A few days ago, director Anselm Chan Mou Yin, actors Michelle Wai Sze Nga, Catherine Chau Ka Yee and Rachel Leung Yung Ting appeared at the Harbor City THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) film stills exhibition and once again reminisced about a number of selected stills from the movie. The three praised the stills photographer for capturing the realest emotions of the characters at the moment. A poster auction segment also took place during the exhibition, with donations going to the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA). After the event, the winners of the charity auction were presented with certificates of appreciation.
Michelle, Rachel and Chow Ka Yee also shared their post-screening activities experience from different cinemas, and received a lot of touching feedback. Rachel said that she was very touched by a gray-haired female audience member last weekend. "Granny says this movie evokes some memories for her and heals her own experience. After she finishes speaking, we realize that she has seven children and grandchildren behind her to watch wit her. Everyone is crying as they are watching, which makes me feel that they were relieved of something." After listening to this, Ka Yee also said, "The audience needs to be willing to share their personal experiences or what they are experience in front of so many people, I think this is already very moving."
Just returned to Hong Kong from attending the Tokyo Film Festival, Wai Sze Nga shared that the Japanese audience was also very engaged. "I was a little worried at first, will they understand our hell breaking culture? I am so happy that they were just as touched and saw the meaning of this film, which means that this film has become a common language around the world, bringing life through death."
At the end of the event, Wai Sze Nga's fiancé Kenley Chow Tsz On even made a surprise appearance. It turned out that Kenley has bid for a number of movie posters on the event website in order to support Michelle's new work and do good deeds. In the end he received the event notice that he has successfully won the poster bid and was invited to personally attend to confirm his bids. Kenley arrived at the scene after the event and gave Michelle a surprise in a low-key manner. It turned out that this was the first time that a pair of would-be newlyweds appeared in public, which surprised the creators and staff who were unaware of what was happening. Michelle also revealed that she only found out right before attending the event, and even joked, "I never would have guessed that I would personally present the poster to this generous donor!" Kenley's attentive support for Michelle was praised by everyone for being romantic.
