The first movie starred MIRROR, WE 12 (12 GWAI TO) ruled over the Easter weekend. The 12 members divided up several hundred audience appreciation shows to pump up the box office. With the strong support from MIROs, many shows were sold out. Over the Easter weekend WE 12 over 4 days made HK$ 13,206,877 and crushed GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE's $ 9,818,598 and KUNG FU PANDA 4's $ 5,379,676. MIRROR earlier began their North American concert tour, WE 12 audience appreciation shows came to a temporary stop and the box office has been affected; however on the 23rd the "WE 12 GROUP SOUL MEETING" would take place. With the ticket stub they would enter a lucky drawing for a chance to win a ticket for the event. Some MIROS in order to gain greater chances to win created the WE 12 "shows for the gods" phenomenon.

The WE 12 "shows for the gods" video led to hot debate online, feeling that they disrespected the film's cast and crew. Some said that anyone who liked film would have heartache. Who was at fault? The blind fans? Or the company that only cared about making money? Some commented, "Who is so gross to buy tickets for phantoms please confess", "Supporting idols have to be a physical act! I sincerely don't encourage these shows for the gods to appear in the film market". Some suggested for fans to crowd fund shows for seniors, as charity shows would be better than shows for the gods.

Some Keung Candies (Keung To fans) posted that the shows for the gods were not done by them. Because on the day of the meeting the Keung To fan club would host a birthday event at Ocean Park. Everyone would have to celebrate Keung To's birthday and do charity work, so they would not fight for meeting tickets like this. However some Miro posted, "I myself have bought tickets and not go many times, I am also proud of that. This is supporting my idol, to let investors know that he has box office draw. Enough show numbers have to be maintained, otherwise the movie would be cut very quickly. I feel this movie deserves even higher box office, so I would do my best to support it."
