Guy group MIRROR member Edan Lui Cheuk On, Chung Suet Ying, Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling) and Jiro Lee Sheung Ching starred Lunar New Year film THE SNOWBALL IN A SUNNY DAY (GUM DOR BO) unveiled its poster. In the film Kam Yin Ling asked her granddaughter Chung Suet Ying to play the same lottery numbers for over a decade, but Chung Suet Ying was unable to place the bet for the Lunar New Year jackpot and lost HK$ 88.88 million. Chung Suet Ying in order to keep from shattering Grandma's dream borrowed a villa from a movie set colleague and lied about buying it with the winning. After the family moved in their estranged relationships gradually thawed.

THE SNOWBALL IN A SUNNY DAY director Philip Yung Tsz Kwong through the "winning but did not buy the ticket" absurd setting told the importance of family and a very "Hong Kong" story. "Some said that they were reminded of the hit film IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD (FU GWAI BIK YUN), which I really liked too, especially the satirical part. THE SNOWBALL IN A SUNNY DAY's story development of course was not a simple comedy story. I believe it would give everyone many surprises, especially several stars' performance was better than expected."

The team shot on location at a villa worth HK$ 100 million. The environment was elegant, with a comfortable garden, private swimming pool and beautiful scenery. Embraced by the hills, the "suddenly rich" absurd comedy atmosphere appeared. Edan said with a smile: "The idea of borrowing the villa is very funny, the villa environment has triggered a lot of different jokes. I even have to play the butler, which is very challenging. Filming in the villa everyday, I already feel like I have won the lottery."

Kam Yin Ling encountered a typhoon at the beginning of the production, which made the schedule tighter. In addition she suffered a back injury at the time, so she also felt pain when she started working. She was very grateful for the cast and the crew to do their best and finish every scene together to catch up.
