Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yee) recently teamed up with MIRROR member Ian Chan Cheuk Yin and Dior Cheng Yee Kin in the new film LAST SONG FOR YOU (GAU BIT CHUNG FUNG). Playing a leading role for the first time, she and Ian both wore school uniforms. She was praised for her sweet appearance and lively character. She was even praised for her natural acting skills as she successfully took over from her mother Ann Bridgewater (Pak On Nei) and transformed into the "new generation of national first love".
brAfter watching the film, a film critic said that Yan Yee's performance reminded him of Cecilia Cheung Sing Chi in FLY ME TO POLARIS (SING YUEN) and Anita Yuen Wing Yee in C'EST LA VIE MON CHERI (SUN BUT LIU CHING); which were very high praises! Having been in the industry for three years, Yan Yee actually won the "Best Newcomer Award" at the Tokyo Film Festival for her outstanding performance in THE DAY WE LIT UP THE SKY. Earlier she teamed up with Fish Liew Chi Yu to make the film PAVANE FOR AN INFANT in Malaysia, playing the role of a pregnant girl. Many viewers left messages expressing their expectation.
