[2026.04.09] HOLLYWOOD FILMS TOPS HONG KONG EASTER TOP THREE, WHILE NIGHT KING EXCEEDS HK$ 100 MILLION

The movie BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) has made efforts to promote in hopes of its box office would exceed HK$ 100 million, while the Hong Kong and Macau box office of another Hong Kong film NIGHT KING (YEH WONG) has already exceeded 105 million. In order to thank the audience for their support, many actors would "pay the bill" today in Tsim Sha Tsui and treat fans to fish balls to celebrate.

During the past Easter holiday the total box office revenue in Hong Kong in 4 days reached HK$ 25,931,645, a very impressive increase of 103.33% increase from 12,753,564 over the same period last year! The top three were the Hollywood animation THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE with a box office of 13.19 million and cumulative box office of 20.43 million, the Hollywood movie PROJECT HAIL MARY with a box office of 4.28 million and cumulative box office of 16.87 million, and the animation HOPPERS with 2.89 million and cumulative box office of 26.31 million. Hong Kong films NIGHT KING and WE'RE NOTHING AT ALL (NGOR MOON BUT SI SUP MOR), the new film of MIRROR vice-captain Anson Kong Yip Sun, and CIAO, UFO (JOI GEIN UFO) followed. NIGHT KING made around 1.54 million with a cumulative box office of 107 million. WE'RE NOTHING AT ALL made 1.49 million with a cumulative box office of 1.93 million. CIAO, UFO made 1.19 million with a cumulative box office of 5.94 million. Starred in NIGHT KING, Louise Wong Dan Nei was of course happy about the box office success. She even made a video to reprise the roles she played earlier, including "Sister Coco" in NIGHT KING.
