Eric Tsang Chi Wai will turn 60 on the 14th. TVB last night held an advanced birthday banquet for him and spent HK$3 million to produce the party. Chi Wai invited over 600 friends in the business. They included Albert Yeung Sau Sing, Mona Fong Yat Wa, Shirley Kwan Suk Yi, Carina Lau Ka Ling, Leon Lai Ming, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), the pregnant Cherrie Ying Choi Yi and her husband Jordan Chan Siu Chun, Alan Tam Wing Lun and Felix Wong Yat Wa who has already joined HKTV; female stars Joyce Tung Lai Ming, Koni Lui Wai Yi and Natalie Meng Yao dressed provocatively to celebrate with the birthday boy. The biggest surprise for Chi Wai was his granddaughter who came all the way from Canada.

The birthday party took place at the Convention Center. Tsang Chi Wai's giant figures were placed inside. At the opening, Chi Wai appeared with his sons Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung, Mark Tsang Kwok Yau and daughter Bowie Tsang. During his birthday speech he said the most important was to live in the now. The event showed a video of Chi Wai's granddaguther in Canada, then she performed a dance on the stage and surprised Chi Wai.

Chi Wai has always been charitable, he asked his friends to make charitable donations in lieu of gifts. His birthday wish was to create a charitable organization to help the retired with a new life and unite to help those in need. Would he ask friends of a certain age like Tam Wing Lun and Jackie Chan to participate? Chi Wai laughed but did not answer. Will he reduce his workload? Chi Wai said, "I have already begun to enjoy the world, going on vacations with friends." Geogre Lam Chi Cheung performed as the mystery guest and spoke about his past with Chi Wai. Past "Trio" members Chan Siu Chun, Nancy and others performed with Chi Wai.

Yeung Sau Sing later had to attend the Huading awards. When he arrived Chi Wai personally greeted him. They happily shook hands and chatted nonstop, as Yeung Sau Sing gave him laisee to congratulate him. Fong Yat Wa came alone without Uncle Six Sir Run Run Shaw. She and Chi Wai held hands for photos.

Chi Wai was rumored to be the father of Kwan Suk Yi's son. Kwan Suk Yi did not bring his son to attend but graciously gave him a kiss. She joked, "Everyone always ask my son, why not ask Chi Wai to make him his god son. Then everyone would be happier. Did my son give a gift to Chi Wai? My son doesn't know him." Wong Yat Wa has already left TVB for HKTV but Chi Wai invited him to attend. He said, "No border, even if I am not on camera I don't mind. I have to come for the Trio Leader's 60th birthday. I just saw Chan Kwok Keung and I greeted him, the world is round. Will I return to TVB? The world is hard to predict!" He joked that he would not return to TVB unless he got a HK$50,000 raise.

Edmond Leung Hong man earlier was accused of not helping Chi Wai during the Kenny Wee assault incident. Thus they were rumored to be at odds. Leung Hong Man said, "You still believe this? I forgot it already, I don't have to prove anything. Everything is in the heart, everyone can see it with their own eyes."

Originally three Great Heavenly Kings were to produce, but Jacky Cheung Hok Yau and Andy lau Tak Wa had to work. Only Lai Ming performed. Speaking of his former wife Gaile Lok getting married again, Lai Ming declined to respond. "Tonight is someone else's birthday, I won't respond to rumors. If you want to ask go ask the rumored. Am I dating? No comment, the most important is Chi Wai is happy." Tam Wing Lun gave six figure in stocks to Chi Wai as a gift. Lau Ka Ling praised Chi Wai was the Arhat in her heart.

Tung Lai Ming joked that she was occasionally sexy. "I will soon shoot a breast enhancement ad, I really want to increase my cup size again! If I get married I will notify everyone." Lui Wai Yi said, "I listened to Chi Wai and dressed up. I am all natural and can be made round or flat." Meng Yao thought that she was fat and had to work on staying in shape. Samantha Ko Hoi Ning showed off her back instead.
