[2018.01.26] YURI CHAN PREPARES FOR A "MERMAID" CONTEST

Yuri Chan Yui Yui, Brian Wong Chak Fung, director Alex Cheung Kwok Ming and others two nights ago attended the Tony Leung Hung Wah produced film IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE (MO HOR NUNG)'s premiere. Yui Yui revealed that the film was made three years ago and it was about dance. In the films she played a dream chasing girl who was also swindled in love. As two girls fought over a guy, she also had a suicide scene. Has she run into such problems in real life? She said that she has not. Her relationships have been very simple. Did the suicide scene affect her emotions? She said, "I wasn't upset. In the story my family went bankrupt so I cut my wrist. Before hand I tried many ways to play the wrist cutting scene. The producer taught me how to do it."

Yui Yui also revealed that lately she has been busy with the preparation for a "mermaid" competition. A press conference will take place in February. She would ask Wilson Chin Kwok Wai and Joyce Tung Lai Ming for help and promote ocean preservation at the same time. As for qualifications, Yui Yui said, "First you can't be afraid of water, and you have to preservation knowledge. (Would you personally demonstrate and instruct?) I studied for a year, I might not teach personally. However I would host. Demonstration in swimsuit would be inevitable, so I have to box to lose weight."

The Lunar New Year film A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT (NUI DIK CHING DIK NUI SAI) will officially open on February 15th, the Lunar New Year's Eve. Lead actress Carina Lau Ka Ling said that this Lunar New Year film has been very pleasant, working with a group of first time collaborators or old partners on a Lunar New Year comedy set off a lo of spark. As for working on comedy again, she stated that it was exciting and very fun. She even praised Bob (Lam Sing Bun) as hilarious. She said that another reward of this production was able to see and catch up with many old friends, like Chun Wong, Nina Paw Hee Ching and Patrick Tse Yin. Lau Ka Ling even revealed that she looked forward very much to this Lunar New Year comedy to surprise everyone and welcome the Year of the Dog with the audience joyfully!

    According to the laws of Afterlife, all deceased must go through 7 trials over 49 days divided into 7 sin categories: betrayal, violence, filial piety, murder, indolence, deceit, and injustice. Once the deceased clears all 7 trials, he can be reincarnated and start a new life. "Mr. Kim Ja-hong, you died as expected without complications." Having died unexpectedly at a scene of fire while trying to save a little girl, firefighter Ja-hong is taken to the purgatory by 3 Afterlife guardians – Kang-lim, Hewonmak and Deok-choon. As the first paragon in 19 years, he must go through 7 trials over 49 days in order to be reincarnated. The 3 guardians were promised of reincarnation as well by King Yeomra, who rules the Afterlife, if they successfully defend 49 souls and do their best defend Ja-hong’s innocence in trials as their 48th client. His journey progresses without a hitch, until his brother Su-hong, who died begrudgingly, has turned into a Vengeful Spirit and begins attacking the Afterlife, thereby interrupting Ja-hong’s trial. Through the course of this battle, hidden facts surrounding Su-hong’s death are uncovered and proof of Ja-hong's innocence is now uncertain. Risking their own fate in the Afterlife, the 3 guardians fight to reincarnate both brothers.

[2018.01.25] LAM SUET IS HOSPITALIZED AFTER A LOVE SCENE?

The Dayo Wong Tze Wah and Charmaine Sheh Sze Man starred Lunar New Year film AGENT MR. CHAN (DUNG DUK DUT GUNG) had many guest stars, including the heavyweight Lam Suet. Last year Lam Suet with TRIVISA (SHU DAI JIU FUNG) won the 11th Asian Film Award Best Supporting Actor. During his interview he revealed that after making AGENT he got dizzy and went to the hospital to get checked out perhaps due to inner ear imbalance. The scene that got Lam Suet hospitalized was unveiled yesterday. Actually at the time he worked on a scene in which he was caught dancing with a hot girl in bed. She was in lingerie and Lam Suet almost lost his pants and his breath from dancing. He said, "After dancing I can't do anything, I haven't done anything in bed for years!" Before the shoot he humorously cursed and jokingly stuffed a sock into his onscreen wife's mouth. He never expected to get dizzy after taking his mark and dance. Luckily he was fine.

The film STAYCATION (YUT GA DAI SAI) two nights ago held a charity premiere. Director and actor Johnson Lee, actors Tommy Tam (Ti Lung), Louisa So Yuk Wa, Law Kar Ying, Chin Siu Ho and Andrew Lam Man Chung attended, as well as his fellow "Gods" Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen Siu Cheung, Michael Hui Koon Man, Liza Wang Ming Chuen, Nancy Sit Ka Yin, Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, Frankie Lam Man Lung, Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Nat Chan Pak Cheung, Louisa Mak Ming Sze and James Ng Yip Kwan.

Johnson Lee directed for the first time and starred. He admitted the entire matter was very touching. "I feel like I am already mature, I have been waiting for a chance. Although in the past I have made mistakes, they also changed me to become the me now. Tonight proves people would help me and support me!" He said that directing had a lot to keep an eye on, even harder than being an actor. However he was able to satisfy his movie bug. This time the script took several months, he also spent a month to convince So Yuk Wa. Because she was a good actress, before taking the role she wanted to see the script first. Ah So admitted that she would never accept roles randomly, but this time she liked this script. Law Kar Ying, Mak Cheung Ching, Margiela K (Kwok Sze Lam), Ken Wong Tak Bun two nighs ago attended the production wrap banquet for their film SAI FONG YAU GEI ji TONG JUNG CHAI CHOR GAI. Brother Kar Ying thought his wife Liza Wang Ming Chuen's comments was too mild mannered and not extreme enough. She should have said it like it was. In the film Brother Kar Ying and Kwok Sze Lam had a mouth to mouth Chinese shortbread eating scene. Kwok Sze Lam said that she did not dare to post the photo online as she did not want to anger Ah Jeh. Brother Kar Ying said, "She wouldn't be mad. Ah Jeh might think it wasn't extreme enough, not to mention it wasn't a real kiss."

Ah Jeh's "partisanship" comment became to town of the town. Brother Kar Ying said, "I think she wasn't extreme enough, she should daringly tell it like it is. The program is live and wouldn't be cut. She was too mild mannered, she should have directly yelled, for the good of TVB you should listen to me, at the very least I have been with TVB for 50 years. We should hire more people back, the salary can't be too low otherwise talent would be lost. Now many people are going to work in the Mainland, how big of a deal are you. They are for the good of the company and of themselves. Actors have it the worst. The company should give them chances, they don't make money unless they go outside and fight."

Mak Cheung Ching said, "I heard cheers in the audience. In every company unity is the most important, without any divisions. Ah Jeh is the most qualified to talk, she represents the artists. I believe the boss heard her." As for the award results, Mak Bau was happy for Best Actress Natalie Tong Sze Wing and Most Improved Mayanne Mak. He too wanted to win the host award, but how could he compare to Sister Dodo (Carol Cheng Yui Ling). He was already happy that he got an award that night. As Bobby Auyeung Chun Wa said, if you do your best, Heaven would definitely reward you.
