Famous action actor Mang Hoi (originally named Mang King Hoi) passed away on the 9th from esophageal cancer at age 65. Yesterday morning the funeral took place, then the remains were transported to the Tai Wai Fu Shan Crematorium for cremation. Mang Hoi once was a member of the Sammo Hung stunt team, founder Hung Kam Bo, former colleague Eric Tsang Chi Wai and Mang Hoi's pallbearers Chin Kar Lok, Mat Yeung Ming, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Chin Yuet Sun, Stephen Tung Wai, Daniel Lee Yan Kong, Chan Chi Leung, Ching Tung and others attended to bid farewell to their friend and see him off on his final journey. Everyone were solemn and had difficulty hiding their sorrow. As the junior when Yeung Ming spoke of this mentor and friend, he could not help but break up. He regretted that he has not visited more.

Yeung Ming talked about his connection to Mang Hoi. He said that he has liked him since he was little; because in comparison to action stars, each with their own presence, his appearance was more friendly and cute. Children would feel that they could get close to him. Among his work he particularly liked the MR. VAMPIRE (GEUNG SI SIN SUN) film series. After he grew up, he never thought that he would be able to run into him at the company, not to mention be fortunate enough to get a photo and become friends. Yeung Ming said, "He really spoiled me, often giving me encouragement and even advice to me on production and action skills. He also paid attention to my new work, at dinner he would sit next to me to converse and study. He was a great elder. He even taught me not to say the lines too fast, to be clear and concise; but he actually spoke very fast. Although we didn't have any chance to work together, I am already very happy that I was able to become his junior colleague and friend."

Speaking of often visiting the ailing Mang Hoi, Yeung Ming could no longer control his tears as he said, "In the middle of last month when I visited him, he was very lively. Although he was thinner he still liked to talk and joked with us, he was a happy and optimistic person. He even pointed out that he as prepared to accept Chinese medical treatment, held an optimistic and positive attitude toward his condition. However the illness finally developed......I regret very much that I didn't visit him a few more times! I believe he is now very happy, in another world running into many old friends."
