As the novel coronavirus has run rampant across the globe and the government urged reducing mass gathering. Almost all films had to postpone production, but the Gordon Lam Ka Tung starred new film HAND-ROLLED CIGARETTE (SAU GUEN YIN) last month started production without fear. Recently another film DUEN MONG (BROKEN NET) held a low key production start ceremony. Aaron Kwok Fu Sing's manager Siu Mei earlier posted on social media, "Despite the stormy and turbulent days, we still are able to successfully promote the jobs that we want to do. I am incredibly grateful. Because a lucky hour has been selected today, the team under strict rules had a flash situation launch ceremony. This time the case leader continues to be the director I really admire (Soi) Cheang Po-Soi. He has great character, very talented, patient, and passionately loves film. He can really tell a story. This would be our 5th collaboration." In support of the Hong Kong film industry that is on the edge of collapse, Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and the team all reduced their rates for the production.

In addition, yesterday was Director Andrew Lau Wai Keung's 60th birthday. Every year he would celebrate his birthday near his home, but this year due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, he decided to cancel his celebration. Instead he stayed at home and cooked a meal with his family to celebrate. His birthday wish was for peace and health around the world.
