Stephy Tang Lai Yan would work with Best Actor Simon Yam Tat Wa for the first time, playing father and daughter who are full of conflict in a love hate relationship. This time Stephy even gained weight for the role.

Stephy earlier went on vacation in Japan to recharge and ate like mad. After returning to Hong Kong she immediately jumped into the new film production, even posting a "spoiler" on social media, "For this character I hope to be a little fatter and a little rounder, which I feel would be more suitable for the role!" Reportedly, after around 13 years in film, Stephy finally had the opportunity to work with great actor Yam Tat Wa. Their family film HUNG DAU (RED BEAN) earlier has already begun production under a low profile and even shot many night shoots. No wonder earlier when she got a day off, she was still busy sharing the "good news".

This time Stephy in the film would play a heiress of a Kowloon City Tongsui shop that was known for its red bean soup. Originally chasing her dreams, she was demanded by "Papa" Yam Tat Wa to give it up and return to help out at the Tongsui shop. Hence a strong conflict between father and daughter was created. Later the two and Stephy's "little brother" Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun teamed up, but unfortunately the environment change made business no longer what it was. The family of three in order to protect their "home" gave their all, through which brought the never give up, never surrender spirit of Hong Kong people. The film company even called in all the favors and invited a group of good actors including Mimi Kung Chi Yan, Fung So Bo and Fong Ping to perform.

Some said that HUNG would be an extension of the also Yam Tat Wa starred ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW. In 2010 ECHOES won the Berlin Film Festival Generation Kplus Best Feature Film Crystal Bear. Still a new comer then, Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) thus rose to fame. Yam Tat Wa even with the film won the Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actor, no wonder this time the entire team was full of confidence and hoped that HUNG would be able to continue the success. Yam Tat Wa said in a simple response, "Right now I am working day and nght, I play a professional Tongsui master."
