The Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild on the 19th held
its member meeting and election. Members voted for 21 council members.
Earlier each council members voted for individual posts. Louis Koo Tin
Lok took the baton from Jackie Chan as the 13th council president. Gordon
Lam Ka Tung and Hins Cheung King Hin replaced Simon Yam Tat Wa and Astrid
Chan Chi Ching. They along with Maria Cordero and Chin Kar Lok became
vice presidents. Candy Yu On On continued to be the chief secretary. The
deputy chief secretaries went from three to four with Ruth Tsang (Lo Fu),
Jonathan Wong Chee Hynn, Vicky Fung Wing Kei and Mak Cheung Ching.
Because the previous treasurer Wong Chee Hynn became a deputy
chief secretary, the current treasurers would be Alex Fong Lik Sun, Grace
Wong Kwan Hing and Louis Yuen Siu Cheung. The council would include Yam
Tat Wa, Alex Lee Chi Kong, Ng Sung Ming (King@ C AllStar), Bob Lam Sing
Bun, Tsui Chi Yung (Terence Siufay), Kelvin Leung, Wilson Chin Kwok Wai
and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei. In addition, Eric Cheng Kai Tai, Dough Boy (Ho
Ngou), Lee Hoi Yin (Brian@ 24 Herbs) and Justina Shih (Shek Yau Shan)
became special invitation council members.
The term of the council will be from January 19 2018 to December
12 2019.
Dayo Wong Tze Wah and Charmaine Sheh Sze Man yesterday
appeared on Carol Cheng Yui Ling's radio program to promote their film
AGENT MR. CHAN (DUNG DUK DUT GUNG). Tze Wa and Sister Do traded barbs
on the program, which Tze Wah joked was their chemical reaction. Only
good friends would receive such a treatment.
Speaking of the Lunar New Year film that he wrote and starred in,
the script preparation alone took two years. Tze Wah did not take
additional screenwriting fee. He even constantly took the team to
dinner. The film had Michael Hui Koon Man, Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Miriam
Yeung Chin Wa, Alan Tam Wing Lun and other superstars as guest stars, Tze
Wah thanked everyone for their help but he was certain that each actor's
performance made sense in the story. Tze Wa said, "In particular Hui Koon
Man agreeing to guest star was incredible to me, because he can't be
'captured in the wild' like Chow Yun Fat. His willingness to come over
and perform truly was a honor."
He also asked Yeung Chin Wa why she was willing to guest star, her
answer was because she thought it would be a lot of fun. During the shoot
she even arrived early. Cheng Sau Man had to play a superstar with an
"accident", a role that Tze Wa himself might not be willing to play in her
shoes. As for how he would repay everyone, Tze Wa said, "If they need
anything they should just ask!"

According to the laws of Afterlife, all deceased must go through 7 trials over 49 days divided into 7 sin categories: betrayal, violence, filial piety, murder, indolence, deceit, and injustice. Once the deceased clears all 7 trials, he can be reincarnated and start a new life. "Mr. Kim Ja-hong, you died as expected without complications." Having died unexpectedly at a scene of fire while trying to save a little girl, firefighter Ja-hong is taken to the purgatory by 3 Afterlife guardians – Kang-lim, Hewonmak and Deok-choon. As the first paragon in 19 years, he must go through 7 trials over 49 days in order to be reincarnated. The 3 guardians were promised of reincarnation as well by King Yeomra, who rules the Afterlife, if they successfully defend 49 souls and do their best defend Ja-hong’s innocence in trials as their 48th client. His journey progresses without a hitch, until his brother Su-hong, who died begrudgingly, has turned into a Vengeful Spirit and begins attacking the Afterlife, thereby interrupting Ja-hong’s trial. Through the course of this battle, hidden facts surrounding Su-hong’s death are uncovered and proof of Ja-hong's innocence is now uncertain. The film OPERATION RED SEA two days ago held a Beijing
press conference. Bona film group chief Yu Dong, director Dante Lam Chiu
Yin; producer Leung Fung Ying and actors Huang Jingyu, Hai Qing, Du
Jiang, Zhang Hanyu, Jiang Luxia, Wang Yutian, Yin Fang, Henry Mak,
Guo Jiahao, Wang Qiang, Huo Siyang appeared. Four Hong Kong and Taiwan

Speaking of husband Du Jiang's hardship during the production, Huo
Siyan got choked up. "Du Jiang would call me while working in Morocco.
Everyday I heard how he jumped over ten meters from a building onto a
tank, crawled and rolled in the desert, and my heart ached. This process
also made me experience how being a soldier's wife felt. It's not easy to
be a soldier, it's even less easy to be a soldier's family."
