The premiere of the movie BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM) was held last night. Producer Soi Cheang Pou Soi, directors Jonathan Li Tsz Chun, Chou Man Yu, boss and actor Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai) and Chrissie Chau Sau Na (Sister Na), Liu Kuan Ting, Raymond Wong Ho Yin, Renci Yeung Sze Wing, etc., attended and attracted a large number of onlookers. Goo Jai laughed and said that he was considering dancing with Sister Na Cinema at the theater entrance to pump up the box office. He called on the industry to face up to AI instead of worrying about it, hoping to have an exclusive AI system of his own.

BEHIND THE SHADOWS would be released in Hong Kong next Thursday, Goo Jai revealed that the film was released in the mainland for the Duen Ng Festival and received a good response. Today he and Sister Na would go to Malaysia to promote it, after returning to Hong Kong they would continue to thank the audience. With the recent wave of Hong Kong cinema closures, was he worried about the impact on the box office? Goo Jai said, "This is a market trend, and what we can do is do our part." He joked that he would ask Sister Na to dance during audience appreciation events. Sister Na joked that they could dance together at the entrance of the theater. Goo Jai immediately said, "I'll dance if you dance, dancing together would be great!" Regarding her previous spicy dance performance with Raymond Lam Fung was compared with Kate Tsui Tsz Shan's, Sister Na replied with a smile, "Even if you don't want to notice you still have to, but the dance steps are different. Tsui Tsz Shan and I are very different, our choreographers and choreography are also different. This everyone wants to try something new. However I definitely can't dance Tsui Tsz Shan's choreography. Her dance is great, while I don't have a dance background. Each have their own characteristics. " Goo Jai's performance of "Popular This Week" again at the Lam Fung concert had a great response. He admitted frankly that he has never thought about being a singer again, nor did he have the idea of releasing a record. Even as singing on the stage as a guest, it would be an absolute necessity for him to do it.

Speaking of Goo Jai's investments, he co-production with Peter Chan Ho Sun the Korean web series ONE: HIGH SCHOOL HEROES. It started broadcasting on the South Korean streaming platform Wavve from the 30th of last month. As for talks of entering the Korean market, Goo Jai said that he was making different attempts. He has learned that the response was not bad, and revealed that in fact he has invested in two Korean dramas this time. He would decide whether to continue in the future depending on the situation. Whether the two Korean dramas will be broadcast in Hong Kong, it would depend on which platform would broadcast them.

Goo Jai recently revealed he has developed artificial intelligence (AI) system in house, and the test film adopted elements of WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI) and BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI). Goo Jai admitted that he was trying to use AI in the movies, but he was still researching. He hoped to be able to have his own system. "AI capabilities have their own advantages and disadvantages, different movies need to use different application solutions. The specific details are commercial secrets, so we can't disclose too much for the time being." For the industry's concern that the widespread use of AI will affect the livelihood of filmmakers and lose their job security? Goo Jai said, "AI is already born. So instead of worrying, it's better to take the initiative to understand what AI is!" He clarified that Jessica Hester Hsuan (Suen Huen) completed the re-filming scenes of BACK TO THE PAST in person, and AI was only suitable for specific types of films.

Sister Na believed that although AI could convert her voice into multilingual dubbing, it could not replace the emotional expression of actors. Goo Jai added, "AI is particularly suitable for the production of sci-fi scenes, but it also needs to be adjusted and adapted. AI needs to be continuously invested and updated. It would be difficult to estimate the total investment amount due to the rapid iteration of technology."

The film company "One Cool Films" has recently been defrauded by criminals, and some people have been deceived. Goo Jai issued a solemn statement through the company, reminding the public to be vigilant and not to believe in unknown investment information, and emphasizing that they cannot sit idly by. "We must alert everyone in time to avoid more victims." Seeing that Goo Jai still had to wear sunglasses when he attended the event recently, he said that he has already undergone a retinal repair surgery before. He still needed to be under observation for his eye floaters, then decide whether to have this major surgery at the end of August.

Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Louisa So Yuk Wah, P1X3L members George Au Chun Ho, Shannon Chan Shu Yan and Summer Chan Chi Huen attended the premiere of their movie VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH (BUT SEH JI JUI) the night before. Wong Chau Sun said that one of the producers Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai) did not have a script yet when he asked him to perform. Then he thought nothing would come from the project, but it dragged on for two years and then happened. "Goo Jai is very thoughtful. I don't know whether he appreciates me or pities me, maybe he wanted to save my life!" Wong Chau Sun and So Yuk Wah were interviewed together. The former said that he provided advice during the filming process. The story of VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH was about religion. The film would become sensitive when brought to Europe. Fortunately he heard recently that the audience had good response to the film, which had good word of mouth. So Yuk Wah revealed that she successfully fought for additional scenes, "I played the victim in the film. For the last scene when I saw the perpetrator, I gave advice to the director and screenwriter during the shoot. Because the script was good, I wanted to play the scene to its full potential and be more complete."

Wong Chau Sun met with the audience after the screening with the team, and was intoxicated with singing the theme song of the movie "Painful Farewell of Love" before appearing. He described that making a movie now was more difficult than getting married. With an opportunity he should try his best and enjoy it properly. "After this gig I don't know when the next gig would be? I am not being negative, I'm not an optimistic person; I feel like I have to accept reality." Recently a series of theaters have closed, was he worried about the box office would be affected? Wong Chau Sun said that he did not know, because he did not understand how the theaters schedule releases. "In the past we had cinema circuits, now we have theaters but no circuit. If you only have one theater that shows the movie, you would have to have a two- month run. I heard earlier that some movies broke 100 million at the box office. Theaters now are small and few, how can it exceed 100 million? In the past when a movie was released in hundreds of theaters, it only received several tens of millions." So Yuk Wah thought that the general environment has changed. She was just one of the ants, so she could only do her duty and hoped that the audience would support the film. She was grateful to her husband Poon Chan Leung for his positive review after watching VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.

Wong Chau Sun posted a photo of his elder son Wong Yat Yat on social platforms earlier. People online praised his son could directly make his debut He revealed that elder son is now the manager of a shoe company, and the newly graduated younger son plans to do design work. Neither had interest in entering the industry. He laughed and said, "The elder son has tried making a movie before and felt that it was hard. He wants the most to be rich as soon as he sits down, a great ambitions that is so clear!" So Yuk Wah also praised Huang Yat Yat for being handsome, his handsome face could rival Wong Chau Sun's when he was young.

Au Chun Ho was able to work with Wong Chau Sun and So Yuk Wah in his film debut, and he admitted that was both pressure and motivation. He would observe how the two elders prepared for their roles on the set. He found that despite his strong aura, Wong Chau Sun was not mean and would gladly communicate and talk with others. He put aside the "idol baggage" to play the rapist in the film. Au Chun Ho believed that as an actor, he should try more, not limit himself and set a bottom line. "I don't mind playing a rapist again. Each criminal has a different personality, and I also want to get more experience." He revealed that group mates Marco Ip Chun Wang and Phoebus Ng Kai Yeung had visited the set and were very envious that he had a movie to make.

Reportedly KING MAKER VI contestants withdrew due to harsh contract conditions. Participated in ViuTV's KING MAKER II to enter the industry, Au Chun Ho believed that the choice was personal. "You have to gauge whether the contract is harsh or not. I had the same contract back then, and I felt that it was an opportunity so I went for it".

[2025.06.03] DAYO WONG REUNITES WITH A GUILTY CONSCIENCE DIRECTOR JACK NG FOR A COMEDY WITH SAMMI CHENG

Dayo Wong was a guest at Sammi Cheng's concert 9 years ago. This time they would collaborate on a comedy film

In 2023 Dayo Wong Tze Wah and director Jack Ng Wai Lun collaborated on the film A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG) to collect more than HK$ 115 million at the box office, ranking second among Chinese films at the Hong Kong box office and winning the Best Film at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards. A few days ago, director Ng Wai Lun was rumored to have started filming A GUILTY CONSCIENCE 2. Then the official social platform of A GUILTY CONSCIENCE issued a denial, pointing out that Edko Films and Ng Wai Lun currently had no plans to start filming A GUILTY CONSCIENCE 2.

A week later, Edko Films announced yesterday that director Ng Wai Lun will cooperate with Wong Tze Wah again. The new film will invite actress Sammi Cheng Sau Man to play the female lead. Edko Films said, "Thank you for your interest in Edko Films' new film productions. Today (yesterday) we can finally announce that Edko Films is planning to start filming a director Ng Wai Lun directed, Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man starred comedy film. Movie fans, see you at the cinema!" Wong Tze Wah reposted the post on social platforms.

Director Ng Wai Lun shared what was suspected to be the dialogue from the film. "Brother Foon: Numbers? Which numbers are you talking about? The numbers in the books or the number in your fortune? Sister V: All men in the world can be killed, of course it is better for you than for me to die. Prosperous royal road vs doomsday domineering, stay tuned." People speculated online that Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man would play "Brother Foon" and "Sister V" respectively.

Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man once co-starred in the movie TEMPORARY FAMILY (SUT LUEN GUP YEUNG), in which Wong Tze Wah made a cameo appearance as Cheng Sau Man's ex-husband. In 2016 Cheng Sau Man invited Wong Tze Wah to be a guest at her concert, and the latter joked on stage at the time that he has only seen Cheng Sau Man for one day. After everyone said hello, they talked about books. Wong Tze Wah said, "Let everyone meet the other side of Cheng Sau Man. On the day I met her, she asked me if I have read the 19th century great Russian writer Dostoevsky's novel CRIME AND PUNISHMENT. Then she said "I don't get it". After that I didn't want to pay her any mind, because I haven't read it. The conversation ended like that, and the relationship was over."

The Radio Television Hong Kong (hereinafter referred to as RTHK) organized "46th Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs" award concert was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum last night to present the 2024 music report cards. With the theme of "Trendy Movement with Love", the event featured the famous rock band Tai Chi and the "Queen of Love Songs" Janice Vidal (Wai Lan) to be guest performers. Fashion designer Chiang Wan Mei created fashion looks for the emcee team, and the event also provided innovative sign language interpretation services to showcase Hong Kong's multicultural diversity. Last night, Jay Fung Wan Him won five awards in a row and became a big winner with a brilliant performance.

The awards ceremony, with Alex Lee Chi Kong, Wong Tin Yee, Kity Chui Kit Tung and Brian Yuen Chung Yeung as master of ceremonies, kicked off with the singing of the 180-member choir, and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau Ying-wah, presented the medal to the choir as a token of appreciation.

In addition to Yau Ying-wah, the Director of Broadcasting Angelina Kwan Yuen-yee, the Chairman of the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH) Professor Chan Wing-wah, the Chairman of the International Federation of Phonographic Industry (Hong Kong Group) Colin Cheung Kwok-lam, the President of the Hong Kong Record Merchants Association (HK) MiMi Chung Wai-wai, the General Manager of the Licensing Department of the Hong Kong Recording Industry Alliance Ng Lung Fung, the host and section chief of Music Broadcasting of Beijing Radio and Television Chang Xiaohang, the assistant director of Shanghai People's Radio Dynamic Channel 101 Sheng Yu, and member of the Executive Committee of Teledifusao de Macau S.A. Cheang Kong Pou also came to show their support.

At the unveiling, all the singers took the stage. The singers standing in the first row were Gin Lee Hung Ngai, Jay Fung Wan Him, Cloud Wan Hoi Ying, AGA (Kong Hoi Ka), MC Cheung Tin Fu, Mike Tsang Pet Tak.

Jay won 5 awards that night and became the big winner, including the "Chinese Gold Song Award" for SEE YOU SOON, IT'S NOT A GOODBYE, "Excellent Pop Singer Award", "Best Chinese Record Award (Male Singer)", "CASH Best Creative Singer Award", "Global Chinese Supreme Gold Song Award", followed by Cheung Tin Fu, Gin Lee and Wan Hoi Ying with 3 awards. Among them Cheung Tin Fu and Gin Lee repeated the male and female singers of the "Most Excellent Pop Singer Award".

Jay thanked RTHK for their support, "Every award is rare and invaluable, I will continue to work hard." The ailing Wan Hoi Ying said emotionally, "Music is my value." When he won the Gold Song award with SEE YOU SOON, IT'S NOT A GOODBYE, he joked on the stage, "I want to take a vacation." Later when he won the Global Chinese Supreme Gold Song award with the same song, he immediately changed his tune and said, "I said I wanted to take a vacation, which might have upset the company. I would be better off composing more songs first."

As for Kaho Hung Ka Ho, he took the lead with TINTED WINDOWS as he won the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Song Award" and the "Excellent Pop Singer Award" in one fell swoop. Tsang Pei Tak won the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Song Award" and "Excellent Pop Singer Award" with TALK TO ME. Lolly Talk's TEN COUNT, Dear Jane's THANK YOURSELF, Yanting Chau's FORTUNE OF THREE LIFETIMES and other works have won awards one after another, showing the diverse styles of the music scene.

After 20 years together, Dear Jane won the Gold Award for Best Band/Group, and lead singer Howie also won the Silver Award for Best Creative Singer. The Gold Award for the "Most Improved Award" was won by Lagchun, but he did not attend. The Silver and Bronze Awards went to Feanna Wong Suk Man and Aska Cheung Chi Ho respectively. The "Excellent Chinese Pop Song Award" went to Gareth.T (Tong Ling Shan).

The second-generation star Ashley Lin (Lam Hoi Ling) won the Gold Award in the "Most Promising Rookie Award", the girl group VIVA and the guy group ROVER won the Silver and Bronze Awards respectively, and the Excellence Award went to Irene Lam Chin Ying, Arvin Tsang Ngo Fei and Kay Lee Hoi Kiu. Lam Hoi Ling won two golds, one silver and one bronze at the four music awards ceremonies this year. She said that she was very happy to be one of the winners of the Rookie Award at the four award ceremonies, and that she would feel a little pressured after she was no longer a newcomer. She would continue to release new songs this year, hoping to show a richer musical outlook. Because she had to wake up early to work the next day, she smiled and said that she could only go home to catch up on her sleep; but promised to find another time to share the glory with her family.

Just celebrated its first anniversary, VIVA won the "Most Promising Rookie Silver Award" and the four members were very happy. "This award has drawn a perfect end to our first year. The future achievements are unpredictable, so we can only continue to work hard and make progress slowly to welcome a new story in the new year."

AGA, Felix Lam Chi Lok, Vincy Chan (Wing Yi), James Ng Yip Kwan and others won the "Excellent Pop Singer Award" respectively. "STAR ACADEMY" singer Lam Chi Lok just won the rookie award last year, and this year he has been promoted to the list of "Excellent Pop Singers". He was nervous on stage. "I originally thought that I would come to watch the show. I never thought that I would be able to win the Excellent Pop Singer award. I am very surprised right now, I really never thought about this!"

Wing Yi suffered from a severe cold and was way out of tune while performing SUGAR FREE. Janice Vidal (Wai Lan) sang a number of classic love songs "Big Brother", "My Heart Is Troubled", "Even if there is no fairy tale in the world" and "The Best Vision of Me" all in one breath. Tai Chi performed many songs, including RED SPORTSCAR and CHEERS. Lead vocalist Patrick Lui Yau Fai asked the audience to turn on the flashlight on their phones, as he dedicated the performance of NEVER SAY FAREWELL AGAIN to its composer, his late bandmate Gary Tong Yik Chung.

Jaime Cheung Tin Wing's girl group Beanies won the bronze award in the "Best Band/Group" award, a breakthrough performance in the music industry; however, her boyfriend ANSONBEAN (Chan Ngai Sun) announced earlier that he would temporarily leave the entertainment industry. When asked about ANSONBEAN's current situation, Jaime said, "He's OK, let him have some space. After resting and regrouping his mind he would start anew. (Has he seen a doctor?) I feel this is a personal question, he might not want to tell everyone. Hopefully everyone would give him a little space, I believe he would get well soon." Would she consider getting married to cheer up her boyfriend? She said, "Isn't getting married a pretty stressful thing? Wait until after he rests up."

All of the singers under the Sony label were absent. Even though Phil Lam Yik Hon won the CASH Best Creative Singer Award, he neither attended nor have anyone accepting the award on his behalf. Excellent Pop Singer award winner James Ng Yip Kwan and the Most Improved Award gold prize winner Lagchun were both absent as well. TVB's Star Academy "After Class" members Chantel Yiu Cheuk Fei, Windy Zhan Tianwen and Yumi Chung Yau Mei attended, but Gigi Yim Ming Hay remained the lone absence amidst rumors of moving on to a mainland company.
