Mary Jean Reimer (Yung Jing Jing)'s YouTube channel program "Dangerous People 2.0" recently interviewed Shirley Yim (Suet Lei). They have known each other for 47 years. The two are of similar age, have similar early life trajectories; both debuted as minors, and both have experienced love with older men, early marriage, and childbirth. On the program they talked from their views on love to their harsh past in show business and revealed secrets. Claiming to have regretting falling in love Lau Kar Leung, Yung Jing Jing aid that a director once threatened her with a gun and attempted to violate her. Suet Lei was drunk when a television station executive groped her, luckily Wong Shu Tong intervened. Yung Jing Jing asked Suet Lei whether she had any ambiguity with Jackie Chan? She avoided answering and asked, "What business is that of yours?" In addition, Tang Siu Juen responded to the unspoken rules of the entertainment industry on "3 Treasure Channel" yesterday, saying that a TV station producer took him to a night club.
Suet Lei said that when she first met Yung Jing Jing in the TV station's dressing room, the first thing Yung said was, "I'm not afraid of you, I'll call my mother!" Suet Lei also replied, "I'm not afraid if you call your mother to come, let's go out and have a fight!" Nothing came of the incident; later Suet Lei knew that someone was sowing discord, and Yung Jing Jing misunderstood that Suet Lei was talking bad about her behind her back. Suet Lei clarified that when she saw Yung Ching Ching's photo, praised her for being beautiful but not going to school was a pity, but someone distorted what she said and claimed that she accused Yung Jing Jing of stealing the role. Later they made up and even became good friend with the just as strong willed Isabella Wong Man Ying.
Yung Jing Jing said that Wong Man Ying faded out of the film circle after making the movie PROJECT A, and the rumored in the circle was that the actresses who have worked with Jackie Chan have had scandals, but certainly Wong Man Ying was an exception because she would resist to the end. Yung Jing Jing said that the road to enmity with Jackie Chan was narrow, and reiterated when she helped Elaine Wu Yi Lee seek justice, but Suet Lei seemed avoidant and said, "Skip!" Yung said, "Should I be afraid that he has teeth? He's older than us, and his teeth all fell out." Yung asked Suet Lei if Jackie Chan has harassed her back then? Suet Lei said, "What business is that of yours? (There are rumors about you) You ask the one spreading rumors to tell." Yung said that consensual relationship was fine, but if he must not force others to comply. Suet Lei agreed and said, "I can't be forced."
The two talked about their underage debut on the show and had unpleasant experiences; Yung Jing Jing said that she had just finished filming ENCORE (HOK CHOI). Once she went to the bar of the Excelsior Hotel with Teddy Robin Kwan and others to listen to jazz. Teddy Robin asked a fellow director to take Yung Jing Jing home first, but the director did not take her home but to his residence. He also got handsy with her in the vehicle, and even took out a gun to threaten her; Yung Jing Jing did not submit and started fighting with him. She claimed to have studied kung fu, described the director as short in stature, warned him that she was underage and he would go to jail if he succeeded. In the end she escaped and doubled back to the hotel to tell Teddy Robin that she ran into a rapist.
Suet Lei's experience is similar to Yung Jing Jing's, saying that when she went to a nightclub with a large group of people. She was drunk and lying on the sofa when a TV executive at the time groped her. Luckily Wong Shu Tong stood up, yelled, "You are messing with a little girl?" and punched him, allowing her to retreat with all of herself.
Yung Jing Jing fell in love with Lau Kar Leung, who was more than 30 years older than her; and Suet Lei and Norman Chui Siu Keung were also more than ten years apart in their romance; Yung Jing Jing recalled the past and regretted, "These old men, they were adults and we were kids. They shouldn't take advantage of us like this, no matter how much we like you, you have to reject us." Yung Jing Jing watched the movie "LOLITA" a few years ago and felt that even if she wanted to escape what happened to the female protagonist, the man always had a way to keep her; making her seem to be in a predicament from which she could not get out of and she stayed until the end out of loyalty. Looking back on this relationship, Yung Jing Jing said that she regretted it. She felt that it was a super negative teaching material, and was glad that her later study of law created another world.
Suet Lei said that she has never regretted falling in love with Chui Siu Keung, "I love him the most", and believed that various experiences have created her resilient self now. Yung Jing Jing recalled that not long after Suet Lei gave birth to her daughter, they met at a wedding banquet and could not help but tell Suet Lei that she witnessed Chui Siu Keung hugging another woman. Suet Lei emphasized that her final decision to break up with Chui Siu Keung was not based on Yung Jing Jing's whistleblowing, but the result of her personal search for the truth. Suet Lei also mentioned that her ex-fiancé Lo Wai Lik married Wong Man Ying, joked that she had inadvertently become their matchmaker and had no grudge against each other.
In addition to Yung Jing Jing and Suet Lei, Tang Siu Juen also talked about the unspoken rules of the entertainment industry on "3 Treasure Channel" yesterday, saying that actresses will take the initiative to cling to the high-ranking officials. Earlier at an industry insider's event he witnessed a new female star with her eyes on a married producer, but was unable to close the deal and switched her target to the director. He saw them leave in pair and had no idea where they went. Siu Juen also said that when he first joined the TV station, he was twenty-four or twenty-five years old. A producer asked him to go for a drink together after work at 1 a.m., they ended up in a night club and he asked Siu Juen to pay the bill/ The amount was his salary for several months. He went home and told his father, and Brother Cheung (Sun Ma Si Tsang) called him dumb.
