The Vincent Kok Tak Siu directed film HOUSE OF WOLVES (NGOK YUN KUK) yesterday held a press conference. Francis Ng Chun Yu, Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Candy Yu On On and Babyjohn Choi Hong Yik attended. Chun Yu and Ronald Christmas song duet parody was also shown. Everyone sang Christmas songs on the spot and gave away Christmas candy to celebrate Christmas early.
Ronald in the film played a bully who picked on children. Before the shoot, the assistant director pulled a child star to the side and kept yelling at him. Everyone felt guilty about that, as the child star's father even succumbed to tears. Would Ronald and Chun Yu have the heart to treat children like that after becoming fathers? They said that they did not have the heart to before, normally they would not scare their children. Instead their children would play pranks on them.
Ronald said that his four year old daughter earlier asked him what he was doing in the bathroom. He told her he was "taking a crap". Now every time he goes to the bathroom, his daughter would tell her mother "Papa is taking a crap". He reminded his daughter not to say that at school. Chun Yu once threw cold water at his son while his son was bathing. His son returned fire. He thought that was a rare opportunity for family time.
Chun Yu and Ronald in the film had a kiss scene. They said that the scene was actually a wrestling scene as they were fighting at the time. Speaking of director Kok Tak Siu's sudden weight loss, Ronald said that he lost weight deliberately and his health was not in trouble. He aslo said that his legs were actually were thin. If he kept getting fatter they might not be able to support him. Chun Yu joked, "No worries, ostriches and chickens both can." Kok Tak Siu said that he spent almost a year to lose over 20 pounds, now he weighs 170 some pounds; he lost weight mainly for health. Reportedly he was thinner due to thyroid problems. Kok Tak Siu denied that. He now feels that he has lost enough and would not lose any more.
Yu On On worked on her first comedy and had the most scene with Ronald. During the shoot she would constantly lose her composure. She felt the pressure was not as great with a comedy production. Everyone had a lot of fun. In the film she played Ronald's mother, a rough country woman who constantly yelled at Ronald with foul language. Yu On On admitted that she did not mind playing ugly, she even thought it was pretty fun.
