A former winner of the Taiwan Golden Horse Award Best Actress, Loletta Lee Lai Chun recently came to Canada to promote the new film with the Malaysian goddess Lin Minchen and director Clifton Ko Chi Sum. She won the "Outstanding Performing Arts Achievement Award" at the Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival held yesterday! Lee Lai Chun thanked the audience for their support over the years and regarded this award as a milestone on the performing arts journey.

Lee Lai Chun (Sister Chun) has many classic works in the film industry, and won the Taiwan Golden Horse Award earlier with the film ORDINARY HEROES (CHIN YIN MAN YU). Recently she with Lin Minchen and director Clifton Ko Chi Sum promoted the new film MAD MAD MAD WORLD (FU GWAI BIK YUN LOI) in Canada. Yesterday she attended the award ceremony of the "Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival" and was awarded the "Outstanding Performing Arts Achievement Award" for her 40 years in the business. Her onscreen daughter Lin Minchen immediately congratulated her. Sister Chun, accompanied by her mentor Ko Chi Sum, accepted the award on the stage.

Sister Chun thanked her audience and fans for always supporting her, witnessed her countless changes in the industry, and thanked her daughter Annise Hui Yi Yung, Ko Chi Sum, etc for keeping her company along the way. "Whether I am in the mountains or the valleys you continue to encourage me, of course I would like to thank Ko Chi Sum for discovering and cultivating me. For many years, he has been a teacher and a friend. He has taught me a lot." The team went to a local restaurant that was full of the 80s and 90s style to celebrate after the event, Sister Chun said that the award was of great significance. "This time I play a funny mommy in MAD. In recent years my role have been relatively heavy. The award can be regarded as witnessing my transformation this time."

Ko Chi Sum stated that witnessing Sister Chun's award acceptance, he felt many sentiments all at once. "I watch her getting into the business, starting from the movie HAPPY GHOST (HOI SUM GWAI) I have watched her many years of ups and downs. Her eyes are very dramatic, and give her an advantage in making films. This time playing a funny mommy, she is considered to have made a successful transformation. Later there will be many more opportunities." As for Lin Minchen who carefully dressed to participate in the award ceremony, she recently not only promoted the new film, but also came out to visit and enjoy the food. Finding fun at work, she had a thoroughly good time!
