Andy Lau Tak Wa, Sean Lau Ching Wan, Ron Ng Cheuk Hei, Kenny Wong Tak Bun, and director Herman Yau Lai To two nights ago attended the film SHOCK WAVE 2 (CHAK DAN JUEN GA 2) production wrap banquet and conducted a bomb disposal ceremony on the stage. Director Yau Lai To successfully defused a bomb. Wa Jai said, "This bomb didn't explode, but our movie definitely will!" Wa Jai felt that this film was tougher than the last. He was tied up in a mini bus that was seven stories in the air. On the other hand Ching Wan said that it was not too bad. Wa Jai joked that this proved Ching Wan was in better shape than he was.

Working with Wa Jai again, Ching Wan said that this time was very pleasant. Was the shoot difficult? Ching Wan said that it was not too bad because the director made great arrangements. His time evaluation was very accurate and he was very clear about what needed to be shot, thus the production went very smoothly. However Wa Jai said that this time was tougher than the previous film, perhaps because last time was before his injury. It also proved that Ching Wan was in better shape than he was.

Speaking of the production, Wa Jai said that in one scene a helicopter picked up a mini bus. At first they thought they would at least take four days, but they finished it in one. The most interesting was a lot was beyond their expectation. Ching Wan said that during mark testing the director said that the helicopter would rise to the height of one tire for the shoot, but as soon as they started they were seven stories above. Wa Jai said, "At the time we were trapped in seat belts in the mini bus. The crew did that to keep us from climbing out of the mini bus, but they never thought what they would do if the mini bus fell. We would still be in the mini bus. Haha!"

After completing SHOCK, Wa Jai said that he would not have any job until July when he would promote the film WHITE STORM 2 DRUG LORDS (SO DUK 2 TIN DEI DUI KUET). Did he want to reduce his workload? He said that it was close to in the past, as he would make one or two movies a year. In September he will perform a concert in Malaysia. Did he comfort his friend Sammi Cheng Sau Man over the "On Sum affair"? Wa Jai said, "We would talk about that personally." As for Ching Wan, after the shoot he would take a vacation with his wife.

In addition, Anthony Wong Chau Sun earlier at the 21st Udine Far East Film Festival received the Golden Mulberry Award for Outstanding Achievement. Would he take Chau Sun to dinner to celebrate? Ching Wan said, "He should ask us to celebrate." Wa Jai agreed, "You are right, he should treat us. He made so many movies because we kept supporting him. I saw all of his speech. He should take us to dinner." Ching Wan said, "I agree."

Chau Sun said that he would consider changing to a bonus standard. Would Wa Jai use it next time he would work with Chau Sun? Wa Jai said, "I pay the highest salary, you name your price and I pay you! (Chau Sun said that bonus may pay even more?) Don't you believe that, I am not Winnie (film company executive). She can give it to you, but I can't."

As for paying bonus instead, Ching Wan felt tha each person's choice would be different. He would try to be simple and clear. "After I get it I leave. (Is Chau Sun not afraid of people owing him money?) No one should mind money issue, when a script is right people would very naturally step into it."

Ng Cheuk Hei pointed out that this film has been happier than the first film because he had a larger role. Did he get hurt? He said a little. "In one scene I didn't know I have to hurdle a barrier outside IFC until I got there, not to mention several barriers in a row. During the shoot I didn't know. When I got home I realized I was hurt on the calf. In another gun fight I didn't wear additional padding and hurt my hand."

He said that this time he was very happy to have many scenes with Ching Wan and even took the chance to take pictures. He said, "If I can I would like to get (Tony) Leung Chiu Wai another time. Earlier we worked together on WHERE THE WIND BLOWS (FUNG JOI HEI SI). I of course want to collect Fat Gor (Chow Yun Fat) the most."

Wong Tak Bun said that at TVB he never worked with Ching Wan. This time he had many scenes with him. When not in a shot watching him act was a pleasure.

Irene Wan Bik Ha, Alice Chan Wai and Golden Horse Best Actor Eddie Chan (Ai Dik) worked together on Emperor motion picture THE FALLEN (DOR LOK FA). In the story Irene was dragged and the trio had a "negotiation" scene. They shot in a dark alley, which was filled with puddles from the rain. Despite the poor environment they still focused on their performance. In the film Irene often received violent treatment from the high ranking police officer Wai Gor, as she slapped her, pulled her hair and waterboarded her. Wai Gor said that she was reluctant but Irene encouraged her to "thoroughly perform". "I encouraged her to hit hard. Then it would feel solid and real. The most important is the result looks real. I feel this role truly is very challenging."

Retired from show business for years, Ai Dik revealed that for years he has been making his home all over. "After the injury I didn't make more movies. I went to Taiwan and lived there for 11 years and in England for a year. Now I am settled in San Francisco and in the trading business. This time I am back in Hong Kong for 5 weeks, luckily someone is helping me with the business over there. After the Thailand location shoot I will fly back to the U.S." He also pointed out that since being on stage for the 50th anniversary Golden Horse Award, many have invited him to return to film. "I have already made a few, only they haven't been released yet. I am just having a little fun with the acting bug. (Are you planning a comeback?) No, I am rooted and settled over there. I would rather fly back when I would have a movie."

In addition, Wai Gor earlier at the costume fitting did not have a chance to enjoy Ai Dik's classic film MAN ON THE BRINK (BIN YUEN YUN). He two nights ago immediately presented an autographed DVD to Wai Gor. Speaking of her role, Wai Gor said, "Ai Dik Gor Gor is very gentle, I am very nervous to work with a hunk." Ai Dik joked, "How would I be willing to kill a pretty girl? Why don't we change that to spoil her to death." When Wai Gor heard that he started in 1973 she said with surprise, "I was just born that year!"

The Hong Kong Film Award ended last month. The event's annual project of social responsibility Hong Kong Film Awards Caring continued. Keeping his promise, Hong Kong Film Awards Caring ambassador Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and friend Miriam Yeung Chin Wa invited the five children of "Children With Dreams" to a pizza meal.

This year's Hong Kong Film Awards Caring ambassador Kwok Fu Sing earlier at the event promised to take the "Children With Dreams" for pizza. Earlier he had a day off and fulfilled his promise. He met with his friend Yeung Chin Wa, five children and their families to a typical neighborhood pizza shop in San Po Kong for a taste of pizza and pasta while sharing thoughtful gifts that Aaron and Chin Wa have prepared for them. Among them many encouraged them to study hard and be someone who would keep their promises. While everyone had fun, the children also shared their hopes. Aaron and Chin Wa both said, "Seeing the children and their families dining together, that joy absolutely makes people feel extra warm. Today's meal is very memorable and also very valuable and happy." Yeung Chin Wa encouraged the children to not only learn from Sing Sing Gor Gor to be strong but also ask them to make a promise: put an effort into their education and bravely chase their dreams.

[2019.05.09] UFC CHAMPION ANDERSON SILVA FIGHTS MAX ZHANG

The film INVINCIBLE DRAGON (GAU LUNG BUK BAI) asked the UFC known as "Spider-Man" Anderson Silva to star. For his first Hong Kong film Silva's firs scene was a big fight with Max Zhang Jin at the Lau Fau Shan police station. Not know did they have continuous close combat, in one scene Silva was smashed onto a floor full of pins.

Actually because Anderson Silva's native tongue was Portuguese, during the shoot he had certain difficulties communicating with the action director and the director. However he tried to communicate with everyone in English in order to achieve his best. When asked about his knowledge of Hong Kong film, Silva said that he has always liked Hong Kong kung fu action films very much. "I saw (Stephen) Tung Wai and Bruce Lee's photo, so it was incredible that he would ask me to work with him. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity. He is very experienced, from him I was able to learn a lot."

In the film "Spider-Man" Silva's main opponent was Zhang Jin. Silva was also very grateful to Zhang Jin for his help. "I am very happy to be able to work with Zhang Jin. I have already seen his movies. This time in terms of film visuals and camera angles, Zhang Jin helped me a lot. In addition when we worked together I could see his enthusiasm for work and his respect for his co-stars." Zhang Jin also had nothing but praise for Silva. "Anderson Silva's punches are very strong, but he is very nice. Like his character, although he is a villain he still is someone full of humanity."

[2019.05.08] LOUIS FAN IS MORE CAREFUL WITH ACTION SCENES AFTER MARRIAGE

Louis Fan Siu Wong yesterday attended an event. He said that he returned from Hengdian to support his disciples. After the event he would return to Hengdian to continue work on the film LUNG FU SHAN CHEUNG TIN SI. In it he played Cheung Tin Si. Constantly working on action films, he admitted that after marriage he would be more careful with action scenes to keep wife JJ Jia from worrying.

Focusing in recent years on Mainland work, he constantly had to commute between the Mainland and Hong Kong. He revealed that sometimes when he worked elsewhere, his wife would bring their daughter along so he could see them when he was not at work. She would also be able to take care of his everyday life. He said that his daughter was already very vain at 17 months. He already knew to try on Mommy's high heels and clothes. Would his daughter study in the Mainland or Hong Kong? He said that he has not decided yet.
