The 9th Huading Awards took place last night at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition center. Nicholas Tse Ting Fung with THE BULLET VANISHES (SIU SUT DIK JI DAN) won Best Actor, Fan Bingbing with SECOND EXPOSURE won Best Actress, COLD WAR (HONG JIN) won Best Picture; Jackie Chan with CZ12 (SUP YI SUN CHIU) won Best Director and Best Film Action Direction. The film also won the Best New Comer Award; Lee Byung-Hun won the "Best Overseas Actor" award. Lau Tak Wa after kneeling to present the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress to Deanie Ip Tak Han this time only half knelt to present the "Achievement of the Year Award" to "Mama" Ip Tak Han.

Tse Ting Fung with THE BULLET VANISHES won Best Actor. Ting Fung was very happy that the film brought him an award because he liked this film very much. Will he get a raise? Fan Bingbing with SECOND EXPOSURE won Best Actress. She said, "I am very happy, this film is a drama. Its production cost was 20 million RMB but it made over 100 million RMB at the box office. Later I will work with the film's director again."

Chapman To Man Jat with DIVA won Best Supporting Actor. Ha Ga-In and Simon Yam Tat Wa presented the award to him; Ah Jat kept flirting with Han Ga-In, calling her pretty repeatedly. Han Ga-In got shy and did not respond. Yam Tat Wa asked Han Ga-In if she had to work with Ah Jat on a movie but it was only a supporting role, she would take it? Ha Ga-In said, "No problem, as long as I can express my acting it's fine." Ah Jat also said that if he would work with Ha Ga-In he wanted to make THE GRANDMASTER 2. Because it would take several years to make, he could be with her everyday. Ah Jat said that DIVA has already brought him a second award. As the film's producer he never thought that he would win an award. How will he celebrate? He boasted, "After Saturday (The Hong Kong Film Award) first." Was he fully confident about winning Best Actor? He immediately said no.

Fan Hiu Huen with THE SILENT WAR won Best Supporting Actress. Siu Huen was very surprised to win her first film award. She never imagined it but her confidence for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress has not increased.

Lee Byung-Hun won Best Overseas Award. He greeted everyone in Cantonese and said in English, "I am very honored to participate in this award show, the most special is seeing my childhood idol Jackie Chan. I hope everyone would support my new film G.I. Joe 2."

Huading Award was an audience word of mouth award. The awards results came from a survey of film, television, music, drama and dance fans.
