The "Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild" recently announced the nominations for the "2025 Best Film Character Award", actress Louise Wong Dan Nei and Fish Liew Chi Yu have been inseparable since their collaboration in the movie ANITA. This time they each were nominated for the top 5 with their starring films, and would battle SHE'S GOT NO NAME's Zhang Ziyi, Nick Cheung Ka Fai and others.
Wong Dan Nei did not hesitate to cut her hair for AGAINST ALL ODDS, and the gender neutral appearance and touch performance in the film left a deep impression. She said happily after learning that she was nominated. "I am very surprised and honored! The resilience, bravery and strength of the character 'Third Sister' also encouraged me and led me to continue my journey as an actress and humbly work hard." Competing for this year's Hong Kong Film Awards with the role of a cerebral palsy patient, Fish Liew Chi Yu was seen as the favorite and very happy to be nominated. She thanked director Tam Wai Ching for creating the role and the two became friends because of their collaboration, which could be consider a win win.
