The movie CESIUM FALLOUT (FUN SING) has radiation as its subject, and the two main plot lines in the movie included the disaster relief process of firefighters and the actions taken by government officials in the face of radiation leakage. One action and one dramatic, both were shot with excitement. The film company boss and producer Bill Kong Chi Keung said that CESIUM FALLOUT cost more than HK$ 100 million Hong Kong to produce. He even bluntly said that the shoot went over budget, but he did not feel the pain because he was able to make a disaster movie. He hoped that the audience aside from enjoying the movie at theaters would also pay attention to the threat of radiation.

CESIUM FALLOUT director Poon Yiu Ming and producer Kong Chi Keung were interviewed a few days ago. Speaking of the filming of CESIUM FALLOUT with radiation as the subject, Kong Chi Keung said that the inspiration of the story originated from a report in 2016 about Hong Kong becoming a global e-waste dump. It attracted Kong Chi Keung's attention. He pointed out that there were many foreign media forwarded the report, but it did not cause an echo in Hong Kong. He was shocked that everyone, including himself, was indifferent to the invisible crisis around them. Thus he wanted to make a movie, not to preach or complain. He just wanted the audience to care more about the people and things around them. Poon Yiu Ming, who won two Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Cinematography and directed ONE MORE CHANCE (BIT GIU NGOR DOH SUN), felt directing a large-scale disaster film this time was a great challenge. "This film was shot completely in Hong Kong, and the most difficult thing was to find locations. Originally we wanted to find a large recycling yard as the main set, which would be more convenient during the shoot; but unfortunately it was difficult to find in Hong Kong. So we ended up shooting in four locations." Kong Chi Keung said that although the production cost went over budget but it is worth it. "When some movies go over budget I would be in pain, but there are only two that I wouldn't. One was ANITA and the other was CESIUM FALLOUT."
