Opening May 1st, COLD WAR 1994 (HONG JIN 1994) would be the third film in the COLD WAR film series. In the story 3 years before the Hong Kong handover the kidnapping of a wealthy businessman led to a financial storm and involved the police force's internal power struggle, and a tug of war between the business world, the mob, overseas power and other parties. Away from Hong Kong film for a long time, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) earlier said that he has always wanted to work with the COLD WAR film series director Longman Leung Lok Man and finally got together for COLD WAR 1994. He praised the director as mild mannered and not yelling at people, and joked that he was drastically different from Andrew Lau Wai Keung and Derek Yee Tung Sing.

Ng Yin Cho returned to Hong Kong to film COLD WAR 1994 after 10 years, playing the younger version of the Deputy Commissioner of Operations of the Police "Choi Yuen Kei" (played by Chang Kuo-Chu in COLD WAR 2). Director Leung Lok Man said that Hong Kong audiences have always missed Ng Yin Cho, and he chose him because of his age and experience that perfectly fit the role. Ng Yin Cho laughed and said that it was actually not difficult to find him to come back to film, and he has always wanted to collaborate with Director Leung; so when the producer came to him he immediately agreed. Ng Yin Cho advised the new generation to concentrate on acting and not to indulge in social media, emphasizing that with good acting they would gradually become popular instead pursuing the number of fans.

Ng Yin Cho admitted that he was worried about not being able to adapt before filming began. "Yet on the first day of costume fitting I met people from before, I felt so comfortable speaking Cantonese and felt like I was home." He said that in the past he has only made 10 English films but more than 60 Cantonese films, and he was more comfortable filming in Cantonese. From playing a "beat" cop before to an inspector and this time deputy commissioner, he joked that it was thanks to his maturity and life experience. "When I left Hong Kong I was just 40, I was too young to have such a role for me to play; coming back this time I am 52, after over 10 years I have matured a lot and have more life experience. Then I am finally suitable to play this character. It's pretty interesting, very different from the previous police roles I played." This time the role would exhaust all means to achieve his goal, and he left whether it was right or wrong for the audience to decide. Director Leung Lok Man praised him for doing his homework and restored the classic scene of "Choi Yuen Kei" smoking cigars, giving the audience a sense of connection.

Ng Yin Cho and Terrance Lau Chun Him had the most scenes together in the film, and he praised him for being handsome, good in acting and diligent. They quickly established a bond. He said that he was very excited to work with a group of young actors, and said with a smile that he has changed from the youngest to the oldest on the set. Even the junior staff said that their parents were his fans, and he accepted this change calmly. He also shared his experience with Lau Chun Him, saying that from filming in the United States was not much different. He suggested that he concentrate on acting. "Because many other actors who are well versed in TikTok, Red Note, but they should concentrate on acting diligently. I myself play with social media, but I only shoot one movie a year. Many people would think that if they have more followers, they would become popular. Actually if you do your job well, you would slowly become popular."

In addition although he did not share a scene with Chow Yun Fat (Fat Gor) in the film, Ng Yin Cho still visited the set. He said that he has loved Fat Gor since he was a child, but he has never had the opportunity to work together. This time watching Fat Gor acting was quite a pleasant surprise for me. He used to work with Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and Louis Koo Tin Lok frequently. This time this team was very rare.

Ng Yin Cho has maintained the rhythm of only one film a year in recent years, just to spend more time with his daughter who recently came to Hong Kong for a short stay for a week and just left. He revealed that his daughter has never seen his works, when she was a child he deliberately did not let her know that her father was a star. When she grew up, his daughter only watched her favorite movies. His daughter has been learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since she was 10 years old, has practiced for 5 years and won a gold medal. He awkwardly revealed that although he has practiced kung fu for more than 30 years, he was also unable to escape the lock she put him in when he was sparring with his daughter. He was so embarrassed that he had to tap out by kicking. Then he also began to learn jiu-jitsu, and now he already has two ways to resolve his daughter's move. "Once my daughter put me in a headlock, I couldn't get out of it. It was really embarrassed. At the time she was only 10 and she already got me out of breath, so I too had to start Brazilian jiu-jitsu training." He also said that his daughter often used leg scissors, but admitted that the move was not suitable for making movies. He revealed that his daughter has performed in the school musical, but he also said that he did not want his daughter to enter the industry because it was too hard; and he was sure that there would be no father-daughter performances in the future.

COLD WAR 1994 was set before Hong Kong's handover, in 1994 Ng Yin Cho was practicing martial arts in Beijing at the age of 21. He admitted that he did not have a deep understanding of the handover at that time, until he decided to return to Hong Kong after graduating from university in 1997. This also changed his life trajectory as he devoted himself to an acting career. At the time the Beijing wushu team had coach Wu Bin (Old Wu), Wu Jing (Big Wu) and he was "Little Wu". He said, "It was a pretty happy thing at that time, because there was no Internet I was able to practice with all my might. My childhood dream was to go back to China to practice kung fu, and I still practicing two or three days a week."

In this movie he and Lau Chun Him had a fight scene, and director Leung Lok Man revealed that the two would have more tense fight scenes in the sequel COLD WAR 1995. "They would have scenes with very strong testosterones, during the shoot female staff members would peek at the monitor." Ng Yin Cho said frankly that although he returned to Hong Kong to film was rushed, he was very comfortable. With the director in charge he could focus on the performance. The producer and the director each had their own power in the United States, which would be chaotic and leave the actors at a loss.

Speaking of Ng Yin Cho also wanting to be a director, he said that he may have to wait until his daughter goes to college to realize it. He also hoped to write the script himself. Lau Chun Him has also been writing a script as a director recently, and Leung Ka Fai was willing to charge two buck to help? Ng Yin Cho joked, "Just pay me, but he has to give the full 100%. I am the elder! He of course has to respect his elders. If he would successfully starts production, of course there would be room for discussion." Stephen Fung Tak Lun was interested in making a sequel to BISHONEN (MEI SIU NIN JI LUEN). He joked, "Are we still Bishonen? He and I have been friends for many years, together we have produced many projects and have quite the chemistry. I have participated in all of the films he has directed. The collaborations have been very pleasant, of course I would like to work together again -- but the sequel isn't necessary!"

Lau Chun Him in the film had many action and gun fight scenes. He admitted that before the production began he has already had special training. Regarding working with Daniel, he immediately acted like a teenage girl and said, "Ng Yin Cho is so handsome! He truly is a very handsome hunk." He pointed out that Daniel was very easygoing on the set. They also had common topics like exercising and cars, so they were able to become close very quickly.
