The TVB Awards 2024 was held last night at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort in Macau. Best Actor and Best Actress went to Owen Cheung Chun Long and Katy Kung Ka Yan. Cheung Chun Long also won the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Actor" to become the double Best Actor. Donnie Yen Chi Tan served as the guest presenter for the "Best Series", which finally went to NO ROOM FOR CRIME. NO ROOM FOR CRIME also won "Best Actor", "Best Supporting Actor", "Best Supporting Actress" and other awards to become the big winner this year.

Yen Chi Tan was the guest presenter for the "Best Series". He praised all the award-winning and nominated artists for their own unique charm, and also spent a lot of time creating characters that were deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. So they were all worthy of congratulations, and they were all very powerful artists in his mind. He would be looking forward to everyone's even more exciting works in the future. He pointed out that he has not returned to TVB for a long time. He also pointed out that this day was his daughter's 21st birthday, so he took the opportunity to say happy birthday to his daughter. He continued to point out that he has made many TVB dramas more than 30 years ago, and could fully understand how much effort it takes to be an artist. Hard work, talent, script, team, opportunities and timing are all indispensable, so everyone was a very powerful person. Cheung Chun Long won the "Best Actor" for NO ROOM FOR CRIME. He was so excited that he cried after learning of the award. He received the award from Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung and Gallen Lo (Law Ka Leung) and tearfully said, "I told myself not to cry, but I really couldn't hold it back. Thank you very much to every person who has given me an opportunity. I am very happy to receive the award from the hands of Lai Yiu Cheung and Law Ka Leung. 6 years of television Best Actors presented the award to me! No one can tell me how much time I have left in the circle, because it is very hard to guess. I can only enjoy every moment of acting. This award is so heavy, I promise everyone that I definitely would keep working hard. Acting is my life, thank you!"

Kung Ka Yan won the "Best Actress" with BIG BIZ DUEL, beating the popular DARKSIDE OF THE MOON's Yeung Sin Hiu and Rosina Lam Ha Mei for her first television Best Actress and successfully completed the performing art grand slam. Kung Ka Yan said, "Thank you to the company for 16 years of cultivation! I feel I am very similar to Fong Fong (the character in the show), I started in TVB at the age of 19, have encountered many opportunities along the way and many good people who have helped me. Thank you to everyone who has given me the opportunity!" She also thanked the cast and crew of BIG BIZ DUEL, Grace Chan Hoi Lam, Zoie Tam Hoi Ki and other friends in the entertainment industry. "Thank you Lai Yiu Cheung for teaching me what is the professionalism of an actor. For DEATH BY ZERO he in over 30 degree (Celsius) carried a fake belly, ran on the streets many times and still had no complaint. Cheung Chun Long also won the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Actor". He sentimentally said, "Over a decade isn't a long time but isn't a short time either. Actually there is hope, if you want it you can!" He even thanked each and every amily member for their support over the years. Cheung Hei Man with BIG BIZ DUEL won the "Malaysia Favorite TVB actress". She emotionally said, "I grew up in the BIG DUEL universe, which has made me what I am today. I want to thank my benefactor Law Wing Yin, over the years when he made a BIG DUEL series he has never left me behind. This award also belongs to my parents." Later she even thanked her boyfriend Mark in English for being her strongest supporter. BIG BIZ DUEL also won the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB series".

The show was kicked off with a musical number. Aside from "STARS Academy" singers like Archie Sin Ching Fung, Aska Cheung Chi Ho, Sherman Poon Ching Man, Chiu Chung Yi, and MIDLIFE SING AND SHINE! representatives Albert Chau Kat Pui, Tam Fai Chi and others, Hera Chan Hiu Wah, Kelly Fu Ka Lai, Carmen Kwan Ka Man, Liu Wai Yee, Nicholas Yuen Ho Chun, and Rachel Chan Yi Tak also performed. The Tavia Yeung Sin Hiu starred DARKSIDE OF THE MOON not only won the "Greater Bay Area's Favorite TVB Drama", but also brought her the "Greater Bay Area's Favorite TVB Actress" award, while Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming won the "Greater Bay Area's Favorite TVB Actor" with AIRPORT DIARY and received the award from the hands of "relative" Tong Chun Yip.

Yeung Sin Hiu got choked up and said, "12 years ago I stood on this award stage and said that I would keep working hard. 12 years later I changed to a new name and stand here again, changed to a new image and hoped that my children would be proud of me. Thank you my husband, with you here I feel I can do even better in a lot of things. I am ready, anyone with a series can ask me!"

Ma Kwok Ming won the "Greater Bay Area's Favorite TVB Actor" for AIRPORT DIARY, completing his best actor Grand Slam after the Best Actor and last year's "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Actor". He humorously said, "I hope that more organizations would work with TVB, I wouldn't mind making FERRY DIARY, MTR DIARY. In the New Year remember to watch me and Ko Hoi Ning's QUEEN OF MAHJONG (MA JEUK NUI WONG JUI NAM JAI)!" Ma Kwok Ming and Yeung Sin Yiu were later interviewed backstage, and Ma Kwok Ming recreated his classic naturally stunned expression at the moment when the award was announced. He explained that because he did not expect to win the award. Because the drama was broadcast in January last year, it was rare for a drama series to still win an award after a year. He would like to thank his friends in the Greater Bay Area for voting for him. Waise Lee Chi Hung and Roy Cheung Yiu Yeung presented the TVB Leaping Improvement Male and Female Artist" awards. "Leaping Male Artist" went to Leung Shun Yin's grandson Nicholas Yuen Ho Chung. He was emotional on stage, admitting that he would be self confident but not self satisfied. Winning the "Leaping Female Artist" was Hera Chan Hiu Wah, who was promoted to the lead of many series in recent years. She said, "Thank you to so many producers, behind the scenes staff, directors who walked this journey with me. Everyone is like a family. Thank you Lam Chi Wah, many years ago you have already given me a lot of encouragement. This award to me is a blessing, a great, great encouragement. I hope in the future I would be able to continue to be a good actor with this award, working very hard to march forward. "Best Male Newcomer" went to Cheung Chi Ho. As soon as he reached the stage he had a small request. He hoped that everyone would give the Best Newcomer nominated artists a round of applause, because everyone worked very hard. He also thanked TVB executives including Elaine Lok Yi Ling. "Thank you Ms. Lok. I really remember that the first time I met you, I broke my nose from soccer. Benz Hui Siu Hung and Irene Wan Bik Ha presented the "Best Supporting Actor". She said, "I want to thank one person, Sister Chun where are you?" Winning the award for the first time, he was stuttering and his hands were shaking on stage like he did not dare to believe what just happened. He said that he has never thought about winning at all and ridiculed himself as a "rice ball" before. He thanked Sister Chun for never giving up on him and putting him in many series for him to build a good foundation. He also thanked Director Kai and Mama in Heaven. "Thank you Chung Shu Kai, I don't know how to break through. I wasn't confident in all the character, but you gave me the confidence." Deric Wan Siu Lun and Maggie Siu Mei Kei presented the "Best Supporting Actress", and Kelly Fu Ka Lai won for the first time with NO ROOM FOR CRIME. As soon as she came on stage, she was very excited and said, "Thank you Sister Chun (Tsang Lai Chun) for telling me to come back, I want to tell Sister Chun Sorry. Former co-stars Deric Wan Siu Lun and Maggie Siu Mei Kei joked that they have rarely been guest presenters and had to encourage each other on stage, because their legs were shaking from being so nervous. Although the two have not seen each other for 20 years, Wan Siu Lun said that everyone has kept in touch and he also prepared two gold cards for Siu Mei Kei's upcoming birthday. Not appearing together for a long time, Marianne Chan Miu Ying and Anne Heung Hoi Lan presented the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Actor and Actress" that night, respectively NO ROOM FOR CRIME's Owen Cheung Chun Long and BIG BIZ DUEL's Kelly Cheung Hei Man won their first Malaysian TV Best Actor and Actress, BIG BIZ DUEL also won the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Drama". As for the "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Variety and Informational Program", the variety program SUPER TRIO won. Eric Tsang Chi Wai along with senior brother Chin Kar Lok, Mayanne Mak Mei Yan, Kirby Lam Sau Yi, Niklas Lam Ching Fung and the producer took the stage to receive the award. Chi Wai said, "No one on the street calls me Tsang Chi Wai, so SUPER TRIO has given a lot to me."

Once saying that she would celebrate with her wedding after winning the Best Actress award, Cheung Hei Man "moved the goal post" and said that she meant that the Hong Kong TV Best Actor award. She asked her boyfriend to keep waiting, but her boyfriend was also used to her often changing her mind.

On the red carpet Jinny Ng Yeuk Hei revealed that she tripped on the way in, luckily Edwin Siu Ching Nam caught her. Ah Siu joked that because his wife Priscilla Wong Chui Yu constantly tripped, so he was well trained. Ah Siu also joked that many feathers were lost on Ng Yeuk Hei's dress train when she got into the car. He worried that she would very quickly "lose all the feather".
