The 94-year-old Bowie Wu Fung (Brother Sau)'s friend Patrick Tse Yin passed away earlier. The media wanted to ask Brother Sau for a response, and Brother Sau's relatives and friends replied that Brother Sau's body was ailing. Brother Sau released a short video on social media last night to explain the experience of hanging on to life by a thread. He revealed that he was admitted to the hospital earlier and was even in a coma in the ICU for 4 days. He needed to be intubated, fortunately he has now recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
Brother Sau shot a video and commented, "I have had a serious incident recently, so I’m going to tell my good friends now." With his daughter-in-law JoJo, he appeared to be in good spirit was good in front of the camera. His daughter-in-law said that the family earlier, in order to keep the outside world from worrying and disturbing the hospital, only said that Brother Sau had Covid and the flu. However actually Brother Sau suffered from cholangitis due to gall stone blockage, was in critical condition and rushed to the ICU of Queen Elizabeth Hospital; during which due to breathing difficulties he needed to intubated and in a coma for 4 days, the situation was worrying.
The doctor described Brother Sau as "taking a lap in heaven", praising him for his luck and said that cholangitis could cause serious complications, bacteria entering the bloodstream or sepsis, enough to be fatal; fortunately he received timely treatment. He remembered that the fragments of family, friends, and god sons and daughters kept coming to mind during his coma. His strong will to live made him overcome the disease and wake up. He also sincerely thanked the medical experts and all the medical staff of the ICU of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, as well as the family, friends and the general public online for their concern and encouragement. Experiencing the thin line between life and death, Brother Sau said that he would cherish the opportunity to meet with all his friends and family.
