[2024.11.06] FISH LIEW, LAWRENCE CHENG START WORK AT ODDS

The Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui (Brother Tan), Fish Liew Chi Yu, Jay Fung Won Him and Amy Lo Wai Man starred film AN ABANDONED TEAM (DUT CHUNG SIN SUN) will appear at the "HKAFF Hong Kong Asian Film Festival 2024" on November 7th and officially be released on the 28th. Earlier, the cast and the crew held a production start worship ceremony with dog actors, and the humorous Brother Tan mingled with a group of young actors. Liew Chi Yu revealed that one of Brother Tan's famous songs "WORDS FOR THE MOST BELOVED" was played on the set and was looking forward to Brother Tan's live interpretation of the monologue, but unfortunately Brother Tan refused. Jay the singer said, "Brother Tan really likes to listen to Jazz, he would sing while waiting to take his mark. I really want to jam with him. I know that Brother Tan has released songs before. I heard that he is the first generation rappers in Hong Kong." Brother Tan released the song "THAT NIGHT I SCRATCH MY DAUGHTER'S BACK", which was well known on the streets. Brother Tan said, "I have checked the meaning of Rapper, it is 'So Bak Lam', I am the first generation 'So Bak Lam', You are more modern so you called it Rapping." He even gave a demonstration in the voices of Roman Tam (Law Man) and Adam Cheng Siu Chau.

Playing the veterinarian, Wong Ching Yi (Ah Jeng) interviewed her co-stars about what they have learned from their elders. Fish praised "Papa" for being tall, good-looking, good-natured and willing to teach newcomers. "He is so willing to teach newcomers, he treats us to coffee everyday. There are too many advantages, I really don't want to leave the team. Although working with Brother Tan was a lot of pressure, it was easy to get into character. He really made me feel like he is my 'Papa', and the father-daughter relationship in the film is a bit like my real story. So it is easy to devote myself to it." Brother Tan said, "She got into it, I wanted her to have 80 points, and she ended up reaching 120 points."

The funny Brother Tan put up a mean look and said, "This movie will show the real Cheng Tan Shui. So naked but great, I can try to play it like this once. It's rare to run into a good script nowadays, and I'm the happiest to encounter a new director. So many noble people have helped me over the past few decades. Today I feel that the time has come for me to help. For anyone who needs me, especially in movies, I will help."

Amy admitted, "I am the most grateful to have been able to work with experienced actors and have learned so much." Liew Chi Yu encouraged her, "You did very well." Jay said, "One of the most memorable scenes was when we had to move metal barrier with Amy and Brother Tan asked me a brain teaser question, which was funny." Amy revealed, "The funniest thing is that even now, Jay still doesn't understand the answer to the brain teaser question."

Stepping on the big screen for the first time, Jay said that he was nervous and excited, and that he felt better than expected, "Although I don't have a lot of scenes, I still can't sleep and have a lot of pressure. I have more scenes with Amy, and working with her is so comfortable. She doesn't mind that I'm not doing well enough, she even encourages me all the time." Amy was flattered, "How can I mind you."
