Fish Liew Chi Yu won the Hong Kong Film Critics Society's Best Actress for the first time this year, and was recently nominated for "Best Actress" at the "44th Hong Kong Film Awards". Earlier she accepted Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum)'s online program Director Sum Casting's interview, sharing her experience of working in Hong Kong. In 2013, she made her first movie DOOMSDAY PARTY (MOOT YUT PAI DUI), which required a nude performance. She bluntly said that after a lot of struggle she took the role. In one of the scenes wearing only a bra and underwear, she was bullied by a child gang. She said, "As soon as the director yelled cut, a lot of people brought towels to wrap around me." The feeling was warm.
Fish played the charming "mamasan" in the new film "NIGHT KING (YEH WONG)", thinking she was very gentle. Yet in the first scene where she appeared in high heels, she was criticized by the director for walking like a marching soldier. She took almost 3 hours to put on makeup every time. Because the facial features were not soft, she had to redraw them. When she was in school, she saw Louis Koo Tin Lok's glasses advertisement poster everyday on the way home. She would chat with the poster every day, but she did not expect to become an artist of his company.
