Ronald Cheng Chung Kei last year announced the termination of his cooperation with "Mobile Television RTV" last year after discovering that his manager Ho Hing Seung had "problems with his work and ethics". Then he decided to take a break due to alcohol abuse and went to the United States for treatment with alcoholics.

After almost half a month of suspension from work, Ronald made his "heavyweight" return as the revenge action film he and Mark Wu Yiu Fai co-directed ATONEMENT (AH LUNG) would open in April in Hong Kong. Ronald said, "Aside from six days of training a week, I would continue to work out everyday after returning to the hotel after filming. The film's trailer and poster were released yesterday. The production was completed as early as 2018 but has never been released. 7 years later it would finally open. The idea of the movie came from community news. Some negative incidents that targeted children left me frightened as a father, so I wanted to create a story and clicked right away with Director Wu Yiu Fai." Fu Shun Ying played his daughter. She played Ga Ga in LITTLE BIG MASTER (5 GOR SIU HAI DIK HAU JEUNG).
