The Sean Lau Ching Wan and Louis Koo Tin Lok starred, Herman Yau Lai To directed film THE WHITE STORM 3: HEAVEN OR HELL (SO DUK 3: YUN JOI TIN NGAI) invested heavily on the construction of a 500,000 feet Thai military base village on Lau Fau Shan, Hong Kong. With the high temperature, it was just like shooting on location in Thailand. The cast all praised the weather coordination, which put them in character more and felt like they were in Thailand. Playing a drug lord for the first time, Ching Wan in order to coordinate with his character's forward thinking personality dressed in more exaggeration. In almost 40 degree high heat he still wore a long coat. No wonder Ching Wan said it was a little tough. "Hong Kong was particularly hot, for several days even Xishuangbanna was not as hot." Sweating bullets, Ching Wan shared his tips of keeping cool. "If you don't like the heat then don't move too much, don't be too excited, don't be too upset. Hong Kong is much hotter than Xishuangbanna, the hottest place I've been was Qatar, Egypt, then Hong Kong." Goo Jai recalled seeing Ching Wan's costume for the first time, he also praised him for wearing thick clothing for he shoot in the scorching summer high heat. "On the first day when I saw Ching Wan's look I got scared, we shot on the first day in Xishuangbanna. This time he played a villain. No matter how vicious his character is, he is still very cool."

Goo Jai and Ching Wan in the film were like friends and foes. In one scene they fought for a gun inside a vehicle, during the shoot Goo Jai even fired a real gun in the vehicle to bring down Ching Wan's subordinate. The shot was loud and deafening. Yau Lai To and the action director while studying the fight choreography inside the vehicle with the two also said that due to the small space, the complicated choreography, the production difficulty would be increased. They also praised Ching Wan for being agile as he kicked the gun out of Goo Jai's hand; Ching Wan humbly said that only with rehearsal did the performance go so smoothly. Actually while testing the mark they had small accidents and he lightly sprained his finger.

Goo Jai said that he and Ching Wan have teamed together for countless times, but this time he worried about fighting with Ching Wan. He also was reminded of their past films. "In CALL OF HEROES (NGAI SING) I played the villain and Ching Wan played the hero, but in CALL OF HEROES we didn't fight. Because the two of us weren't professional martial art material and I was afraid of hurting him, this time we really had a fight and I had pressure. Accidents could very easily happen in action scenes. In particular this movie has had numerous accidents, so I worried." Ching Wan pointed out that the feeling the director gave him was that he paid a lot of attention to safety. They had many fight scenes but they were not too tough. He also shared his experience of working with Goo Jai again. "Just like before, Goo Jai has been just as solid. With Kwok Fu Sing we really haven't worked together in a very long time. He is someone who is very optimistic and easy to work with, his handling of the whole character is very well rounded."
