The 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards would take place on the 14th next month. 5 Best New Performer nominees Sabrina Ng Bing, Rondi Chan Lok Ting, Vanora Hui Yuet Sheung, Curtis Ho Pak Lim and Tse Wing Yan's photos were unveiled yesterday. This year child actors were again nominated, the 10 year old Chan Lok Ting, who in BAND FOUR (4 PAK 4 GA JOOK) played a genius drummer with a sincere mother and son relationship with Kay Tse On Kay; and the 12 year old Ho Pak Lim, who in TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI) played a top student with repressed emotions.

This year's three other "Best New Performer" nominees were all young actresses. In SAY I DO TO ME (1 YUT FUN LAI), Sabrina Ng Bing in order to stimulate her own Youtube channel hit rate held a wedding for one. Ng Bing thoroughly displayed the characters' humor and wit, exaggerated expressions and the love to make people laugh personality. IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (BAK YUT JI HA)'s young reporter Hui Yuet Sheung had to play a rookie reporter who still had a sense of duty in her media job, hoping to uncover the truth and change the world. She even had to perform without make up in the entire film. Earlier winning the Golden Horse Award and the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards Best New Actor with the film FLY ME TO THE MOON (DAN YUEN YUN CHEUNG GAU), Tse Wing Yan would have a great chance at winning again. She played a young new immigrant from the mainland in Hong Kong. With a drug addict father who kept going to prison, she needed to play the complicated emotions of facing poverty and identity recognition.

Best New Actor and the other 18 awards would be announced on April 14th at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards. The Hong Kong Society for the Blind and the Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Society for the Deaf would provide audio descriptive video service and sign language translation service for the hearing impaired, visually impaired and those in need, so they would be able to enjoy the Hong Kong film industry's annual event without any obstacle and instantly comprehend the winners' experience and joy.
