe Hisaishi to write the song. After hearing Kwai Lun-Mei's demo, Joe Hisaishi felt that Siu Mei's singing was very tender and gentle. It matched with the song and the film itself very well. With the master's recommendation, Kwai Lun-Mei in order to do her best trained for a month with a singing instructor and even turned down many jobs to focus on her training. Finally Siu Mei fell ill for two weeks during the recording. She honestly said that this time she was even more nervous than her first recording.

Siu Mei said in 2008 she sang for the first time for the film ALL ABOUT WOMEN. At the time she had Zhou Xun by her side so she was able to handle it. This time her collaborator was the world famous master Mr. Joe Hisaishi. Because she liked VALLEY OF THE WIND, LAPUTA since she was little, she was particularly excited and nervous as she was afraid that she would sing poorly and ruin the master's effort. Although she recorded while she was ailing, Kwai Lun-Mei was very professional and thus received good review from the master. Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun) who wrote and sang a theme song for the film as well had nothing about praise for Siu Mei. He said that this was a reunion with Siu Mei since SECRET (BUT NUNG SHUET DIK BEI MUK) and felt that Siu Mei's performance improved from three years ago.
