Yesterday the Hong Kong Cultural Museum's HONG KONG POP 60+ exhibit held its opening ceremony. The exhibit as the Hong Kong Cultural Museum's ongoing exhibit and will continue for several years. Attending artists included Liza Wang Ming Chuen, Wu Fung, Nancy Sit Ka Yin, Phil Lam Yik Hon, Alex Lam Tak Shun, Irene Wan Bik Ha, Mimi Kung Chi Yan and her daughter Ashley Lam Hoi Ling, STARS ACADEMY's new stars Gigi Yim Ming Hei and Yumi Chung Yau Mei.

This HONG KONG POP 60+ exhibit collected Hong Kong popular culture elements from post World War II to early 20th century, including music, film, television, radio broadcast, comic book, toys and other items that told the stories of Hong Kong popular culture's development and artistic colors. Legendary figures and classic work appeared again. First was the teenage Josephine Siao Fong Fong's mini skirt from a musical film, then the film and record sections. On the posters, stills or covers were still green faces of Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow Sing Chi, Leon Lai Ming, Maggie Cheung Man Yuk. Anita Mui Yim Fong's red and gold Chinese wedding dress and white wedding gown from her final performance in 2003, Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's concert highlight, musician Wong Ka Keung's donation of Beyond's late lead singer, brother Wong Ka Kui's first wooden guitar that he toiled to save up for in the 70s. Many of the band's early works were created on this guitar. Back then Wong Ka Kui sold this guitar to Wong Ka Keung at half the price, to tell him that there was no free lunch in the world and encourage him to work harder to chase his dreams on the journey of music.

Wang Ming Chuen said that her work was on display at the museum. "They found those records. I didn't deliberately bring them. They have a lot. Earlier I had an exhibit at the Hong Kong Poly U., I feel this exhibit to show new comers how we used to be." Next year would be Ah Jeh's 55th anniversary in the business. Would she hold another exhibit? Ah Jeh said, "I haven't thought about it. I had one at the 50th, let's see. I would have to stock up on more work first."

Sit Ka Yin said that the exhibit was well worth visiting, because every era of entertainment from the 60s to now were on display and she has been a part of every era. In show business for over half a century, Sister Ka Yin witnessed generations of new comers. She felt that aside from talent and determination, success also required toughness to be achieved.

Kung Chi Yan visited the exhibit with daughter Lam Ho Ling. As an 80's actress, she said that she saved her previous stills and fans have sent her newspaper clippings. She had to rent storage to store them. Lam Hoi Ling said that she has seen Mommy's valuable photos and felt that when Mommy was young she had her own personality and was prettier than her, because back then no "photo touch up" software. Kung Chi Yan praised her daughter for being taller and thinner than her. She was proud of her as well, as parents would hope their children to be more excellent than them.

The Emperor Motion Pictures RAGING FIRE (NO FOR) was the master class action director Benny Chan Muk Sing's final film. As the producer, action director and star Donnie Yen Chi Tan in the film was placed in different crises. The scenes were rather explosive and exciting, thoroughly displaying Director Chan Muk Sing's action film style. Yen Chi Tan said, "From working with Director Chan on the series FIST OF FURY, to after watching CHASING THE DRAGON (JUI LUNG) the director saying he really liked my performance, we began to discuss collaboration. In the beginning was a project that would have shot in Mexico, but due to the variety of reasons it became the current RAGING FIRE; from talking about the production with the director everyday when he was alive to taking over after he passed away, every moment has been very memorable."

The other star Nicholas Tse Ting Fung also in order to bring more blood and flesh to the character invested a lot of effort into its appearance, action and even interpretation methods. He said, "I feel that physical action, kung fu combat are a type of language. As long as watch how he walks, punches, you would know this person's action. Thus every detail must be properly studied."

RAGING FIRE will open in the Mainland on the 30th. The official site released videos from viewers after advanced screenings. As a couple praised how agile and cool Chi Tan was, Yen Chi Tan was hidden in the background and heard everything. The viewers were rather surprised to see Chi Tan. The male viewers even flew to hug Chi Tan and take a selfie. Chi Tan was very happy that everyone enjoyed his performance in the film.

Yesterday Chi Tan spent his 58th birthday on the set of JOHN WICK 4 in Germany. "This year I am again on the set, I really miss my wife and children. However I am fortunate and grateful. This year's wish is less disasters, more happiness, wealth and peace."

[2021.07.27] NICHOLAS TSE PULLS A GUN TO MAINTAIN HIS KITCHEN GOD POSITION

courtesy of on.cc

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung was not only able to act but to cook as well. Earlier in a video he was cooking, someone kept questioning his skills as he was asked to add salt and cook faster; later when he could no longer hold his rage, he took out of gun from under the table and asked, "Are you telling me what to do?" Actually this was only a promotional film for Ting Fung and Donnie Yen Chi Tan's new film RAGING FIRE (NO FOR)!

In addition, although Ting Fung was beyond cool normally, in private he was more than attentive. After each fight scene he would first hold other actors up and asked if they were hurt. He would also gave them pats on their shoulders and thank them for their effort. He often gave them thumbs up on the set to cheer them on. No wonder the crew praised him for how nice he has been!

Gordon Lam Ka Tung yesterday along with the film TIME (SAT CHOOK GOR WONG FUN)'s actors Stephanie Ho Ngan Sze, Lam Yiu Sing and Calvert Fu Ka Tsun appeared at a certain Tsim Sha Tsui cinema for an audience appreciation event. Ka Tung revealed that lately he constantly met with Patrick Tse Yin (Sei Gor) to BS. He also pointed out that he could consider a prequel due to the positive response to the new film, but if it would be made sets would have to built. The cost would not be low and he would have to ask the bosses first.

As the producer Ka Tung was happy about the good reaction the audience had from the film, especially in the opening fruit market war scene. Lam Yiu Sing, Fu Ka Tsun and Ho Ngan Sze all performed very well. Many asked if there would be a prequel and a sequel. He said that he would have to ask the bosses the question. "However the good reaction to the film put me at ease, at least I was able to answer to the bosses. The new and old also had a good platform to perform, so we came to the audience appreciation event together." Would Ka Tung make the prequel? He said, "I have thought about it, but the prequel would be about 50 years go. The numbers would be enormous. If it would be made sets would have to be built. I know everyone is very interested in Sei Gor's early life, but I would have to wait until the screenwriters finish another film and return to the team first."

Ka Tung said that currently every week he would meet with Sei Gor. "In a few days I would have dinner with Sei Gor, mainly to BS. He was very happy to learn about the good performance. (Did you ask him to come to the audience appreciation event?) Today is too hot! No way, I normally would meet him at the club. (Did you pay for Sei Gor?) He did, because he is a member. I am not qualified even if I want to. Sister Bo Bo also contacted me. Once she sent me a poem 5 AM in the morning, luckily I wasn't asleep yet. Sister Bo Bo really wants to come back to Hong Kong soon. I told her if the film would perform well, I would arrange for a re-release at the end of the year. Then she would be able to watch it at the movies."

Playing the younger Tse Yin (Sei Gor), Lam Yiu Sing received praises for his performance from producer Lam Ka Tung. He said that he made all the preparation before hand, using foul language and imitating the way Sei Gor walks. Because of all the action scenes, he had to stretch.

Playing the young Lam Suet, Fu Ka Tsun joked that at first he thought he had to imitate Lam's use of foul language. Thus he watched his films again and impersonated his spirit. Stephanie Ho Ngan Sze in order to play the young Fung BoBo watched 92 LEGENDARY LA ROSE NOIRE (HAK MUI GWAI DUI HAK MUI GWAI). She thought that her pair of big eyes made her impersonation convincing. She said that after watching the premiere, her husband Fred Cheng Chun Won joked that she actually was pretty cool. Many suggested a prequel for the film. Lam Yiu Sing joked that he would jump at the chance. Fu Ka Tsun said that he and Ho Ngan Sze worked on a movie for the first time, finally they could eat the production team rice boxes. Was he confident to be Lam Suet's successor? He said, "yes! I am funny and I can rival Brother Suet in shape."

Reportedly, Chan Jing's contract with her manager of over 10 years See Lim Chi has ended. Although earlier due to emotional problems she considered quitting entertainment and they had words, their relationship from years of working together remained unharmed. It even became better than before. Earlier she already signed a 3 year extension with See Lim Chi's One Cool Group for 7 figures. At the same time she also signed a 3 year film deal with Koo Tin Lok's One Cool Film, hoping with the assistance of two strong internet benefactors she would be able to expand her career. I completely sense her love and sincerity for me. I have always been loyal, I really want this relationship to continue on." As for the "3 no" policy, she joked, "I had no problem with no dating and no marriage over the years, making movies to me is bigger than everything. Without personal relationship, I can focus on doing what I like to do." See Lim Chi admitted the contract extension with Chan Jing. "Including the 3 year extension, we have worked together for 14 years. It's very rare. Our relationship is already no different from family."

"The most Chok in the Universe" Nicholas Tse Ting Fung has always considered "the Strongest in the Universe" Donnie Yen Chi Tan his idol. The Emperor new film RAGING FIRE (NO FOR) even brought them together again. During breaks between the shoots, Ting Fung hilariously became "Yen Chi Tan 2.0" and convincingly impersonating him from his gestures to even his expressions. In the video, Ting Fung stated that he has seen all of Chi Tan's work and even perfectly performed classic scenes like his "motor flying punch" and "mid air spin kick"!

In addition, Chi Tan in RAGING had many street chase scenes. Some online joked that he could participate in a Olympic long distance run and even lamented, "After Brother Tan gets old, who would be able to take the baton in martial art action film?"

"If Tse Ting Fung wouldn't be the kitchen god, he absolutely would be the action superstar!"

The film ZERO TO HERO (MA MA DIK SUN KEI SIU JI) yesterday held a promotional event at a shopping center. Producer and star Sandra Ng Kwan Yu along with screenwriter and director Jimmy Wan Chi Man, Paralympic Games gold medalist So Wa Wai, Leung Chung Hang who played the adult version So Wa Wai, film theme song ROAD OF WONDER performer Jer Lau Ying Ting also appeared in person and attracted over a thousand fans. All 3 floors of the shopping center were filled. Kwan Yu revealed that her 15 year old daughter liked foreigner stars. She also went to shows with her daughter. Her daughter still did not have the financial power to, so she would help pay for her daughter's star chasing.

Ng Kwan Yu on the stage saw how enthusiastic the people's response was and often waved to greet them. She said that she has neither attended a shopping center event for a very long time nor seen so many fans. Would Kwan Yu's daughter Chan Si Chi normally chase stars? She pointed out that her daughter sometimes would chase foreign stars. She also has gone to concerts with her and bought gifts with her for idols. She said, "My daughter really likes a pair of foreign sister internet sensation. When she saw them introduce gifts from fans on their online program, she went shopping for Hong Kong snacks to send to the U.S. I was responsible for paying and helping her send the package. After they received it they really introduced it. My daughter after watching was mad with joy." She also said that she did not object to her daughter's star chasing, but if she had to camp out early for tickets she would not. At the last event, Kwan Yu's daughter who had a cameo also appeared, but yesterday her daughter had a tutoring session and was unable to attend.

Kwan Yu felt that the new film promotion during the Tokyo Olympics was very meaningful. Two days ago the Olympics opened, she and her daughter even watched the live broadcast together. She said, "When we saw the Hong Kong team entered the venue, both mother and daughter applauded. I didn't know why I had an indescribable feeling." Kwan Yu pointed out that she liked to watching swimming, gymnastics and ping pong. She definitely would support Team Hong Kong.

First time publicly performing the film the song ROAD OF WONDER (SUN KEI JI LO), Jer said that before recording it he had an advanced screening of the film. Thus during the recording he had an easier time to be emotionally invested. He even revealed that one of the scenes moved him to tears. She said, "In one scene So Wa Wai told Mommy he wanted to give up his dream of running to go to work and help out with the family. I already collapsed from crying, but with so many people there also I could only try to be reserved; because I also thought about giving up on my own music journey. From the start I couldn't see the opportunities on the music journey, until after I took part in KINGMAKER and everyone got to know me."

In addition, as the adult So Wai Wai Leung Chung Hang's acting received the praises of many. He said that he still has not seen the film yet. He would save further review for after watching on the night of the premiere.

In addition, "Popularity King" Keung To caught director Kearen Pang Sau Wai's eyes for his film debut. Next month he would team with Best Actress Teresa Mo Shun Kwan on the Emperor invested new film. They would play mother and son! Earlier the new film was rumored to be interested in STARS ACADEMY's Chantel Yiu Cheuk Fei for the female lead, but director Pang Su Wai already denied it on social media. Several MIRROR members had auditions. Reportedly aside from Keung To, Jer Lau Ying Ting beat out Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun for the role. The script would even use manager Sister Fa's story with MIRROR as the blueprint.

After 4 years, director Pang Sau Wai finally would start production on her new film. This time she would receive the full support of Emperor Motion Pictures boss Albert Yeung Sau sing to create. As for casting, Pang Sau Wai not only invited Sister Mo but also successfully took Keung To's "first time". The new film for now would use Sister Fa's manager role as the blue print. The Sister Mo played manager spent most of her life on her artists but neglected the feeling of her son at home. Pang Sau Wai once revealed that aside from Keung To, other MIRROR members also had audition opportunities. Actually Pang Sau Wai has considered BE ON GAME's Jeffrey Lau Chun Sun to pair with Keung To, but due to scheduling and other details, finally Jer would play the star in the new film.

According to those in the know, "Pang Sau Wai took a long time with the choice, but because many people feel Jer has a shadow of (Eason) Chan Yik Shun and that he is Eason's successor she fels this character is very right for him. The 22 year old Keung To in three shorts years are already developing in music, film and television. Last year Keung To went to Taiwan for the series SOMETIMES WHEN WE TOUCH, in order to improve himself Keung To still took time from his busy schedule to study acting with Pang Sau Wai. Pang Sau Wai stated her admiration for Keung To many times in public, feeling that he not only got it and had acting potential but also obviously grew up a lot. This time Pang Sau Wai was able to get Sister Mo to work with Keung To, she said, 'I already got what I wanted to get!'" The entire film's preparation has been in full speed. The production will officially begin in two weeks. Conceivably this team would certainly be able to set off many sparks.
