The Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, Gardner Tse Kwan Ho, Edan Lui
Cheuk On, Hedwig Tam Sin Yin, Angela Yuen Lai Lam, Anson Lo Hon Ting,
and Fung So Bo starred film HONG KONG FAMILY (GOR SI GOR JIK) opened
on November 24th. After the world premiere early in the month at
the Busan Film Festival, it also opened the Hong Kong Asian Film
Festival. Yesterday the film company announced that previews will
be held on November 12th. The first wave of advanced screenings would
have almost 1,000 tickets, which began available at noon. In half a
hour it was sold out!
Sister Mo even publicly expressed her love for the
director in the production special. "Eric (director Tsang Hing Weng)
I really, really love you. I very rarely say I love a director.
This screenplay is his own story. Because of the understanding,
everyone is full of chemistry." Edan and Anson Lo both agreed that
working with the director has been rather pleasant. Anson Lo said,
"The director doesn't put on any air at all, very easy going and also
very easy to talk to."

The Nick Cheung Ka Fai, William Chan Wai Ting, Shaun
Tam Chun Yin and Chrissie Chau Sau Na starred film BAU LIT DIM
(EXPLOSION POINT) two days ago had an accident while shooting in Gua
Tempurung in Malaysia. Due to a downpour the water level rapidly
rose to as high as 1.5 meters, over 300 production team members
including Chau Sau Na, Tam Chun Yin and others were trapped inside
the cavern and needed to contact the police for help. Firefighters
rushed to the scene for the rescue. The workers outside the cavern
assisted with rope to pull out the crew one by one. After 3 hours
all of the member were saved without any injury.
Because Cheung Ka Fai was not trapped, many people thought he
was not present. Actually at the time he was waiting to shoot the
ending, he was resting in the vehicle. Originally the crew asked him
to wait inside the cavern, but because it was close to meal time they
changed their mind and spared Ka Fai. Ka Fai yesterday, because the
crew was already safe, humorously said, "At the time the situation
was rather critical, everyone flew to dodge it......that was just my
imagination!" Then he seriously said, "The water level indeed rose
very fast, the crew help each other to leave. However because the
water level really rose too fast, very quickly it reached their
thighs. So we asked the local police for help. Now I wish the most
for the shoot to be nice and smooth from now on, and everyone would
be able to go home safe."
Despite the scare, the scene was not completed two days ago.
Thus the team yesterday entered the cavern. Tam Chun Yin yesterday
recalled the frightening moment. "At the time I was lying in the
water, but more and more water flooded in. Very quickly it turned
into a rapid, but we were all very cool as we left in an orderly
fashion." The accident worried many. He was a little sorry about
that. "William sent a message asking if we were OK. The families
were very worried. We were fine, very safe. Now the production has
already resumed." Because he had to constantly be in the water, the
team prepared a lot of mountain climbing warmth equipment for him.
He said that on the Lunar New Year's Day he worked on the Changbai
Mountain in 20 some degrees below zero Celsius. This time I toughed
out a flood and being trapped in a cavern. The year has been
rather unforgettable."
Chau Sau Na returned to the hotel to rest after the rescue
and slept until the next morning. "When I got up I was surprised to
see so many messages, I never thought that I would make everyone so
worried. During the shoot as soon as I saw the water level rose, we
immediately retreated to higher ground. At the time we didn't know to
be scared. Several minutes later, the water level already reached our
thighs, we even got to get into the water and pull the rope to go
back outside. Due to how rapid the water was going, I couldn't get
stable footing and only got scared when I was almost washed away.
Luckily only because everyone were watching out for each other we
were all safe." Yesterday she posted a photo from the one day
tour earlier. "I am safe, thank you everyone for your concern."
BAU's producer Leung Fung Ying said that Chau Sau Na's scenes
originally would have been done two days ago, thus the team prepared
champagne to celebrate. However before the champagne was brought out,
Chau Sau Na, Tam Chun Yin and others were in trouble. When they were
rescued they all became "mud people". Luckily they were more scared
than hurt. Although the production has run into numerous obstacles,
she was confident that the film would be able to wrap up production
before the end of the month.
Completing his shoot the day before, William Chan Wai Ting
said that when he saw the new he was very nervous and worried. He
immediately called Cheung Ka Fai. "I passed by the cavern entrance
everyday, like when I changed clothes or went to the bathroom. When
I saw the news although the team was not mentioned, as soon as I saw
the entrance I recognized it. I hope the production would wrap up
sooner and be completed smoothly, because this film has experience
who knows how many obstacles with so many people injured."
He pointed out that the cavern was full of wet and uneven
rocks. Many people including the producer were hurt. "He fell on
his back and sprained his leg. After the medical team just
bandaged his leg, his injured leg went 'crack'. I am not
exaggerating! He really is a workaholic, as soon as his leg was
wrapped he immediately looked for a camera spot to shoot me and even
held the camera. His spirit is truly admirable for me. I told him,
don't risk so much with only a few days left, he was taking more
risks than the actors!"

The film LET IT GHOST (MAN GWAI 3 BO) two nights ago
held its premiere. Actors Ling Man Lung, Kaki Sham, Ashina Kwok Yik
Sum and Laring Tang Yueping attended. Kwok Yik Sum in the film played
a female ghost and stole away So Chi Ho's first on screen kiss.
"Brother Ho was shy about getting intimate on the screen for
the first time. I played a female ghost, brushing up from his belly.
My hair made him very itchy and he couldn't stop laughing. We had
several bad takes and shot again a few times."
Kwok Yik Sum received her boyfriend Brian's support at her new
film's premiere. She told her boyfriend in advance about the kiss
scene and the bed scene, her boyfriend also said that after watching
if he would be upset he even told her not to mind. Thus she felt that
her boyfriend was already very perfect and attentive. Kwok Yik Sum
recently worked on a new series WARRIORS WITHIN 2 (DAI TIN HA 2) and
lost some weight to look better in shape.

The continued appearance of giant unidentified life forms known as "S-Class Species (Kaiju)" has become commonplace in Japan. Conventional weapons have no effect on them. Having exhausted all other options, the Japanese Government issued the S-Class Species Suppression Protocol and formed an enforcement unit, known as the SSSP.
The members chosen for the unit are: captain Kimio Tamura, strategic planner Shinji Kaminaga, unparticle physicist Akihisa Taki, and biologist Yumi Funaberi.
In the midst of a Kaiju threat, a silver giant appears from beyond Earth's atmosphere. Analyst Hiroko Asami is newly appointed to the SSSP to deal with this giant and is partnered with Shinji Kaminaga. In Hiroko's report, she writes— "Ultraman (tentative name), identity unknown."

It is often said that food and meals bring families together, but in TABLE FOR SIX it's clear that not all family gatherings are a cause for celebration. In this melodramatic comedy, three brothers reside in a home that they inherited from their late parents. The eldest brother Steve, theoretically is the man of the house, but he constantly is getting dissed by his two younger brothers Bernard and Lung for the decisions he makes, the inedible meals that he cooks, and his complicated romantic encounters. To prepare for a family reunion dinner, Steve seeks the help of Lung’s girlfriend and foodie Josephine and in doing so, wins back their hearts for a while, until his old flame and Bernard’s new girlfriend Monica shows up. That's a recipe for a disaster waiting to explode! film BAU LIT DIM (EXPLOSION POINT) was shooting in Malaysia.
Yesterday the team shot Chrissie Chau Sau Na's scene in Gua
Tempurung, but around 3PM due to rain the water level rose to around
1.5 meters. 30 film production team members including Chau Sau Na,
Tam Chun Yin and others were trapped in Gua Tempurung. The
firefighters rushed to the scene for a series of rescue work.
Around 6:10 PM all those trapped were saved, luckily no one was hurt.
Reportedly, the rain came very suddenly. In a few seconds
the waterway turned into a rapid, hence trapping Chau Sau Na, Tam
Chun Yin and the crew. The situation was rather dangerous. Finally
they used rope to pull each one out and all were successfully
rescued.

The 19th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival two nights ago
held the opening ceremony. Two opening films HONG KONG FAMILY (GOR
SI GOR JIK)'s actors Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, Gardner Tse Kwan Ho, Hedwig
Tam Sin Yin and THE NARROW ROAD (JAT LOK MEI CHUNG)'s actors Louis
Cheung Kai Chung, Angela Yuen Lai Lam and Anna Tung On Na attended the
premieres.
Mo Shun Kwan and Tse Kwan Ho in HONG KONG FAMILY played a
family with Edan Lui Cheuk On, Yuen Lai Lam and Tam Sin Yin. After
working with this group of new actors, Sister Mo praised that several
new generation actors really liked to act. Everyone had a lot of fun
from working together, after finishing the film she realized that hope
appeared in Hong Kong film again. Sister Mo in particular praised
Tam Sin Yin for being very talented, having a lot of her own ideas,
and would observe other actors' performance from the sideline.
"Actually both young actresses are very excellent, and gave quality
performance. When by the end Tam Sin Yin and I had a moment of eye
contact, then I realized that I had so few scenes with her. Her
eyes are very capable of acting!" Sister Mo said that Edan would
join the team for promotion. Lately she has been busy with
promoting and has not have time to watch Keung To and Edan's new
series WE GOT GAME, but revealed that Keung To and Jer Lau Ying Ting
would attend audience appreciation events for MAMA'S AFFAIR (AH MA YAU
JOR DAI YI GOR) and asked everyone who have not seen it 20 times to
watch it again. As for Carol Cheng Yui Ling not extending her TVB
contract, Sister Mo admitted that she did not know before hand. She
has not have the time to chat with her yet. She felt a change of
scenery would be a good thing, looked forward to Cheng's acting and
would try to persuade her. She also said that Sister Do really took
care of MIRROR and she would see if everyone would have any
opportunity to collaborate.
Tse Kwan Ho said that the actors were decent too. Playing
father and son with Edan, he sensed that Edan's performance had a lot
of fire. "On the first day on the set he already called me Papa,
he really put an effort into playing the emotional scenes and did all
his homework. He also asked me for advice. Being with actors who
are interested in acting, I am very happy." Tam Sin Yin said about
the elder's praises, "I really am flattered, on the set I actually
rarely made noise. I only paid attention and observed. I don't know
whether they were just being courtesy or not, I still want to thank
everyone!" Sister Mo said that this was sincere praise and not
words of courtesy.
Cheung Kai Chung revealed that THE NARROW ROAD was a family
film that depicted three generations of ordinary people looking out
for each other. In the film he and Yuen Lai Lam's relationship was
not the usual opposite sex relationship. Yuen Lai Lam cut her hair
short for a new look. She denied that her rumored boyfriend Edan Lui
Cheuk On upset her, she just wanted to switch to a more androgynous
look. However fans said that she lost her charm after cutting her
hair. She said, "When I heard that at first I was a little unhappy,
but beauty has many kinds. I want to discover another type of
beauty."
Yuen Lai Lam denied the variety of rumors with Edan. She
said that the couples look was a coincidence. He sat on the sofa at
her home and streamed live, but she clarified that it was not her
home. They had a group of friends that they played together. "He
has come to my home once, but never by himself." Was she worried that
fans would be upset and apply pressure to the company so they went
low key? Yuen Lai Lam said, "Spare me! I don't dare to reach that
high, everyone right now are good friends!" Ah Chung chimed in and
said that Yuen Lai Lam has always been a guest at his home, but she
only came to look for his wife. Friends' visits were very normal.
Two days ago was Yuen Lai Lam's 29th birthday. At the
premiere she received flowers. She pointed out that she was very
happy friends came to support her movie and had dinner with her to
celebrate. Edan however has done nothing. As for her birthday wish
she would like the pandemic to pass soon. Everyone would not have to
use a mask again. Hong Kong also would also be completely open and
return to normal lives. Both Cheung Kai Chung and Yuen Lai Lam
received the 59th Golden Horse Award Best Actor and Best Actress
nominations. Yuen said that she would treat it normally, because her
actor's journey just started if she would win she would have a lot of
pressure. Ah Chung admitted that he had no confidence in winning
because the competition would be very strong. He was already happy
with the nomination.
