Raymond Lam Fung visited Taiwan again after many years to thank the audience for his movie BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI), which attracted a large number of media interviews when he attended a press conference there yesterday. Regarding playing the same role again after 25 years and reuniting with his co-stars, he joked, "It's nice to see a lot of actors back then, it feels like a dream." He played the role of "Emperor Qin" in the film and was domineering. He revealed that in reality he had encountered fans who asked him to say "presumptuous" to them, which made Lam Fung smile bitterly and said, "Everyone is masochistic, and I finally said 'drag them out for beheading'." The audience burst into laughter!

Lam Fung claimed that no "ordinary subject" recognized him. He said frankly that he would like to thank the management company, the boss and co-star Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai), saying that he has been like a teacher and a friend for many years. He would even carefully help him choose the script. "He is really my master. I rehearsed with him a lot back then. I was stupid and didn't know what I was acting, and he taught me a lot of things." Sepaking of Goo Jai's strong aura, he explained on his behalf, "That's not called scary, it's called respectable. Of course when I first entered the industry, I was afraid of him and trembled; but later he became my great boss and big brother, and I had more respect when I saw his enthusiasm."

Lam Fung pointed out that the last time he visited Taiwan was before he got married, when he and his wife Carina Zhang Xinyue went on vacation to Kaohsiung and Kenting. They once encountered a typhoon and the hotel also advised them to cancel the reservation, but Lam Fung felt that "since they were already here" they continued the trip. The two had a romantic and thrilling journey. Due to the tight schedule this time, he could not go shopping and try the food. He could only enjoy beef noodles at the hotel for fun. After returning to Hong Kong today he will continue to shoot new films, and after the Lunar New Year he will start preparing for the sequel to TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI WAI SING).
